What an amazing experience, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. They made my stay personal, something that I do not get in other hotels. They have daily activities suggestion, breakfast, afternoon coffee and tea and gym classes are included in the booking. They also have a restaurant on site called Barry's that serve the best cheese fondue. The hotel also has a very nice location, 5 minute walk to Grindelwald station and also the gondola towards Mount First. I highly recommend the place to everyone. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to visit Grindelwald.

I cannot say enough about the property and the staff. Great service all around. Room was great with view of the mountains. They met our every need. Close to everything and having onsite parking was so helpful. The friendliness of the staff simply amazed me. The burgers from the in house restaurant were some of the best I have ever had. Would absolutely stay there again. The only thing I missed was having an AC in the room as this does appear to be a standard item in most hotels in Switzerland. The staff was able to find us an additional fan that helped us greatly during the slightly warmer than usual summer days.

Nice and kind staffs, Enough parking lots, wonderful breakfast buffet and coffee and cake assembly. Really convenient location to train station and the in-house restaurant is super. Oh and the view to the mountains also. I can only recommend.

Very nice modern hotel right on the Main Street and convenient to everything. Rooms were wonderful with a private balcony. Hotel restaurant was also excellent. This hotel was a nights stop hiking the Via Bernia trail (38) and the best thing is it had washing machines and dryers. Hard to find in Switzerland.

Staff are plesant. Breakfasts were delicous. One of the owners checked in the mornings at breakfast to see how we were faring. Hotel is centrally located, has a fully equipped gym, has a wet/dry sauna amd gym classes. The only thing that I didn't like is lack of personally controlled ac or heat. But the personal touches provided by the hotel more than outweighs this.

Great hotel! Central hotel in Grindelwald town, easy to get around on foot. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Hotel was clean and staff cleaned our room every day for all nights that we stayed. Staff was absolutely exceptional and made for a welcoming and pleasant experience. They also had inexpensive washer and dryer for guests to use on site. Breakfast had lots of options and view from our room was beautiful!

Geweldige accomodatie met een schitterend uitzicht op de Eiger. De ontvangst was hartelijk en persoonlijk. De sauna’s zijn mooi en schoon en was echt een kadootje bovenop alles. Het restaurant was ook voortreffelijk!

Great hotel, only a few minutes’ walk from the main train station, so very convenient. Fabulous breakfast spread (with the best Birchermüsli we’ve ever had!) and free coffee and cake between 3-5pm each day, as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room and an inclusive mini bar offering water, apple juice, beer, crisps and chocolates. The hotel offers free use of local buses in Grindelwald and use of the swimming pool in the nearby sports centre. Exceptionally friendly staff too. Would highly recommend. Vielen Dank!

A 3 star hotel at best. No HOT WATER! Room musty, no AC, only ventilation is keeping balcony door open. Refrigerator was not working. Called twice for repairs No hot water on our second night. Had to call to find out, was told to go shower in the spa, however, there was no hot water there. Make-up mirror held together with electric tape. Staff did not offer help with luggage, parking area is way up an incline behind building. Really not what you expect from a pricy hotel.

Stayed at lifestyle comfort room and the mountain view was awesome and everytbing in the mini bar is complimentary. The breakfast spread was excellent. The staff are friendly. There is complimentary shuttle to and fro Grindelwald train station and its on time. Room is very clean. Only spotted a small bit of mold at the corner of the bathroom pane, other than that..its spotless. There is a half staircase to carry the luggages as there are 2 buildlings joined together. The complimentary wifi requires guests to have a mobile phone to receive code, which is a bit strange. We enjoyed out stay there.

The location of this hotel was very close to the bus and train stations. We were able to check in early since our room was ready. We got the room we requested and it was very clean and cozy. Pillows, sheets, towels were all very clean and comfortable. We booked an excursion through the hotel staff and they were very helpful and nice. We included breakfast in our stay and it was delicious and the best we had throughout all of our stays.Hotel has a very nice vibe and would definitely recommend. One thing to note that is not related to the hotel exactly but the area is hilly, so if you have trouble walking, it may be an issue.

We were made to feel very welcome. The hotel is in a central location with easy access to everything. Our room was comfortable and very clean. It’s just getting a little bit tired but everything works.

We really enjoyed our time at the hotel. The staff was amazing, especially Melanie. Wanting to make sure we were happy with every aspect of our stay. The hotel was very clean and we loved the free breakfast. Would highly recommend.

도로변 건물만 있는줄 알았는데 뒷편으로 건물이 더 있어서 상당한 규모를 가지고 있습니다. 객실을 깔끔하고 청결했으며 직원분 모두 모두 너무나 친절했습니다~ (뭘 더 못해줘서 아쉬운 사람들 같아요 ㅎㅎ) 아침 조식포함인데 아주 좋습니다 (미니바도 포함) 산 전망으로 조용한 편이고 위치는 기차에서 내려서 적당히 걸어올만 했네요(제 기준) 버스타고 가기도 걸어가기도 살짝 애매하다소 생각하실 수도… 예약할땐 비싸다고 생각했는데 스위스 물가 생각하면 그리 비싼 금액은 아닌듯 싶어요 그리고 저는 뒷편 건물에 묵었는데 건물에서 밖으로 나올때 항상 앞건물로 나와야해서 그게 조금 불편했네요 건물옆 주차장가는 길로 올라가면 뒷건물로 바로 갈수는 있긴하긴한데 에매합니다 다음에 그린델발트에 다시간다면 여기에 예약하고 싶네요

The room is big compare to other hotel. We got upgrade to suit which has a garden outside. Sitting there is very relax after a long walk during the day. The drinks in the mini bar are free as well. The coffee machine in the room also very good. Highly recommend to others.

Este hotel es increíble, habitaciones muy modernas, cómodas, grandes y todo el hotel en general es bonito, el personal es muy amable, muy limpio todo, venía incluido el minibar, el buffet está muy bueno, las vistas desde la habitación son espectaculares y sin duda volvería a hospedarme aquí, todo queda muy cerca caminando!

Unpleasantly hot in the summer, even in early September! I was aware at time of booking that there is no AC, but I was not aware that the room doesn't have any windows that can open! On the plus side, the included breakfast was the best I had in over a week in Switzerland at four different properties.

Great location in Grindelwald. Close to train station and bus station and on the main strip. The hotel was nice and the room was larger than many European rooms. The only downside was no AC when it was quite hot.

This is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. The breakfast is over the top amazing. Hotel is central and walking distance to everything. The beds are very very hard- I had a stiff neck the entire time. Otherwise, it was outstanding.

The room got really hot -- no air conditioning -- and they had only one small portable fan in the room, but there were three of us. My son's bed was set up on the other side of a wall, and he had some difficulty sleeping the first night because of the temp. When I asked for a second fan the next morning, the young man at the front desk appeared to give me some slack and informed me that the hotel allows only one fan per room. I told him that wasn't a solution for three people. He did finally send maintenance with another fan, but I was forced to have a lengthy discussion with him and to really put my foot down to resolve the situation. Otherwise, a nice hotel, especially Barry's Restaurant for fondue at dinnertime. The breakfast was scrumptious, too.

The hotel staff here were extremely nice and attentive. The manager would walk around during the day and ask how everybody was doing and if there was anything they could do to make our stay more enjoyable. Great location and walkable to everything.

The location of this hotel was very close to the bus and train stations. We were able to check in early since our room was ready. We got the room we requested and it was very clean and cozy. Pillows, sheets, towels were all very clean and comfortable. We booked an excursion through the hotel staff and they were very helpful and nice. We included breakfast in our stay and it was delicious and the best we had throughout all of our stays.Hotel has a very nice vibe and would definitely recommend. One thing to note that is not related to the hotel exactly but the area is hilly, so if you have trouble walking, it may be an issue.

Fantastic stay! Best hotel experience we’ve had. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The minibar was complimentary, which is highly unusual but very much appreciated. They also had free apples that you could take. Breakfast was very good and had a large selection. The owner or manager of the hotel stopped by everyone’s tables and asked how they were doing and were super nice. When we checked out, they gave us free homemade ice tea! I wish other hotels would have this level of customer service. Highly recommend this hotel.

A very pleasant stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and flexible. Breakfast was great with lots of options. The workout area was a nice touch to start my early mornings. Great location. Very close to the gondolas up to First and it offers tremendous views of the surrounding mountains. If I am ever back to Grindelwald I will stay again

The property is closento parking if you are driving and close to the train, so luggage is not inconvenient. The property is also close to shopping, ski rentals and the gondola to First..the breakfast is is divine and is included and the staff is simply AMAZING!

Geweldige accomodatie met een schitterend uitzicht op de Eiger. De ontvangst was hartelijk en persoonlijk. De sauna’s zijn mooi en schoon en was echt een kadootje bovenop alles. Het restaurant was ook voortreffelijk!

Great hotel, only a few minutes’ walk from the main train station, so very convenient. Fabulous breakfast spread (with the best Birchermüsli we’ve ever had!) and free coffee and cake between 3-5pm each day, as well as tea and coffee making facilities in the room and an inclusive mini bar offering water, apple juice, beer, crisps and chocolates. The hotel offers free use of local buses in Grindelwald and use of the swimming pool in the nearby sports centre. Exceptionally friendly staff too. Would highly recommend. Vielen Dank!

The room got really hot -- no air conditioning -- and they had only one small portable fan in the room, but there were three of us. My son's bed was set up on the other side of a wall, and he had some difficulty sleeping the first night because of the temp. When I asked for a second fan the next morning, the young man at the front desk appeared to give me some slack and informed me that the hotel allows only one fan per room.
