Das Hotel ist super gelegen, direkt am See, hat eine Liegewiese, schönes Gartenrestaurant und auch ein Wellnessbereich, der allerdings im anderen Gebäude war. Im Inneren des Hotels ist es etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber gepflegt! Zimmer war tipptopp, leider auf die Strasse und daher sehr laut.

Absolutely lovely hotel on Lake Zurich. Highly recommend, we stayed three nights in the 2nd floor suite which was large and accommodating. The private lakeside and bear garden is incredibly convenient and you’re 20 minutes from Zurich by boat or train!

Das Hotel war spitze! Die Unterkunft liegt 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof fußläufig entfernt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren super. Der Service in den Restaurants war ausgezeichnet. Im Nebengebäude befindet sich ein moderner Wellnessbereich inklusive Fitnessstudio. See Wellnessbereich umfasst ein Dampfbad und eine finnische Sauna, sowie 2 Jaccuzzi-Badewannen. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen wieder!

Our stay here was exceptional! The staff were all courteous, thoughtful and helpful. On our first night we needed a crib for our toddler so they immediately brought one up, put brand new sheets on it and gave my daughter a rubber ducky. This is only one example of the extraordinary service we received. Our room was nice and clean and the view was beautiful. We also loved to sit outside in their outdoor eating area for gelato and to see beautiful lake Zurich. My daughter loved that there was a small playground there for her. They also have a small private beach where my husband loved to go for early morning swims in the lake (he was able to ask for a beach towel at reception as it was end of May and towels were not out yet). If you walk a bit further past their beach area, there are multiple parks to see, overall very beautiful. The location of the hotel is perfect! It is located at the Küsnacht ferry stop, so just one short ride away from Zurich city center. Because of this ferry and the fact that the train station to the airport is a couple minutes walk across the street, a car was not necessary. When I am in Zurich again, I will definitely stay here again!

This hotel has outstanding service. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk made us feel right at home and were so helpful with all of our questions. The wait staff at the restaurant were top notch going above and beyond our expectations. Then there’s the beer garden. Hot and cold food made to order, and drinks prepared expertly at the bar. All of this with seating right on Lake Zurich. Excellent experience!!!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly and welcoming. They were helpful with any question we had. There were a lot of events occurring on property so the parking area got crowded but the car attendant did a great job moving cars to accommodate. The hotel was also beautifully decorated for the holidays!

This hotel is so close to both the train and boat stations, that getting into Zurich or to Rapperswil is too easy. The Bier Garten is absolutely perfect in atmosphere. The restaurant is fine dining and the breakfast is a must. The hotel is the best of Swiss hospitality and comfort.

Et flott sted - bare en kort togtur til sentrum av Zürich - 2 min å gå til togstasjon. En koselig hage med fine muligheter til å bade. Vær obs på at rommene ikke har air condition. Rommene er utstyrt med en vifte, som hjelper litt men det kan bli varmt på de varmeste dagene.

We checked in to the hotel and had to wait for a room. No problem… but we asked for a water view room. Every other hotel on the trip upgraded us. Not here. They had rooms available for an extra $175. per nite. Our room looked over the road. It was so small we could not lay our luggage out. Could barely walk around the room. Thomas in dining was great and engaging. Won’t go back there ever.

Very nice hotel right on the lake. Easy access to downtown Zurich by boat or train both of which are right by the property. Rooms are updated but small compared to American hotel rooms and no air conditioning.

Wow! Loved this hotel! The decor is stunning, the beds are super comfy, the location on the lake is dreamy, and the breakfast was excellent! We loved being on the lake and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We also the loved the historic appeal of many of the rooms. The sauna was enjoyable and an added bonus. Will return one day!

The fact that a hotel of this quality and price does not have air conditioning is absolutely shocking. We were dreading going back to our room for the 3 nights. It was a sweat box and really was an unpleasant experience.

Every time we asked to eat dinner we were initially told by one waiter that a table was available. It was obvious the restaurant was only 1/3 full. But every time another waiter would come over to us and say "no room." Was it because we were Americans? We sat in the bar lounge and watched and saw the empty tables stayed empty for the entire time.

super cozy and comfortable hotel. great views. breakfast ok not wow and check-in process/staff is never great. They are rude and not clear about the rules about parking. Also they charge 20 CHF for the parking.

Lovely hotel in beautiful setting. I arrived 9.30 am dishevelled from overnight journey and needed to change and freshen up to give adress 11am for old friends memorial Kusnacht cemetary. They showed real hospitality and empathy by allowing me to check in to their only empty room. incidentally a significant upgrade! They hosted the lunch after for 50, and could not fault so clearly v good at functions too

Nice lake views; occasional bad smells (3 times in two weeks); regular restaurant service is good in the newly reopened Stuebli it is fair at best; while food was great, waiters did not remove empty bread plates and champagne glasses at all, wine service was mediocre, guests closed the door while staff did not thus creating drafts. Maybe just reopening issues? Overall staff was very good. Easy train access into the city. Nice walks along the Tobelweg.

Our stay here was exceptional! The staff were all courteous, thoughtful and helpful. On our first night we needed a crib for our toddler so they immediately brought one up, put brand new sheets on it and gave my daughter a rubber ducky. This is only one example of the extraordinary service we received. Our room was nice and clean and the view was beautiful. We also loved to sit outside in their outdoor eating area for gelato and to see beautiful lake Zurich. My daughter loved that there was a small playground there for her. They also have a small private beach where my husband loved to go for early morning swims in the lake (he was able to ask for a beach towel at reception as it was end of May and towels were not out yet). If you walk a bit further past their beach area, there are multiple parks to see, overall very beautiful. The location of the hotel is perfect! It is located at the Küsnacht ferry stop, so just one short ride away from Zurich city center. This hotel has outstanding service. The ladies and gentlemen at the front desk made us feel right at home and were so helpful with all of our questions. The wait staff at the restaurant were top notch going above and beyond our expectations. Then there’s the beer garden. Hot and cold food made to order, and drinks prepared expertly at the bar. All of this with seating right on Lake Zurich. Excellent experience!!!

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly and welcoming. They were helpful with any question we had. There were a lot of events occurring on property so the parking area got crowded but the car attendant did a great job moving cars to accommodate. The hotel was also beautifully decorated for the holidays!

Et flott sted - bare en kort togtur til sentrum av Zürich - 2 min å gå til togstasjon. En koselig hage med fine muligheter til å bade. Vær obs på at rommene ikke har air condition. Rommene er utstyrt med en vifte, som hjelper litt men det kan bli varmt på de varmeste dagene.

This is a very beautiful hotel. The decor is extremely well done. The location can't be beat- on the water, outside dining, next to the ferry, adjacent river walkway, great neighborhood and close to downtown Zurich.

Wow! Loved this hotel! The decor is stunning, the beds are super comfy, the location on the lake is dreamy, and the breakfast was excellent! We loved being on the lake and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We also the loved the historic appeal of many of the rooms. The sauna was enjoyable and an added bonus. Will return one day!

Absolutely lovely hotel on Lake Zurich. Highly recommend, we stayed three nights in the 2nd floor suite which was large and accommodating. The private lakeside and bear garden is incredibly convenient and you’re 20 minutes from Zurich by boat or train!

Every time we asked to eat dinner we were initially told by one waiter that a table was available. It was obvious the restaurant was only 1/3 full. But every time another waiter would come over to us and say "no room." Was it because we were Americans? We sat in the bar lounge and watched and saw the empty tables stayed empty for the entire time.

Nice lake views; occasional bad smells (3 times in two weeks); regular restaurant service is good in the newly reopened Stuebli it is fair at best; while food was great, waiters did not remove empty bread plates and champagne glasses at all, wine service was mediocre, guests closed the door while staff did not thus creating drafts. Maybe just reopening issues? Overall staff was very good. Easy train access into the city. Nice walks along the Tobelweg.

Das Hotel war spitze! Die Unterkunft liegt 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof fußläufig entfernt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren super. Der Service in den Restaurants war ausgezeichnet. Im Nebengebäude befindet sich ein moderner Wellnessbereich inklusive Fitnessstudio. See Wellnessbereich umfasst ein Dampfbad und eine finnische Sauna, sowie 2 Jaccuzzi-Badewannen. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir kommen wieder!

The hotel overall was very nice overlooking the lake but the room was small for the price. The room was extremely hot and stuffy and even though the room was for 4 people, only one fan that was barely working was provided. I would not recommend staying here in the hot weather. The breakfast was very good and the staff was very nice.

Beautiful hotel right on the bank of the Zurich Lake. Unfortunately the hotel was still under construction so we couldn't get to use the outside restaurant - but nevertheless lovely hotel and would definitely stay again. The buffet breakfast is a must and the front desk was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend if you are going to Zurich!

Only complaint - hotel in a massive renovation, not clearly communicated at Expedia site - ended up in a room facing afternoon sun, outside 30C plus, inside way above that as cleaners had not bothered to close the shades. A noisy fan did not help. Find it very disappointing that £440 per night hotel has no air con (and when we asked will not have as old building is protected and no air con can be installed. Our first visit was 1994, and many times thereafter.
