I loved the cottage and its location close to the pool and beach. Very quiet at night. Within walkable distance to the shops and vendors but i decided to take a taxi, 5 min drive. PADI dive training onsite. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Absolute dump. Words can’t describe how bad. Filthy, no water in the shower, but plenty leaking through the bathroom roof. Totally rundown. Some noisy maintenance going on from 7am & debris everywhere. Can’t believe this is on Expedia- let alone how much we paid. Left after one night.

The floor in the bungalow had cracks and splinters (guessing termites or something, because there where new small piles of sawdust on the floor all the time) wasn't that childproof for our toddler and I hurt my toe bleeding one time on a crack. And you could see dark patches in the sealing too! Could really need a renovation! And we also got clothes ruined by the provided clothing rack on the terrace, left stains of colour that doesn't get to wash off! (also a lot of animal poo on the terrace, guessing lizards, and a lot of mosquitos!!) The pool area is not safe for children! Steep stairs and high edges without any safety barriers! Requested a baby cot/bed but they where all in use, but the staff fixed one from another place for a small fee, much appreciated! 👍 The beach is nice and the bungalows has nice location, but the lobby is a fair walk up the hill if you want to get pool towels or need assistens.

Hotellet ligger nydelig til rett ved Sairee beach. Området er opparbeidet med fin beplantning og basseng. Bungalowene er romslige med egen veranda Hotellet tilbyr også gratis skyss til piren to ganger om dagen. Dessverre svarte ikke alt til forventningene. Det er potensiale til forbedring av små ting som kan høyne inntrykket en del. Gammelt og ødelagt kjøleskap, mugne madrasser ved bassenget, lite trykk i dusj og bråk fra arbeid på området. Personalet var som regel imøtekommende men vi opplevde at ved forespørsler i resepsjonen følte vi oss til bry.

Needs a major upgrade, very expensive, service and facilities did not meet cost, photos do not reflect reality. Trying to be something it’s not. Captain suite is a joke. On a positive note great facilities to learn to dive but should come at a much cheaper cost based on facilities.

I wanted a hut right on the beach next to a dive centre, and thats what I got. However this place really needs some substantial investment to bring it up to the standard it deserves. Daily power cuts, paper-thin walls, tired decor, mediocre restaurant that closes at 7pm, struggling aircon, and staff not exactly motivated. The 5 star PADI dive centre was very handy, and very well run. They were totally understanding when I had to cancel a 6am dive because I couldnt sleep all night due to a rave down the beach. It was so loud you could hear it in Bangkok. Like trying to go to sleep in the dance tent at Glastonbury! Luxury this wasn't, and I was happy to leave.

Really really REALLY worn down. Worst hotel I have slept in the last 25 years. Price is WAY too high compared to quality of hotel. Everything was grand 30 years ago, but it should not be called grand anymore. We stayed in the captain suite, but nothing like a suite about this “AC bungalow”. The fridge didn’t work and smelled really bad. When my daughter walked on the floor even the beds are jumping. Crazy hard beds. WiFi did not work the last 1,5 days. Shower did not work 3 days, it was raining into the bathroom. Diving center closed. Expensive prices in Restaurant. It’s hard to swim in ocean because of low tide and many many boats. They start sweeping outside our door at 7:00. And continue for +2 hours at least. Very noisy. its like sleeping in at tent regarding noise. You hear everything. Recommend using bathing shoes in pool, many sharp edges that can hurt you. Only 2 good thing with this place. Temperature of the pool is the best I have tried in Thailand. And the huts are located 500m ish away from the bars playing music, so it is possible to sleep. (You can hear the bass though) Never coming back to this hotel again.

Typisch geval van vergane glorie. ideaal resort als je wil duiken. Heeft eigen duikschool. Walkingstreet prima aan te lopen. Resort is alleen waarschijnlijk 50 jaar geleden gebouwd en daarna niet veel meer aan gedaan. Slecht sanitair, prima bedden.

Coral grand The Coral Grand Resort, as you walk down to your room you walk by parts of the resort half torn down with garbage all around the outside of the building. We paid for a beach side bungalow, the location was great, right on the beach but when we entered the room and noticed the bathroom was on a lower level as an add on to the building. The bathroom smelled like mold and mildew really bad. The tub was a dirty old wooden bathtub not like the images shown online. The location was great so we thought we would put up with the smell. After finding 5-6 cockroaches running around the bathroom in the evening, we complained to the staff, they arrived at our room with a chemical spray to deter the cockroaches, but they soon returned. Showing the staff the mold and fungus looking growths on the ceiling we asked for a refund on our remaining night, they said it was impossible on their end it had to come from Expedia, but when the request came in from Expedia they said the resort refused to cancel. The resort indicated multiple people have cancelled their stays and it always comes from the booking agency. I talked with others who were staying at the resort and each one of them said the rooms smelled like mold and not at all like the images on the booking sites. I would not book here again and I would hope Expedia and other booking sites would adjust the images of the resort.

Bodde her en uke og hadde det veldig fint selv om mye kunne vært bedre. Men til prisen man betaler, får man veldig mye for pengene. Hadde en "sailor cottage" en litt tilbaketrukket bungalow, veldig god størrelse og alt man trengte for å ha det fint her. Renholdet og vedlikeholdet kunne absolutt vært bedre, det er ingen utsikt å snakke om. Men sengen var ren, sengetøy og håndkle ble skiftet og det er det viktigste for meg. Terassen hadde stoler og bord, men ikke veldig tiltalende og sitte der, dels pga mye bugs, dårlig vedlikehold uteområde og det var heller ingen utsikt. Bassenget er fint, men det blir lite brukt da man har en nydelig strand et steinkast unna. Trivelige mennesker som jobber her og maten i restauranten var god. Trenger du ikke luksus men et ok sted er dette et bra sted og du får mye for pengene. Coral Grand Resort ligger fint til rett ved Sairee Beach. Vi si at dette er den fineste delen av stranden, kort vei til "sentrum" Sairee Beach hvor utesteder og restaurantene ligger.

Väldigt dåligt, jag bokade till och med en svit och det va smutsiga lakan, hår kvar i badrummet, kryp och insekter överallt och spår av vägglöss. Elen funkade till och från, poolen va inte heller speciellt fräsch. Jag lämnade detta boende på en gång med tanke på spår av vägglöss!!

The hotel is in terrible condition. The door to our room had to be slammed in order to work. The bathroom was not as clean as could be and the shower didn’t drain properly. There was no division between toilet and shower, so the whole place gets wet when you showered. Reception hours are limited and the guy that works up front is not friendly at all. The grounds could use upkeep and maintenance. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

Stayed for 3 nights, ideal location on the beach, our air conditioning didn't work on arrival but was fixed within 10 mins. The villa's could do with a little tlc but for the price I'd highly recommend this place.

The floor in the bungalow had cracks and splinters (guessing termites or something, because there where new small piles of sawdust on the floor all the time) wasn't that childproof for our toddler and I hurt my toe bleeding one time on a crack. And you could see dark patches in the sealing too! Could really need a renovation! And we also got clothes ruined by the provided clothing rack on the terrace, left stains of colour that doesn't get to wash off! (also a lot of animal poo on the terrace, guessing lizards, and a lot of mosquitos!!) The pool area is not safe for children! Steep stairs and high edges without any safety barriers! I wanted a hut right on the beach next to a dive centre, and thats what I got. However this place really needs some substantial investment to bring it up to the standard it deserves. Daily power cuts, paper-thin walls, tired decor, mediocre restaurant that closes at 7pm, struggling aircon, and staff not exactly motivated. The 5 star PADI dive centre was very handy, and very well run. They were totally understanding when I had to cancel a 6am dive because I couldnt sleep all night due to a rave down the beach. It was so loud you could hear it in Bangkok. Like trying to go to sleep in the dance tent at Glastonbury! Luxury this wasn't, and I was happy to leave.

Really really REALLY worn down. Worst hotel I have slept in the last 25 years. Price is WAY too high compared to quality of hotel. Everything was grand 30 years ago, but it should not be called grand anymore. We stayed in the captain suite, but nothing like a suite about this “AC bungalow”. The fridge didn’t work and smelled really bad. When my daughter walked on the floor even the beds are jumping. Crazy hard beds. WiFi did not work the last 1,5 days. Shower did not work 3 days, it was raining into the bathroom. Diving center closed. Expensive prices in Restaurant. It’s hard to swim in ocean because of low tide and many many boats. They start sweeping outside our door at 7:00. And continue for +2 hours at least. Very noisy. its like sleeping in at tent regarding noise. You hear everything. Recommend using bathing shoes in pool, many sharp edges that can hurt you. Only 2 good thing with this place. Temperature of the pool is the best I have tried in Thailand. And the huts are located 500m ish away from the bars playing music, so it is possible to sleep. (You can hear the bass though) Never coming back to this hotel again.

Stayed for 3 nights, ideal location on the beach, our air conditioning didn't work on arrival but was fixed within 10 mins. The villa's could do with a little tlc but for the price I'd highly recommend this place.

Coral grand The Coral Grand Resort, as you walk down to your room you walk by parts of the resort half torn down with garbage all around the outside of the building. We paid for a beach side bungalow, the location was great, right on the beach but when we entered the room and noticed the bathroom was on a lower level as an add on to the building. The bathroom smelled like mold and mildew really bad. The tub was a dirty old wooden bathtub not like the images shown online. The location was great so we thought we would put up with the smell. After finding 5-6 cockroaches running around the bathroom in the evening, we complained to the staff, they arrived at our room with a chemical spray to deter the cockroaches, but they soon returned. Showing the staff the mold and fungus looking growths on the ceiling we asked for a refund on our remaining night, they said it was impossible on their end it had to come from Expedia, but when the request came in from Expedia they said the resort refused to cancel. The resort indicated multiple people have cancelled their stays and it always comes from the booking agency. I talked with others who were staying at the resort and each one of them said the rooms smelled like mold and not at all like the images on the booking sites. I would not book here again and I would hope Expedia and other booking sites would adjust the images of the resort.

The hotel is in terrible condition. The door to our room had to be slammed in order to work. The bathroom was not as clean as could be and the shower didn’t drain properly. There was no division between toilet and shower, so the whole place gets wet when you showered. Reception hours are limited and the guy that works up front is not friendly at all. The grounds could use upkeep and maintenance. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone!

I loved the cottage and its location close to the pool and beach. Very quiet at night. Within walkable distance to the shops and vendors but i decided to take a taxi, 5 min drive. PADI dive training onsite. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Very nice hotel in great location as away from the noise and party life but walkable if you want to join in. Just got quite a lot of termite damage so property getting to the end of its life span.

Bodde her en uke og hadde det veldig fint selv om mye kunne vært bedre. Men til prisen man betaler, får man veldig mye for pengene. Hadde en "sailor cottage" en litt tilbaketrukket bungalow, veldig god størrelse og alt man trengte for å ha det fint her. Renholdet og vedlikeholdet kunne absolutt vært bedre, det er ingen utsikt å snakke om. Men sengen var ren, sengetøy og håndkle ble skiftet og det er det viktigste for meg. Terassen hadde stoler og bord, men ikke veldig tiltalende og sitte der, dels pga mye bugs, dårlig vedlikehold uteområde og det var heller ingen utsikt. Bassenget er fint, men det blir lite brukt da man har en nydelig strand et steinkast unna. Trivelige mennesker som jobber her og maten i restauranten var god. Trenger du ikke luksus men et ok sted er dette et bra sted og du får mye for pengene. Coral Grand Resort ligger fint til rett ved Sairee Beach. Vi si at dette er den fineste delen av stranden, kort vei til "sentrum" Sairee Beach hvor utesteder og restaurantene ligger.

Wir haben uns in diesem Hotel leider gar nicht wohl gefühlt. Der Empfang war sehr kalt, die Räume sind wirklich alt und schäbig eingerichtet. Der Strand ist leider eher unsauber. Das Restaurant schliesst um 19 Uhr..? Wiso? Wir haben das Hotel nach einer Nacht gewechselt...

It was so loud you could hear it in Bangkok. Like trying to go to sleep in the dance tent at Glastonbury! Luxury this wasn't, and I was happy to leave.
I wanted a hut right on the beach next to a dive centre, and thats what I got. However this place really needs some substantial investment to bring it up to the standard it deserves. Daily power cuts, paper-thin walls, tired decor, mediocre restaurant that closes at 7pm, struggling aircon, and staff not exactly motivated. The 5 star PADI dive centre was very handy, and very well run. They were totally understanding when I had to cancel a 6am dive because I couldnt sleep all night due to a rave down the beach. It was so loud you could hear it in Bangkok. Like trying to go to sleep in the dance tent at Glastonbury! Luxury this wasn't, and I was happy to leave.

Really really REALLY worn down. Worst hotel I have slept in the last 25 years. Price is WAY too high compared to quality of hotel. Everything was grand 30 years ago, but it should not be called grand anymore. We stayed in the captain suite, but nothing like a suite about this “AC bungalow”. The fridge didn’t work and smelled really bad. When my daughter walked on the floor even the beds are jumping. Crazy hard beds. WiFi did not work the last 1,5 days. Shower did not work 3 days, it was raining into the bathroom. Diving center closed. Expensive prices in Restaurant. It’s hard to swim in ocean because of low tide and many many boats. They start sweeping outside our door at 7:00. And continue for +2 hours at least. Very noisy. its like sleeping in at tent regarding noise. You hear everything. Recommend using bathing shoes in pool, many sharp edges that can hurt you. Only 2 good thing with this place. Temperature of the pool is the best I have tried in Thailand. And the huts are located 500m ish away from the bars playing music, so it is possible to sleep. (You can hear the bass though) Never coming back to this hotel again.

The room was dirty and woren down. The linnen onthe beds were dirty. The dir sins not have a proper lock an we felt unsafe. We did not sleep much that night and left early nexsst morning even though we had booked for 3 nights. Would never be staying here again. The person in the reception got mad when we checked out. We enjoyed staying at coral grand resort. Has the Thai vibe that you are looking for. Staff is very nice. Very sad we had to leave Food is great. Beach side fantastic Highly recommended. Can’t wait to come back
