Maryculter House

Excellent country manor hotel in a remote location outside Aberdeen. Very well maintained and well staffed. We had a comfortable room with a view of the river. The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast. Can't fault our stay.

Staff very helpful. Reported towel rail not working and water overflowing to bathroom floor when showering. Biggest disappointment was breakfast, no bowls or plates at the buffet. Empty orange juice containers, no croissants either morning and only 2 pastries! Asked for yogurts as there were none, the two I picked were out of date by 3 days, not good enough. I could go on, however, girl was very apologetic and worked hard for us and other guests. Not what we expect from a 4 star establishment. Hotel is lovely, had a room overlooking the river.

The hotel is always a favourite place of mine to stay when in the region, good quality fixtures and fittings, comfortable bed and rooms, fantastic housekeeping and great food & service, The Great Hall (Residents Lounge) is a special place to enjoy a glass of wine.

Mega hyggeligt sted

Absolutely amazing place! From the friendly staff to the astonishing c.1225 Great Hall, Maryculter House delivers a great experience. The interior design is particularly well done.
