First off, Sangeeta was the most accommodating, down to earth and helpful owner I’ve ever dealt with. Quick responses with so many questions and upon talking with her on the phone it made me feel even more connected to her special property!I had sent my chiropractor and family on a well deserved trip to Riverwood Cottage. They have a 5 year old boy and a 1 year old baby. Dad said there was so much to see and do for the boy. They met the house cleaners when they arrived and said they were super nice. The hot tub, gas fire pit and the little beach were a big hit. The boy was able to get to enjoy the river on one side where he could walk in. The home was clean and so quaint and comfortable for the 4 of them. They and I highly recommend Sangeeta’s lovely, relaxing, and fun home and are so thankful I found her place for them! Thank you Sangeeta for a very wonderful experience, and for others too, by sharing with all of us! Hoping they can find the time in their busy schedules to return again!!

The place exceeded our expectations. It was so beautiful and the property itself was great. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all meals and we enjoyed the jacuzzi and firepit for the evenings. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful little home in a beautiful area. Amazing views of the trees, hills, and river. Hot tub was fabulous! Cozy fireplace and wonderful beds with big fluffy duvets. Would love to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The owner was the most responsive person I’ve ever dealt with at a rental. She checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and responded to our inquiries immediately. The house is clean and has everything you need. The bed is also very comfortable. Our favorite part however was the outdoor area. There’s a great deck with beautiful views that is completely enclosed which was very convenient since we brought our dogs. The backyard is amazing! There are mature trees throughout and lots of great places to sit and relax and enjoy the views. There is also a fire pit and the owner left us a s’mores kit that we made on our first night. On the left hand side of the yard is a bridge surrounded by beautiful landscape that leads to a pathway you can take to walk down to a really nice private beach right on the river. We set up chairs at the water’s edge and loved watching all of the birds including a Great Blue Heron feeding and all of the ducks with their babies. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer next time!

The host of this darling cottage has thought of every detail. It is stocked with everything! The view is beautiful, with gorgeous flowers in bloom, ferns and Redwoods abound. There are so many sitting areas to relax and take in the beauty, including the quiet and private jacuzzi. There are also inter tubes and rafts for floating down the river. We definitely plan to stay again!

Excellent rental, perfect location, phenomenal yard w great river access. We had a great time enjoying the river playing badminton in the large yard and warm fireplace in the evening. A perfect weekend with the family.

We had a wonderful time at the Riverwood Cottage. The owner was very responsive to questions and access was very clear and easy. The cottage is so cute inside and beautiful outside! We were a family of 3 plus our dog and the size was just right for us. The large back yard was a treat for us and our dog but the yard is not fully fenced in. Luckily our dog comes when called but we had to keep an eye out on her as she did disappeared once, but came back when called. We enjoyed the fire pit and indoor fireplace as it was rather chilly while we were there. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom has an old fashioned claw footed tub which was fun to see but difficult to access for anyone with mobility issues. There is the large shower down below the main living level that can be used if needed, but it was cold so we didn't use it. We really enjoyed the Riverwood Cottage!

My mom and I stand here for Labor Day weekend, and our first impression of the cottage was how incredibly clean it was and how it was equipped with any kitchen tool/appliance you would ever need! The area around the property was quiet and safe. Easy access to get into the river, and it was nice having a hot tub to get into when it was cold outside. Overall highly recommend staying here!

My friend Kathy and I just loved the Riverwood Cottage! We stayed for three nights and the time just flew. It was impeccably clean, lovely decorated, AND comfortable beds! Had to call hostess on a couple of occasions and she answered immediately and quickly resolved our questions. Looking forward to another visit soon!

This property is a sanctuary - a cottage set amidst massive redwoods and open, sun-drenched lawn on the river's edge. The cottage is immaculate, highly efficient yet comfortable. Everything necessary to a wonderful stay is provided. And Sangeeta is the best! She's always in touch, clear & concise with her messaging, and with warmth that has made me feel like I'm staying in the home of a friend. I just departed and will soon be booking my return. Spent a long weekend here. The house is clean and updated. The property is nestled along the shore but amongst the redwoods. Hot tub is great and communication with host was superb. We would stay here again.

We had a great week at Riverwood. The house is spotless, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. It was grey and drizzling so we didn't get to spend much time enjoying the huge yard, but the hot tub on the deck was very relaxing. We will be back.

We loved our stay here. House is clean, located in a quiet neighborhood with spacious yard and deck. Spent our days out on the lawn reading books and our evenings in the tub stargazing. We will be back!

We loved our stay at Riverwood Cottage. It is a large riverfront property. The house is small but very comfortable and well-appointed. The owner was very responsive when I had a question. We especially appreciated the fireplace, view, and gorgeous dog-friendly yard. It rained a lot but we were very cozy in the house and loved watched the river rise. There is even a small store in walking distance. The oven is tricky so bring foods that are for stovetop cooking.

Where to begin….from the first time I reached out to Sangeeta all the way through the booking process and the end of our stay, she was helpful, kind and gave us all the information we needed to know. The cottage is clean, very well-stocked and even though it’s small it would be perfect for entertaining as the vast yard and deck allow for all the space that anyone needs to see, breathe and feel the peace that this property provides. We brought our paddle boards and walked them down to the river access. I understand that it may not be the most ideal put-in, as it was a bit muddy…but you’re about get into the water, so not a big deal. The river was fairly low at this time, which was fine, but the view from the house was just only a tiny less than it could’ve been. We didn’t use the hot tub, but how cool is that??? Where to begin….from the first time I reached out to Sangeeta all the way through the booking process and the end of our stay, she was helpful, kind and gave us all the information we needed to know. The cottage is clean, very well-stocked and even though it’s small it would be perfect for entertaining as the vast yard and deck allow for all the space that anyone needs to see, breathe and feel the peace that this property provides. We brought our paddle boards and walked them down to the river access. I understand that it may not be the most ideal put-in, as it was a bit muddy…but you’re about get into the water, so not a big deal. The river was fairly low at this time, which was fine, but the view from the house was just only a tiny less than it could’ve been. We didn’t use the hot tub, but how cool is that??? If I could have given zero stars, I would have. We arrived at this property during unprecedented flooding in the area. We contacted the owner several days before arriving to confirm that the area was safe and the property was not flooded. The owner assured that us that everything was fine. However, we arrived to find rushing, debris filled flood water surrounding the house. The yard pictured in the listing was completely under water and was unrecognizable from the pictures on VRBO. When I contacted the owner again upon arriving, we were told that the house was “safe” and our concerns were downplayed. Concerned for our safety, we immediately searched for other accommodations and were lucky enough to find another VRBO rental in the area that was not flooded. We spent less than 20 minutes at this property and notified the owner that we were leaving because of the property’s condition. Despite this, the owner refused to allow us to cancel the booking or provide a refund of any amount, not even the “cleaning fee” or “service fee” (which were clearly inappropriate given that we never stayed at the property). Instead, the owner insisted that the property was “completely fine” and characterized the widespread flooding as the “winter experience” as though someone would choose to put their family in such danger. Think twice before booking this property. We have stayed at VRBOs all over the world and have never had an experience like this.

My friend Kathy and I just loved the Riverwood Cottage! We stayed for three nights and the time just flew. It was impeccably clean, lovely decorated, AND comfortable beds! Had to call hostess on a couple of occasions and she answered immediately and quickly resolved our questions. Looking forward to another visit soon!

First, let me admit that I'm in the hospitality industry. In my travels, I'm always 'sizing things up'! This property is a sanctuary - a cottage set amidst massive redwoods and open, sun-drenched lawn on the river's edge. The cottage is immaculate, highly efficient yet comfortable. Everything necessary to a wonderful stay is provided. And Sangeeta is the best! She's always in touch, clear & concise with her messaging, and with warmth that has made me feel like I'm staying in the home of a friend. I just departed and will soon be booking my return. Spent a long weekend here. The house is clean and updated. The property is nestled along the shore but amongst the redwoods. Hot tub is great and communication with host was superb. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The owner was the most responsive person I’ve ever dealt with at a rental. She checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and responded to our inquiries immediately. The house is clean and has everything you need. The bed is also very comfortable. Our favorite part however was the outdoor area. There’s a great deck with beautiful views that is completely enclosed which was very convenient since we brought our dogs. The backyard is amazing! There are mature trees throughout and lots of great places to sit and relax and enjoy the views. There is also a fire pit and the owner left us a s’mores kit that we made on our first night. On the left hand side of the yard is a bridge surrounded by beautiful landscape that leads to a pathway you can take to walk down to a really nice private beach right on the river. We set up chairs at the water’s edge and loved watching all of the birds including a Great Blue Heron feeding and all of the ducks with their babies. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer next time!

We had a wonderful time at the Riverwood Cottage. The owner was very responsive to questions and access was very clear and easy. The cottage is so cute inside and beautiful outside! We were a family of 3 plus our dog and the size was just right for us. The large back yard was a treat for us and our dog but the yard is not fully fenced in. Luckily our dog comes when called but we had to keep an eye out on her as she did disappeared once, but came back when called. We enjoyed the fire pit and indoor fireplace as it was rather chilly while we were there. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom has an old fashioned claw footed tub which was fun to see but difficult to access for anyone with mobility issues. There is the large shower down below the main living level that can be used if needed, but it was cold so we didn't use it. We really enjoyed the Riverwood Cottage!

What a beautiful location and great property! The river view is amazing even with all the rain. Loved the location.. quick trip to Duncan Mills for great coffee. Easy communication with the host! Definitely coming back when it’s a bit warmer!

My husband, 9-year old twin boys, and rescue pup had an incredible visit to Riverwood Cottage. We stayed for 5-nights and wished we could have extended our visit. The property was meticulously clean when we arrived, and the owner, Sangeeta was extremely communicative and made the entire check-in and stay very seamless. We greatly enjoyed spending time on the deck taking in the views, and running around in the large well-maintained yard. The property felt very private and secure, and we had no worries with the kiddos running around to explore. The river access was fun and we ended up spending a bit of time floating and swimming near the house. You couldn't beat the location with it's close proximity to the ocean, Redwoods, as well as wonderful restaurants nearby. Our kids are already asking when we can go back, as this property will definitely be in our future travel plans.

We loved our stay at Riverwood Cottage. It is a large riverfront property. The house is small but very comfortable and well-appointed. The owner was very responsive when I had a question. We especially appreciated the fireplace, view, and gorgeous dog-friendly yard. It rained a lot but we were very cozy in the house and loved watched the river rise. There is even a small store in walking distance. The oven is tricky so bring foods that are for stovetop cooking.

My wife and I stayed here for our 10 yr anniversary and it was absolutely perfect. The grounds are huge and pristine, with a little path that winds down to the river. We brought stand up paddle boards and it was relatively easy to get out out on the water. The river is calm and great for kayaking, SUPs, etc (at least in late August). The house itself is very small, but well appointed and clean. You can walk to a local market, or across the bridge and explore Monte Rio. Sangeeta was a wonderful host. Highly recommend!

My mom and I stand here for Labor Day weekend, and our first impression of the cottage was how incredibly clean it was and how it was equipped with any kitchen tool/appliance you would ever need! The area around the property was quiet and safe. Easy access to get into the river, and it was nice having a hot tub to get into when it was cold outside. Overall highly recommend staying here!

The place exceeded our expectations. It was so beautiful and the property itself was great. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all meals and we enjoyed the jacuzzi and firepit for the evenings. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great week at Riverwood. The house is spotless, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were very comfortable. It was grey and drizzling so we didn't get to spend much time enjoying the huge yard, but the hot tub on the deck was very relaxing. We will be back.

The Riverwood Cottage had everything we needed and more! The view was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and every detail well thought out. We brought our dogs who would have loved to explore the grass, but, because of the rain, were just as content as we were to sit by the fire and look out at the river. The property was also well located between Jenner and Guernville and very navigable. Sangeeta was extremely easy to communicate with and was helpful in all inquiries we had. We will definitely return!

What a beautiful property. The cottage was clean and ready to go. Sageet was very knowledgeable kind. We missed having a tv in the bedroom. The tub we could not use. We are seniors and there were no safety features at the head of the tub to balance with. The rail at the end of the tub was only good for getting in/out. The living room furniture was a little tired and not comfortable. When sitting in front of a fire comfort is essential. Bed was awesome, comfy. Couple items needing attention, kitchen sink faucet is very loose, bathroom sink has a huge crack in it.An odd mention, we were woken nightly at different times of loud knocking. We got up and walked around and found nothing. Weird. We cut the trip short by 2 days. Taking sink showers just did not do the trick. Time to head home.
What a beautiful property. The cottage was clean and ready to go. Sageet was very knowledgeable kind. We missed having a tv in the bedroom. The tub we could not use. We are seniors and there were no safety features at the head of the tub to balance with. The rail at the end of the tub was only good for getting in/out. The living room furniture was a little tired and not comfortable. When sitting in front of a fire comfort is essential. Bed was awesome, comfy. Couple items needing attention, kitchen sink faucet is very loose, bathroom sink has a huge crack in it.An odd mention, we were woken nightly at different times of loud knocking. We got up and walked around and found nothing. Weird. We cut the trip short by 2 days. Taking sink showers just did not do the trick. Time to head home.

Wonderfully large nature filled property! Kitchen is very well equipped, fireplace and hot tub were so nice to enjoy. Wifi was strong and made working remotely a breeze. The host is easy to reach and very attentive.

Beautiful property along the Russian river, with lovely views. Comfortable and well appointed, especially the kitchen. Has everything you could possibly need to prepare a meal.
