The New Farm area is an ideal base for central Brisbane, being on 2 bus routes, the 196 right outside the door, and the citicat about a 10 minute walk away. It is also close to the Brisbane River Walk which takes you into the city.The apartment is delightful. Very well appointed with 2 good sized rooms, a living room, dining room and a study off the main bedroom. The shower was excellent and all the cooking facilities more than adequate. Also a good washing machine and tumble drier under the house.I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a short or long stay in the city of Brisbane.

The property is a beautiful renovated art deco style unit/duplex. Spacious, with tropical courtyard. We loved staying here! Slept well in the comfy bed, and aircon. Close walk to restaurants and bars and shops. Convenient, clean, and comfortable.

Fabulous accommodation. Mega comfortable with everything you need for a self catering holiday. Wonderful attention to detail by the host. In a fantastic location close to shops, restaurants and transport into the city. You can also walk easily into the the city by the river. New Farm is a fantastic neighbourhood with so much to offer. The outside space at the apartment is fabulous to relax in on a night. Can’t thank Sue enough for all her help and advise to make our stay wonderful. This property is head and shoulders above anywhere else we have have ever stayed. So pleased we booked here. Hope to come back and stay soon.

From the very beginning, Sue made our booking at Aotea very easy. The property is gorgeous, clean and in a fantastic location for walking into the city. We had everything we needed for our short overnight stay, including tea bags (many different types to choose from), coffee bags and coffee pods for the machine, as well as milk and butter. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable and parking was easy too (we only had one car). If ever we stay in the city again, we will return to this beautiful property. Thank you Sue!

This property is excellent. It is located in a great inner city neighbourhood and provided everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay in Brisbane. Wonderful to be able to stay in a flat with outdoor spaces which was just like a home away from home. We will be back.

Walking distance to cafes and restaurants. As 2 couples staying, we really enjoyed our accommodation. The hosts have put love and care into this place. Highly recommend it.

Sue's beautifully-styled Art-Deco unit had everything we needed for our three-day stay. Off-street parking and attractive garden entrance added to the calm, homely feeling. The beds were comfy and the heated towel rail was a thoughtful touch. We also appreciated that there were brollies for us to use. While we didn't have time (or weather) to use the BBQ, I'm sure Sue would have those needs covered too. Our stay was too short to truly appreciate the practical and beautiful location of Sue's unit. We would happily stay there again.

Perfect spot for our weekend away. Aotea was beautiful, clean and plenty of room. Great location, we walked and used the electric scooters to get around New Farm and the City. Highly recommend.

This property is immaculately presented in a quiet but centrally located street close to the Brisbane river in New Farm. Spotleslessly clean and renovated to the highest spec. Great communication, very comfortable. The only critisism I have, is that the owners and their family live either side of this property (great if you need anything), but there were several occassions whilst we were there when they came onto the property - blowing leaves under our rental car out front - or on one occassion when our young kids decided to play outside, they came into the backyard and mowed the lawns and blowed leaves, etc. This could have waited until we were out - or done either side of our short stay. Otherwise, a great property.

This is the second time we have stayed at Aotea. Sue is a wonderful host and her accommodation is excellent. The unit is right near the waterfront bridge walk and all the shopping you will require. Walking distance to everything. A bus stop out the front too. New Farm is a lovely suburb. Can not fault this property. Really comfortable beds. Patio is lovely. All items you will need are in the house. Do not hestitate to book if you are visiting Brisbane.

Great location; we had rented a car but walked to restaurants and local shops. Sue helped book our wine tour and gave us good advice on restaurants. Fabulous breakfasts, which we devoured (nothing left over for Bonnie).

We had everything we needed for our short overnight stay, including tea bags (many different types to choose from), coffee bags and coffee pods for the machine, as well as milk and butter. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable and parking was easy too (we only had one car). If ever we stay in the city again, we will return to this beautiful property. Thank you Sue!

This is the second time we have stayed at Aotea. Sue is a wonderful host and her accommodation is excellent. The unit is right near the waterfront bridge walk and all the shopping you will require. Walking distance to everything. A bus stop out the front too. New Farm is a lovely suburb. Can not fault this property. Really comfortable beds. Patio is lovely. All items you will need are in the house. Do not hestitate to book if you are visiting Brisbane.

The New Farm area is an ideal base for central Brisbane, being on 2 bus routes, the 196 right outside the door, and the citicat about a 10 minute walk away. It is also close to the Brisbane River Walk which takes you into the city.The apartment is delightful. Very well appointed with 2 good sized rooms, a living room, dining room and a study off the main bedroom. The shower was excellent and all the cooking facilities more than adequate. Also a good washing machine and tumble drier under the house.I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a short or long stay in the city of Brisbane.

The title says it all. From the moment we opened the front door we felt like we had come home. The property is even more beautiful than the photos depict. Sue and Peter are the perfect hosts - they have thought of everything. The location could not be better. Just a short walk to the insanely gorgeous New Farm River Walk which is a fantastic way to stroll (or jog) into the CBD. Great restaurants and more importantly, coffee shops, right down the street! We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return some day!

This beautiful property was perfect for a Brisbane wedding. We stayed in the property prior to the wedding and there was plenty of space. The decor is lovely and the kitchen well appointed. A great coffee shop just down the road. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great location; we had rented a car but walked to restaurants and local shops. Sue helped book our wine tour and gave us good advice on restaurants. Fabulous breakfasts, which we devoured (nothing left over for Bonnie).

We had a lovely time at your place. Everything that we needed was there! It is very close to the Brisbane river, good access to public transport, walking distance to the New Farm shopping complex (we had a wonderful meal at the amazing New Farm Seafood), and very close to, and just opened, Thistle cafe with delicious pastries and coffees (ideal for breakfasts).On a minor note, we did not have access to iView nor SBS on demand (we normally use these streaming channels to watch the ABC and SBS at our own convenience).Just before leaving, we had a conversation with Peter during which we learned about the fascinating history of New Farm, perhaps something worth highlighting in your welcoming notes about the area..Thank you so much,Philippe and Julienne

Perfect location and exactly what we anticipated- only one issue was the incredible strong smell of the laundry - couldn’t sleep and my skin itched like razors the next day. Had to re wash all my clothes twice and still couldn’t get the crazy detergent / acid out. Must be industrial!!

Good location within 10 minutes walk of river for riverside boardwalk to city and Home Farm Park with CityCat stop and short drive to restaurants. House was very well equipped and squeaky clean. Interesting decor in old Queensland house. Highly recommended.

Location Location LocationWe are snowbirds from Canada and enjoyed a long stay at this property. Aotea is a charming house in the best location, bus at your front door, city cat a 10 min walk. You can get anywhere with ease from this location. Close to groceries, market, bottle shop, and plenty of restaurants. We also enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space, relaxing with our morning coffee and “Happy Hour” after a day out and about.Photos and description are very accurate, what you see, is what you get.Booking was easy and Sue and Peter are lovely hosts.We would highly recommend is property.
