Nous avons pris deux desserts au coin du feu (la cheminée ne tirait pas) qui se sont révélés excessivement décevants... donc trop cher. The room was air conditioned and comfy and we especially enjoyed the Pool area and the Cold Water refill machine. The staff were polite and sorted things without fuss. There is a lovely green area to sit in the evenings or have lunch in the shade. The only downside for us was the food options. It was a pretty limited menu, expensive for the portion size and there were no real lunch type options or snack options luck sandwiches. It was the same menu all day. The food was okay but we recommend venturing out into the town to eat.

Wonderful stay! Friendly staff, lovely hotel, beautiful part of Fontainbleau, close access to both forest trails and the city center. Really great value for money. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, the grounds are lovely and everyone who was staying there seemed to really just enjoy the atmosphere. Will definitely return!

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the castle and the city centre. It is in a quiet location. Reasonably priced. Rooms are large but bathrooms do not have anything but a bottle of body wash/shampoo and the shower is a health hazard because of its slippery floor with nothing to hang onto.

Chambre correcte mais hôtel qui commence à vieillir. La peinture dans les couloirs s'écaille ... ainsi que dans le salle de bains. Néanmoins, l'ensemble reste acceptable. Ce qui n'est le cas du restaurant qui est à fuir, vraiment et réellement à éviter. On m'a servi un poisson surgelé mal décongelé baignant dans un eau qui se voulait être une sauce. Même constant en échangeant avec les autres convives autour de moi.

A couple of things disappointed us. First the mattress cover under the sheet was awful and meant that you stuck to it through the sheet we have stayed in many lower star rated hotels and never had this problem and can only think it was a really poor quality item. Secondly our charcuterie board that we ordered for lunch came with butter but we weren’t offered any bread ?

Personnel super agréable et accueil très chaleureux. Chambre standard sans aucun plus, très chauffée voire trop ! Air chaud extrêmement sec, difficulté à dormir. Climatisation de la chambre non fonctionnelle : j’avais baissé la température à moins de 17 degrés et il faisait extrêmement chaud pendant la nuit. On n’a pas bien dormi au final malheureusement. Diner du soir au restau très agréable, plat copieux et délicieux. Petit déjeuner décevant et peu varié pour un hôtel 4*. Dommage !

I'm an Insead student, I've been to this hotel other times (this was definitely the last). Everything was going well until checkout. First the attendant wanted to charge me for breakfast which had already been paid for. But the worst part was the breakfast itself, or rather, the lack of it. I had a scheduled flight and all my time was timed. When breakfast was supposed to start (6:30AM), few things were ready, so I asked the attendant to reimburse me for one breakfast since I didn't eat it due to the hotel's delay, but he strongly refused.

"Demeure de campagne" est une appellation totalement galvaudée pour cet hotel qui est situé a proximité immediate de la nationale et qui ne dispose que d'un petit bout de jardin qui donne directement sur le parking. La piscine était froide et toute petite. La partie couverte (seule partie accessible en hiver) est un pédiluve. Nous avons pris deux desserts au coin du feu (la cheminée ne tirait pas) qui se sont révélés excessivement décevants... donc trop cher. Alors que nous occupions deux chambres (au même nom) le responsable s’excuse de cet impair et b-non de nous avoir réveillé ??? Manque de tact ! The room was air conditioned and comfy and we especially enjoyed the Pool area and the Cold Water refill machine. The staff were polite and sorted things without fuss. There is a lovely green area to sit in the evenings or have lunch in the shade. The only downside for us was the food options. It was a pretty limited menu, expensive for the portion size and there were no real lunch type options or snack options luck sandwiches. It was the same menu all day. The food was okay but we recommend venturing out into the town to eat.

Wonderful stay! Friendly staff, lovely hotel, beautiful part of Fontainbleau, close access to both forest trails and the city center. Really great value for money. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean, the grounds are lovely and everyone who was staying there seemed to really just enjoy the atmosphere. Will definitely return!

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the castle and the city centre. It is in a quiet location. Reasonably priced. Rooms are large but bathrooms do not have anything but a bottle of body wash/shampoo and the shower is a health hazard because of its slippery floor with nothing to hang onto.

Chambre correcte mais hôtel qui commence à vieillir. La peinture dans les couloirs s'écaille ... ainsi que dans le salle de bains. Néanmoins, l'ensemble reste acceptable. Ce qui n'est le cas du restaurant qui est à fuir, vraiment et réellement à éviter. On m'a servi un poisson surgelé mal décongelé baignant dans un eau qui se voulait être une sauce. Même constant en échangeant avec les autres convives autour de moi.

O hotel é muito bom. O café da manhã é sensacional. O único ponto de atenção é o acesso ao restaurante no jantar. Tentei jantar na primeira noite. Na sexta-feira, precisava de reserva e eu só podia sentar nas mesas de dentro. Sentei em uma mesa dentro e fui informado que não poderia sentar ali. Ai eu desisti !

This Hotel is nicely maintained and has a good attention to detail. Examples of this being the cold water dispenser in the lobby. The pool area is perfect with a good mix of shade and sun and really refreshing in the summer. The staff are fantastic and the bar serves drinks nicely. Our room was okay though in need of a few updates but we did have a basic class room. They have more modernised bathrooms in the higher class of room which could be worth the money. The bed is large and comfortable. The curtains black the room out well. One thing that is great in the room is a smart TV that actually works properly and doesn't have half its features disabled. Very nice feature when you are from abroad. My only complaint is the restaurant which I wouldn't recommend. The setting is lovely but the menu is very limited, and there is no lunch menu for cheaper lunchtime options. It's over priced and trying to serve fancier food but without the quality to back up the price. We ordered a steak which was small and not cooked to order. When I sent it back they got closer on a 2nd attempt but still didn't seem cooked to medium rare properly. The steak also didn't feel high quality to me. No simpler options like a burger or a pizza. It's not awful but feels like missed potential and I think there are better options out the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel!

We booked 3 rooms and two had no air conditioning working. Reported the fault, a man arrived, shook his head, said sorry and left. Never saw or heard of anyone again. Not bothered that it was 30 degrees in our room. Two of our three couples spend a very very uncomfortable 2 nights, one couple even had a baby with them. Nobody offered fans etc we had to eventually ask for one on the second afternoon but only the one was available for the two rooms. Would have expected some kind of apology at checkout or maybe a discount on what we thought was a very average breakfast for 19 euros each. Beautiful hotel but the discomfort stung a bit so would have to think before staying again.
We booked 3 rooms and two had no air conditioning working. Reported the fault, a man arrived, shook his head, said sorry and left. Never saw or heard of anyone again. Not bothered that it was 30 degrees in our room. Two of our three couples spend a very very uncomfortable 2 nights, one couple even had a baby with them. Nobody offered fans etc we had to eventually ask for one on the second afternoon but only the one was available for the two rooms. Would have expected some kind of apology at checkout or maybe a discount on what we thought was a very average breakfast for 19 euros each. Beautiful hotel but the discomfort stung a bit so would have to think before staying again.
