We absolutely loved our stay at Sandy Beach Villa in Rincon. The 3 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family and the surfing location was ideal. Loved that several charming restaurants, a coffee and taco shack, and a boutique were within walking distance.

This is a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy the sun. You are minutes away from various beaches and Rincon for shopping and restaurant’s.

Although the location and overall aesthetic of this home were great there were quite a few issues. The weather was fine no reason for outages but the power went out a few times. The dryer took the entire day to dry clothes and the wifi only worked 2/5 days so there was no tv and phones ran off extended network causing us an excessive bill. I contacted the host a few times and her only response was “hopefully it comes back soon”. She advertises beach amenities such as chairs and toys however they were rusted and disintegrating in a broken deck box. The toiletries provided included 1 toilet paper roll for each bathroom, 1 paper towel roll, and 2 garbage bags for a 5 night stay. Its listed as a family friendly home however there were more hazards for children than benefits. The back table and gate were falling apart with rusty nails and jagged edges. There were rat traps on the porch in reach of children with no posted warnings and the furniture was not anchored to the wall causing a nearly fatal crash of a dresser onto my toddler just from opening a draw while empty. I also mentioned this to the host with no response. On the surface it seemed clean but i woke up to a large cockroach on its back in the hallway one morning and saw 2 large city sized rats run under my husband’s chair while sitting on the porch. While the beachfront location of the home make it highly desirable there was many factors of negligence lacking maintenance and basic necessities to make it hospitable
