Hotel bellissimo nulla da dire ma spendendo 320€ di stanza più 20€ di parcheggio uno si aspetta di sfruttare tutti i servizi. La piscina era inaccessibile color verde mentre l’idromassaggio era rotto. mancanza di pulizia… Inaccettabile un servizio del genere in piena stagione estiva in un hotel a 4 stelle. Colazione mediocre. Maleducazione da parte del personale della piscina, dal momento in cui si è responsabili si lavora per renderla più pulita possibile e quindi non si perde tempo stando al telefono tutto il giorno rispondendo anche in maniera maleducata alle critiche Il peggior grand hotel in cui sono mai stata che di grande ha soltanto la struttura

Lovely property in a beautiful setting. Super close to the ferry/bus links. Lots of lovely places to eat so close by. The hotel itself has lots of lovely areas to relax, like out by the pool and the deck by the lake. Lovely balcony overlooking the lake!

This historic hotel, situated right on the lake, is just beautiful! The staff are attentive and welcoming. The facilities in the hotel are very good (the only thing was that there was no iron to use (or facilities for ironing clothes). I used and spent a lengthy time in their gym, which was really good. There are various options for dining outside of the hotel (some really good restaurants). There is a pharmacy, a few clothes and souvenir shops but that’s it (no other local shops/ mini supermarket). If you don’t have a car then it’s hard to see the area - and there’s a lot to see. Public transport is not that frequent but it is cheap. It’s quite away from the main town so if a quiet getaway from everything is what you want then this is ideal. I would return to the hotel for another amazing stay.

The hotel is very dated, but I was told they are going to have a major renovation project starting next year and going on for about 4 years. The location is lovely, front lake with a cozy pool and whirlpool. Just the interiors feels like nothing has been done since the 80s. Rooms only have central aircon which can’t be regulated, pretty weak. No smart tv, just Italian channels. Few plugs and just very old furniture. No coffee maker, no ironing board. None of the amenities hotels nowadays have. Price is not cheap, about €250 per night- I guess it’s time for a renovation!

I would say this hotel looks much better in the photos than it does in real life. This hotel should be rated more as a 2 star or 3 star at most. The hotel is tired and too big to manage well. For example, there was clear deterioration of the decor noticeable within the rooms. Also the bedding is not comfortable, and strangely no mattress protectors on the beds which hygienically is not good. The hotel itself is so big that it took about 10 minutes to walk from the room to the hotel, which made me personally feel unsafe. I wouldn’t stay here again, mainly because of the broken parts of the hotel like the swimming pool jacuzzi. I would say however, the swimming deck to swim into the lake is very good and inviting (once you get over the very discoloured sun loungers).

Lovely setting for a “grand dame” hotel. Rooms comfortable, great views from lakefront rooms, nice pool and pool bar, lovely breakfast buffet. Close to everything, next to the ferry, lots of restaurants close by. The pool bar staff are very personable, attentive, and eager to please, as are the front desk staff.

It was a last minute decision Location is absolutely beautiful, wonderful breakfast with beautiful view Parking available across the street . Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on beachfront. It is purchased by Hilton and will be closed for two years to be renovated to be a 5 start resort and spa .

Hotell med god beliggenhet i Riviera Gardone, som er en god base for å utforske flere av byene rundt Gardasjøen. Hotellet fremstår litt slitt både utvendig og innvendig og kunne trengt litt kjærlighet selv om det absolutt er rent. Med små forbedringer/detaljer kunne dette vært mye bedre, for eksempel å spyle skiltet til hotellet slik at det ikke ser skittent ut og fikse matta ute for slik at ikke logoen faller fra hverandre, bytte ut pappbeger ved bassengkanten med plastikk/ekte glass og øke serviceinnstillingen blant personalet.

Unterkunft ist leider sehr stark in die Jahre gekommen. Alles sieht sehr lieblos aus und stark verlebt. In unserem Zimmer waren die Paneele an der Decke offen, im Bad die Duschwanne stark undicht, sodass das Bad jedes Mal geflutet wurde. Das Hotel ist auch sehr hellhörig, sodass man die Spülung vom Nebenzimmer hören kann. Was uns persönlich auch gefehlt hat war eine Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer bei dem Preis, sowie ein Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett. Nach langem Anfragen an der Rezeption, wurde uns dann ein Bügeleisen ohne Bügelbrett gebracht. Das Frühstück war für unsere Verhältnisse auch nicht besonders. Es gab zwar viel, allerdings gab es hier auch Probleme wie fehlende Tassen, alles recht lieblos angerichtet. Wenig frisches und viel Wurst und bisschen langweiligen Käse.

Det er så ærgerligt at dette før så skønne hotel er ved at gå i forfald. En kapitalfond har købt stedet, som nu er total nedslidt. Det er synd for det for så smukke hotel med Europas smukkeste beliggenhed

Fantastic location vary convenient ferry links and transport around the lake. Hotel is now showing its age but kept very clean, hotel staff were very helpful. The only thing missing was in room coffee-tea making facilities which would of made mornings more enjoyable while sitting on your balcony.

Hotel is grand, shower over bath did not move so water flooded everywhere. We were told to just hold it? Views are beautiful. No facilities for tea or coffee and no glasses to use for mini bar was told to use paper cups that were in the bathroom.

The property is in a good location. The view from the room was probably the best thing about the property. The room was very nice and spacious. Only draw back is there is no coffee maker or any hot drink amenity in the room. The accommodation came with breakfast but as a solo traveler and a packed itinerary I never had time to try any of the breakfast as I was out before breakfast time which ran from 7-10am. This is why I requested a hot kettle for my room so I could make my own coffee but the staff did not accommodate saying that they were out of kettles as they already provided other rooms with them. So a little disappointing. Also there was a leak in the shower so everyday I had to clean the bathroom floor as it would get flooded with water. I pointed this out to the staff and even showed a video of the the issue. He only apologized and did nothing else.

Living the dream with a lake view balcony room at the grand Gardone Riviera Hotel. Everything I always wanted. Being able to also slip into the lake for a swim straight from the sunloungers also a bonus! Breakfast was amazing, we couldn’t stop eating! Loved the whole experience and will definitely visit again!

Klassisches Grandhotel in erstklassiger Lage. Geräumige komfortable Zimmer mit Balkon mit Blick direkt zum See, die zum verweilen einluden- hier wäre ein Wasserkocher für die Tee-Auszeit wünschenswert gewesen. Trotz der Lage des Hotels direkt an der Hauptstraße war vom Autoverkehr im Zimmer und in den gemeinschaftlichen Räumen, Restaurant, Salon oder Bar nichts davon zu vernehmen. Große Auswahl beim Frühstück, direkt am See, sehr freundliches zuvorkommendes Personal (bis auf eine Dame, die jeden Morgen sehr lustlos und träge erschien). Qualitativ und quantitativ sehr gut besetzte Rezeption, dass nie irgendeine Wartezeit entstand.

The hotel is very dated, but I was told they are going to have a major renovation project starting next year and going on for about 4 years. The location is lovely, front lake with a cozy pool and whirlpool. Just the interiors feels like nothing has been done since the 80s. Rooms only have central aircon which can’t be regulated, pretty weak. No smart tv, just Italian channels. Few plugs and just very old furniture. No coffee maker, no ironing board. None of the amenities hotels nowadays have. Price is not cheap, about €250 per night- I guess it’s time for a renovation!

It's a lovely old hotel. The staff is excellent and the location is really nice. My room was clean and comfortable and seemed recently updated. The property itself needs renovation and updating, but it's beautiful.

The property is in a good location. The view from the room was probably the best thing about the property. The room was very nice and spacious. Only draw back is there is no coffee maker or any hot drink amenity in the room. The accommodation came with breakfast but as a solo traveler and a packed itinerary I never had time to try any of the breakfast as I was out before breakfast time which ran from 7-10am. This is why I requested a hot kettle for my room so I could make my own coffee but the staff did not accommodate saying that they were out of kettles as they already provided other rooms with them. So a little disappointing. Also there was a leak in the shower so everyday I had to clean the bathroom floor as it would get flooded with water. I pointed this out to the staff and even showed a video of the the issue. He only apologized and did nothing else.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is certainly grand- it’s well maintained and in a great location. The staff are exceeding only kind and accommodating. Mirko was a consummate bartender who regaled us with the history of the hotel, including fascinating anecdotes about Sir Winston and Clementine Churchill’s connection to the hotel. I definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Lake Garda!

Beliggenheden er det bedste ved dette hotel, men tilstanden er desværre nedadgående efter nye ejere er kommet til. Det samme er servicen. Meget ærgerligt. Men anbefaler alligevel hotellet pga. beliggenhed som er perfekt.

Lovely setting for a “grand dame” hotel. Rooms comfortable, great views from lakefront rooms, nice pool and pool bar, lovely breakfast buffet. Close to everything, next to the ferry, lots of restaurants close by. The pool bar staff are very personable, attentive, and eager to please, as are the front desk staff.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are large, especially in comparison to other room sizes in Italian hotels. The staff are so attentive and kind. Breakfast was wonderful over looking the lake, with lots of options and lactose free options. Excellent restaurants and cafes near by. Lovely local shops and extremely safe, quiet and the perfect holiday location. I didn’t want to leave!

Lovely property in a beautiful setting. Super close to the ferry/bus links. Lots of lovely places to eat so close by. The hotel itself has lots of lovely areas to relax, like out by the pool and the deck by the lake. Lovely balcony overlooking the lake!

Superbe hôtel un peu désuet à souhait, au bord du lac, grande chambre, petit déjeuner au bord du lac, la piscine était la mais l’eau du lac était délicieuse… personnels vraiment agréable et très gentil L’accès au bateau est à 30 mètres de l’hôtel, et le quartier est agréable, avec bar restaurant et shopping Nous avions réservé 3 nuits et nous sommes restés une nuit en plus … Que dire de plus … superbe séjour

It was a last minute decision Location is absolutely beautiful, wonderful breakfast with beautiful view Parking available across the street . Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on beachfront. It is purchased by Hilton and will be closed for two years to be renovated to be a 5 start resort and spa .

Das Grand Hotel stammt noch aus einer anderen Zeit. Riesig, lange Flure, direkt am See liegend. Das Ambiente von früher ist spürbar. Das Hotel ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Und ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass es ohne Investor nicht langfristig zu unterhalten plus finanzierbar ist. Für Alle, die dieses spezielle Ambiente des 20 Jahrhunderts noch erleben wollen, ist es ein absoluter Tipp. Da kann man dann damit leben, dass es nur einen Lift gibt und man sich in den langen Fluren fast verlieren kann. Am besten mit Frühstück direkt am See. Kurz: Unbedingt geniessen, solange man das noch kann!

Hotel bellissimo nulla da dire ma spendendo 320€ di stanza più 20€ di parcheggio uno si aspetta di sfruttare tutti i servizi. La piscina era inaccessibile color verde mentre l’idromassaggio era rotto. mancanza di pulizia… Inaccettabile un servizio del genere in piena stagione estiva in un hotel a 4 stelle. Colazione mediocre. Maleducazione da parte del personale della piscina, dal momento in cui si è responsabili si lavora per renderla più pulita possibile e quindi non si perde tempo stando al telefono tutto il giorno rispondendo anche in maniera maleducata alle critiche Il peggior grand hotel in cui sono mai stata che di grande ha soltanto la struttura

I saw the Grand Hotel Gardone on a ferry boat stop on a cruise of Lake Garda two years ago and I vowed to stay here one day! It exceeded my expectations and was the perfect 3-night stay for rest and relaxation. The room was lovely and the lake view was stunning! The breakfast buffet was exceptional - one of the best of anywhere I have stayed before. It was abundant, generous, and nutritiously overflowing with Mediterranean options. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and gracious. My only disappointment was not to have a paino player in the lounge. With the lovely piano begging to be played, that would have added to the atmosphere, tremendously, and I would have lingered in the bar enjoying that music!

Beautiful hotel and our superior room with lake view was stunning. However, the hotel lacked in dining options and was expecting spa facilities and there were none. There was no atmosphere in the piano bar and not welcoming so we ate out every night.

A truly beautiful area great restaurants in the area not many shops but those available are great. Breakfast buffet is out of the world. Beds are comfortable and rooms are of good size. Will definitely stay again.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The rooms are large, especially in comparison to other room sizes in Italian hotels. The staff are so attentive and kind. Breakfast was wonderful over looking the lake, with lots of options and lactose free options. Excellent restaurants and cafes near by. Lovely local shops and extremely safe, quiet and the perfect holiday location. I didn’t want to leave!

Absolutely amazing hotel, full of Italian charm. The room looked directly out onto the lake and had everything you would need. Spectacular view. We decided to have dinner there and that was a brilliant experience, service was exceptional, wine was great and the food.......... We had a table literally right next to the Lake. We went as we'd seen this hotel last year and a business colleague stayed there late June and found out they are closing for a full refurb in October which will take at least 2 to 3 years, so we took the opportunity before it shut. Hopefully, they'll keep the character and charm that is evident throughout.

Das Grand Hotel stammt noch aus einer anderen Zeit. Riesig, lange Flure, direkt am See liegend. Das Ambiente von früher ist spürbar. Das Hotel ist ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Und ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass es ohne Investor nicht langfristig zu unterhalten plus finanzierbar ist. Für Alle, die dieses spezielle Ambiente des 20 Jahrhunderts noch erleben wollen, ist es ein absoluter Tipp. Da kann man dann damit leben, dass es nur einen Lift gibt und man sich in den langen Fluren fast verlieren kann. Am besten mit Frühstück direkt am See. Kurz: Unbedingt geniessen, solange man das noch kann!

Hotel is grand, shower over bath did not move so water flooded everywhere. We were told to just hold it? Views are beautiful. No facilities for tea or coffee and no glasses to use for mini bar was told to use paper cups that were in the bathroom.
