The house could not be more charming. The inviting flower gardens make you feel immediately at home Cheryl the owner is welcoming and friendly. The interior is a well th thought out array of antiques to match the period of the home. Dont miss this gem especially if you're taking the ferry to and from Newfoundland

Most amazing breakfast it will be the best on our vacation I’m sure. Cheryl was a wonderful host, we had an excellent sleep. Great proximity to the Newfoundland ferry and free parking. I’m a gardener so I loved her garden as well. The fresh cut Lily of the Valley in our bathroom smelled amazing.

We had an overnight stay here after we got off the ferry from Newfoundland and before we picked up our rental car - and we wished we’d had longer. Really a lovely guest house - our room was large and comfortable with its own balcony (both outside and inside) and bathroom all of which worked well. A very comfy bed. Mainly we loved the quirkiness and character of the place, Cheryl’s friendliness and helpfulness and the big very tasty breakfast. If we’d had longer we would also have been able to enjoy the tranquility of the garden. Thank you for being so helpful to us during our stay.

This B&B is so impressive! Very easy to find with on site parking. Chambers Guest House is a beautiful victorian home with antiques galore! All of the rooms bring you back to a simpler time. The bedrooms,with their own baths, are beautiful, spotless, quiet, and comfortable! Coming down for breakfast we found an elegantly set table,using the china that Cheryl has collected over many years. We were "wowed"by the variety of food that she had made. (she even makes her own maple syrup). Just Beautiful! Cheryl, we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Thank you for the great restaurant recommendation, the peak into your kitchen, and our wonderful trip back in time!

The building itself is beautiful; a historic building that is fully decorated in line with its era. The grounds are stunning with beautiful gardens. The room we stayed in was spacious and included a mini fridge. The hostess, Cheryl, is warm, helpful, and prepares a phenomenal, home prepared breakfast, served on beautiful dishes. Guests can sit out on the deck, in the gardens, or in the living room. There is parking on site as well

We had a very relaxing stay in our fabulous room in this charming old house. We had our own private deck overlooking a garden as well as a sun room where we could eat, read, or work. Very comfortable space, thoughtful touches everywhere, excellent host. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a perfect suite with a balcony and a little sitting room. The house is beautifully appointed with so many precious decor items making it jaw dropping beautiful. Cherly clearly has a talent for decorating and shopping. I usually wipe down everything in a room before we start unpacking but I really didn't feel the need to do that there. Everything is so clean and fresh. The breakfast was amazing, Cherly is an excellent cook. What a wonderful place to stay! Thank you, Cherly.

We truly enjoyed our one night stay at Chambers. Clean and large room with adjoining bathroom. Personalized service from Cheryl. Unforgettable breakfast composed of several local products. Victorian atmosphere of a house built in 1880. It is like a museum, full of artefacts. Very enjoyable.

A great experience. Our Hostess very accommodating, Nice balance between being friendly but not smothering. Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, clean clean clean. Comfortable bed. Linens had the most lovely fragrance. A must stay.

Staying at the Chamber’s B&B was a treat. It was wonderful in every respect. The room was very clean with all the amenities needed there. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and my dietary needs were accommodated. You won’t be disappointed staying at Chambers B&B.

Beautiful historic home in great location. The owner is friendly and helpful. Our suite was lovely. Bed was super comfortable. Our only disappointment was that there was no ensuite. There was a bathroom (for our use only) right outside the suite. There were no bathrobes provided and we do not carry them while vacationing. We would not have booked this guest home had we realized that. The breakfasts were fantastic. There was no leaving the table hungry. I don’t usually care for sausage but Cheryl served the most delicious I have ever eaten. Overall, wonderful stay.

The property is magnificent. Breakfast was delicious - way too much food but delicious nonetheless. Our room was a bit awkward because the bathroom was outside the bedroom. It worked okay as the other people staying on our floor stayed in their room

Chambers BB is a beautiful place, delightfully decorated with antiques. Our room was adorable including a bedroom and sitting area, as well as a private bathroom. The breakfast was delicious with multiple courses including fruit, homemade berry pancakes, local maple syrup, warm croissants, homemade jam, fresh tomatoes, warm egg strata, orange juice, and tea/coffee. The hostess accommodated dietary preferences and made everything fresh. It was served on a beautiful table with collectible glassware and china. This location is a real gem with a kind, helpful hostess. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, it's well over 100 years old, and full of antiques. Our king room took us back to the early 1900's. We had a lovely sun room and a private deck. The breakfast was great, complimented by homemade bread and pancakes, while having delightful conversations with other visiting travelers.

This is a beautiful property. The host could not be nicer and helpful and she maintains a wonderful bed and breakfast. Even though we could not stay for breakfast, she took the time to give us a to go lunch which was unexpected and extremely thoughtful. Would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.

Favorite lodging of the nine or ten on our 3 week trip! Cheryl Chambers goes beyond to be accommodating, welcoming and informative. Large space-our room was about 25’ long, with bed at one end and Tv+ 2 wing chairs at the other, enclosed dining area, & balcony deck overlooking her gardens. She provides wine, nuts and candy in the entry foyer, and has tea & coffees in the room. Refrig just outside our door to share with the other room across the hall. Amazing breakfast, served on lovely linens and china in a side dining area away from her other 4 guests (my husband is immune-compromised so we dont normally dine indoors.) Pear and cinnamon whole wheat pancakes, eggs baked in cups made of thinly sliced honey smoked ham, fruit cup with crème fresh and coconut topping, garden tomatoes with balsamic and basil, freshly baked bread. Wow! Highly recommend. And her rates would be acceptable even if 50% higher.

Amazing breakfast, served on lovely linens and china in a side dining area away from her other 4 guests (my husband is immune-compromised so we dont normally dine indoors.) Pear and cinnamon whole wheat pancakes, eggs baked in cups made of thinly sliced honey smoked ham, fruit cup with crème fresh and coconut topping, garden tomatoes with balsamic and basil, freshly baked bread. Wow! Highly recommend. And her rates would be acceptable even if 50% higher.

Absolutely perfect stay. Great service by the host, great communication, great breakfast, accommodated our gluten free diet, everything was above and beyond. What a beautiful place! This is the one you always think you’re going to get- Victorian luxury, lovely host, just perfect!

Cheryl is the ultimate hostess. She catered to my food allergies and put out the most amazing breakfast. The room and the house were beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Of all of the places we stayed on our 8 day tour of Nova Scotia this was the best by a landslide. If we ever return to North Sydney we will certainly stay here again. If you find yourself in North Sydney you should stay here too.

We had an overnight stay here after we got off the ferry from Newfoundland and before we picked up our rental car - and we wished we’d had longer. Really a lovely guest house - our room was large and comfortable with its own balcony (both outside and inside) and bathroom all of which worked well. A very comfy bed. Mainly we loved the quirkiness and character of the place, Cheryl’s friendliness and helpfulness and the big very tasty breakfast. If we’d had longer we would also have been able to enjoy the tranquility of the garden. Thank you for being so helpful to us during our stay.

Le matin, elle sert un déjeuner royal dans sa plus belle porcelaine. Nous recommandons chaudement le lieu!

Very nice stay! Cheryl was great and communicated well! The place is very well maintained and a gorgeous place to stay in North Sydney! Close to the Ferry and walkable to restaurants. Breakfast was GREAT! Would stay here again.

Most amazing breakfast it will be the best on our vacation I’m sure. Cheryl was a wonderful host, we had an excellent sleep. Great proximity to the Newfoundland ferry and free parking. I’m a gardener so I loved her garden as well. The fresh cut Lily of the Valley in our bathroom smelled amazing.

This is a fantastic B&B. The house is over 140 yrs old and an amazingly place to stay. We stayed there overnight before catching the ferry to NF. We are staying there when we return, and cant wait. Our breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day of sailing.

This 145 year old home is a labour of love.. Cheryl goes above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible! The Victorian decor is beautiful! The cottage garden is lovely and inviting. There is so much attention to detail creating an enchanting experience. Our accommodation was so clean! And it's just a few minutes from the ferry to Newfoundland. I strongly recommend staying here and we will if we are lucky enough to be in this area again!

What a treasure. This property shows off the best of Sydney-our host was genuine and friendly and accommodated our last minute requests with the kind of generosity that can only be found on Cape Breton Island. There are absolutely charming restaurants in walking distance- highly recommend Bettie’s. Excellent stay. Highly recommend!

Incredible stay, we were thrilled from the minute we pulled in the yard and saw the beautiful gardens! And our host Cheryl was amazing, she just couldn’t do enough for us! Her attention to detail, all the little things is what stood out for me. Then, I just have to rave about the breakfast! What a culinary surprise that was!! So let me finish with this: I have stayed at many B & B’s over the years, this one just may well be the finest!!

If you get a chance, this is the perfect place to stay. What a beautiful B&B. Cheryl is a perfect host and made an astonishing breakfast in the morning. The interior in itself is quite amazing. Did I mention the fresh, homemade, not packaged food?

The property is magnificent. Breakfast was delicious - way too much food but delicious nonetheless. Our room was a bit awkward because the bathroom was outside the bedroom. It worked okay as the other people staying on our floor stayed in their room

Chambers BB is a beautiful place, delightfully decorated with antiques. Our room was adorable including a bedroom and sitting area, as well as a private bathroom. The breakfast was delicious with multiple courses including fruit, homemade berry pancakes, local maple syrup, warm croissants, homemade jam, fresh tomatoes, warm egg strata, orange juice, and tea/coffee. The hostess accommodated dietary preferences and made everything fresh. It was served on a beautiful table with collectible glassware and china. Cheryl was very welcoming and her B&B is amazing!! Our room which included a separate living area and private bathroom was spotless and furnished with everything you'd need to be comfortable. The breakfast was equally superb with not only fine china but delicious homemade dishes of eggs, waffles, jams and coffee. We highly recommend this B&B and will definitely return.

Cheryl’s place is amazing! A very short distance to the ferry, her place offers a wonderful stay. Beautifully set up with gorgeous decorations. And she cooks up 4 course breakfast that will knock your socks off 😋. I highly recommend this place.

Cheryl was very friendly and helpful. We arrived on the ferry that docked in North Sydney at 6:00pm and after quickly showing us around the beautiful & historic property she made a fantastic recommendation for dinner that was a quick 10 minute walk away. The room was spacious and bright, with a large ensuite, a sunroom with a Keurig, and a balcony with chairs and a table overlooking a lush flowering garden. Breakfast was a spectacular experience; we started with fresh coffee, homemade yogurt and granola, freshly picked berries, homemade brown bread and strawberry rhubarb jam, egg frittata, pancakes with fresh rhubarb, and maple syrup directly from the tree! It was outstanding!
