Hilton Garden Inn Tewksbury Andover

The hotel and the room was really nice and fully equipped. We did a late night swim in the pool one night and had it to ourselves. We even had dinner at the hotel another night and the food was SUPER good!! I also appreciate the water bottle fill up station off the lobby. Plus it is in a lovely, quiet area with lots of green and there’s a good mix of local and chain eateries nearby to choose from! There were just a couple downsides/mishaps: 1a. If you are looking to get a King bed i would suggest booking directly through the Hilton website because there is miscommunication between hotels.com and hilton and hotels.com had the wrong count of available rooms, so they oversold the King rooms to a bunch of people. We found this out after we got to our room and saw it was a double queen and then talked to a staff member at the check in desk. We were not able to upgrade our room. 1b. AND because we ended up in the wrong room, our room was next to the elevators so i heard people coming and going at all hours of the night/morning so i didn’t get a lot of sleep. 2. Maybe it was because it was a week night, but the “restaurant” was low staffed. There was ONE person running the bar AND taking/running food orders. It wasn’t their fault, they were doing the best they could given the circumstances, but it wasn’t fair to them. There should be more staff on no matter the day of the week. Despite the issues we had, we still enjoyed ourselves and i would try staying here again.

I had the accessibility room. The refrigerator didn’t work , the blinds wouldn't go down. As soon as I sat on the bed I felt the springs on my backside. The other half of the bed was hard as a brick. My room was changed , because of the blinds and same situation they would go down. It was so late I didn’t want to call again or bother switching to another room, so I had to manually pull the blinds down by twisting them in & looping them to go down. My first time at a Hilton & It’s nit gtg e experience I expected at all. Beautiful lobby rooms are underwhelming & beds need upgrades fux the blinds. I got the worst sleep ever!! None!!

Parking was easy, staff were friendly, it was a good experience.

This is usually my go-to hotel for my stays, which made this stay a little disappointing. I must have received an older room because it smelled like a basement. The air was very musty and humid, and the bedding smelled like basement also. The bathroom shower had old hair strands stuck to the walls as if it hadn't been cleaned for a while. The central air/heat was also not working. I had to go down to the front desk the next morning to let them know. I was literally only there to sleep and shower, as I was there for my daughters graduation, but I was still disappointed because I paid over $600 for 2 rooms. Definitely not cheap, so I would expect better from them.
