For the price we paid we were a bit dissapointed with our stay. We arrive to a smelly pint of milk in a fridge that was turned off. The cottage generally smelt a bit of damp and there were lots of cobwebs, an alarm also kept going off which we couldn't locate. On the plus side its in a pretty village with lots of nice dog walks. The local pub is 'interesting!'

Comfortable bed. Nothing wrong with the property, but lots of irritations that spoilt my stay:• the curtains in bedroom are very thin so I was woken at dawn every day• the window in the bathroom is plain glass facing the road, so showering means drawing the shade and putting the light on• the stair bannister is very wobbly• the markings on washing machine were worn and hard to read• there's a smell of damp at the top of the stairs• the stair treads are very shallow so I had to turn my feet sideways• the bath was slow to drain• the toilet flush was temperamental although I did always manage to get it to workOverall very disappointing. I left a day early to go back home.

My only complaint would be about the kitchen layout - the sink is directly below a wall cupboard, therefore quite difficult to actually do the washing up! But this is a minor issue. It’s perfectly situated with Bourton on the Water, Broadway and Stow in the Wold all nearby. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a wonderful log burner, fully equipped kitchen and comfy bed. Lovely pub just 1 minute away.
