Redcastle Hotel

Lovely relaxing stay in Redcastle Hotel, food was great though very limited menu chouce in the dinning room. I really enjoyed the sauna, pool etc though it would have been good if hotel residents had of been provided with dressing gowns. Would default stay here again

No pro shop for golf.

Hotel was lovely, super location, the pool was so nice, breakfast was lovely too and lots of options, the spa was top class, Olivia was so good

It is the nicest hotel i ever stayed at. Staff very friendly. The pool is beautiful the stone wall was mesmerising. Pity some things didnt work jets in pool. Pool staff friendly.

The room was okay. Pool was missing tiles in places. . Food in bar wasn't good. A big let down. As it's a expensive hotel. For the price they would need to get there act together. There was red carpet out for a wedding. It was a joke. Manager should be ashamed as it was dirty and large wrinkles it it. A trip hazard Very disappointed

The jets in the pool/jacuzzi section where fantastic great for your back. The food and the breakfasf with the view over lough foyle as the sun rose was a great extra also.

Enjoyed our stay over a busy saturday. The staff from check in to check out and rhe var/restaurant staff were fab. Dinner, daiquiris and brekkie was beaut. Room was clean and comfy but very very warm even with the window open and radiator turned off. Only thing we didnt care for was changing facilities for the pool/spa. The only private area was the toilet cubicles which were saturdated and no hooks to hold our clothes. Would be handy if guests were allowed to change in their room as robes are provided. Would defo stay again.

Fantastic location. Attentive staff. Good food and drink options. The balcony rooms are special. Amazing spaces with stunning views of Lough Foyle. Spa was very good also with a good range of treatments very much enjoyed by my other half.

Nice stay. Hotel is a bit dated, needs modernised in areas. Hotel bar was busy , took a while to be seated and served. Again a bit dated and the use of space not utilised very well with tables / chairs etc. Pool area was very good, friendly staff and clean. Beautiful views from the breakfast room, again lovely staff and food was good.

Lovely property on the Inishowen Peninusla . Lovely views. Stayed in room 602. The bed was very uncomfortable. Matress dreadful, needs to be replaced. Suffered back pain after first night. Also the golf course was poorly maintained. Overall was very disappointing.

The rooms are very dated, we paid extra for an ocean view but the windows were full of bugs and too dirty for a clear view. We killed spiders in the bathroom and couldn’t open the windows because of all the small flying bugs. We did enjoy the area…..it was beautiful! The hotel could use some upgrades.

Stayed for one night the staff are amazing and go out of their way to help you wherever they can The food is good and the pool great. Our room was lovely,clean comfortable and quiet

Hotel was busy, weddings both days we were there. We still had great customer service from the restaurant and the bar. Room was great and very clean.

Room was great size and very clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My main complaint was that the glasses at breakfast were tiny which was quite inconvenient that i had to refill every time i needed a drink. Overall great price for what you get.

Rooms are very dated and we had huge cobwebs hanging down from the ceiling. Room layout was poor, with a heavy table and chairs which blocked the window and access to 1 side of the bed. Hotel is in need of updating and redorating, it has a very masculine feel with large dark furniture and metal tables, crazy mismatching carpets.

A great stay in lovely surroundings. Staff were professional and friendly. Rooms were clean and lovely breakfast views. Good selection at the buffet breakfast. Rooms were nice but doors in need of a repaint. The bathroom was clean and shower good with plenty of toiletries. Overall a good one night stay as part of a wedding party.

It was really good until the last night. A group of girls were singing and Danicing from 1.20-5.30 and then again at 7am. We told the night porter about it but he didn’t really help and when we mentioned it to staff when checking out he laughed and just said sorry about that.

Beautiful setting on the coastline. The twin room was spacious however with only a small window, it definitely needed a centre light/more lighting. Bathroom was a good size, however, access to the in-bath shower was awkward. Given there was a wedding on, the room was quiet and cosy. A full length mirror is a requirement in any hotel room. Beds very comfy.

Room was large and spacious. Mattress was old and uncomfortable. No A/C so windows had to be open but truck traffic early in the morning by all windows on north side of the building. Charges for every little thing including pool towels and lattes for breakfast. Not worth the nightly rate.

Friendly helpful and courteous staff stood out most. Very important in hospitality! Room was warm and cosy with nice decor and we loved the ocean view. Excellent standard of food.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming upon check-in. A few minor issues but they were handled efficiently.

Had we known the experience that was about to befall us before checking in an hour early, we wouldn't have bothered. We weren't given a check-out time and had read online it was midday. Turns out, it was 11:00. When we got to our room we found the temperature to be that of the faulty reactors at Chernobyl. I can only assume they had left the heating on for about a decade to get it that hot. We had to leave the window open as a storm blew in just to cool down. I have never been to prison, but I can only assume the showers they have aren't actually allowed to be as bad as the shower in the room. A 4* hotel this is not. We were advised to go to the restaurant, rather than the grill for dinner. We took up our table and were then ignored, with several other tables around us (who arrived after us) getting water for their table and their drinks order taken. We waited for around 15 minutes before deciding, frankly, it wasn't worth the time. A similar thing happened at breakfast the following morning. So, we went to the grill, all was well until dessert, when the waitress asked "what is this?" when handing us our desserts. We also ordered and orange juice and lemonade, which came in two separate glasses. That just about sums it up. The pool water is tepid, there was no water in the bucket for the sauna and they had no time to complete both treatments my partner had booked in the spa. There was no malice, but it's clear there is a huge training gap for most of the staff.

I couldn’t access my room on free will as the room keys weren’t working so I had to be assisted to my room which frankly for the price I paid was a joke, having to pay €273 for a room I can’t access isn’t ideal and I’m truly surprised the staff weren’t able to help in anyway

I paid £300 cash and my husband paid £69 on his card for a 2 night stay then the hotel proceeded to take the £369 out of my husband's account meaning we paid twice very very disappointed😞 and out of pocket twice I booked another night through yourself, and my husband paid the amount on his card and the hotel proceeded to take the amount out again from my account meaning we paid twice AGAIN, VERY VERY ANGRY. wont be back

The extractor in our bathroom didn’t work so we were moved to another (better) room without any fuss. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food in both the Captain’s Bar and The Edge restaurant was excellent. I would have no problem recommending this hotel.

Hotel was busy, weddings both days we were there. We still had great customer service from the restaurant and the bar. Room was great and very clean.

Our room was great. Coffee machine included which was really appreciated n served excellent coffee. Lovely spa treatment and dinner in the evening was fabulous…fine dining at its best. Great nights sleep and again a fabulous breakfast at a table by the window. Great view

Fantastic hotel and surrounding areas. Facilities were top notch, food was beautiful and staff were extremely welcoming and kind. Will definitely make a return in the near future and recommend to others as the perfect weekend getaway.
