Interesting experience! Great location and value for Central Bath - both the room and parking. Would have given more stars except for these niggles: Tried to book parking in advance and as other reviews say got nowhere… On arrival we were early for check-in but called the mobile number provided at the hotel, arranged parking and room key so all ok (we thought…) , then a slight hiccup getting in at end of our evening but was quickly sorted when I messaged and was sent a very helpful video! (note: would have been good to have had this on arrival!) Would book again 👍

I paid £214 for 1 night at this place for that price you would expect a bit of luxury but there wasn’t much of that! Room average and my partner became locked in the bathroom as the handle didn’t open from the inside! We were awake for large parts of the night as whoever was sleeping in the floor above, you could hear every creek of the floorboards and beds!!! Breakfast wasn’t available, although the host did tell us this!! Expect to pay an extra £17 for parking behind the address! In all fairness, the directions off the host were great, he was very helpful! It was a small walk away from the Christmas market which is great! Wouldn’t expect to pay more than £100 per room for this place though and that’s purely because of its location!!!

We stayed there and toured all day. Location is phenomenal to walk to town. Check-in not the best. Called to let know we’d arrive late. Oyo service desk answers. They tried calling the property multiple times without an answer. Then he says there’s no parking there and it’s self check in which I don’t have any info on how to check in. I’m told to just go and see! Well that’s comforting!! We arrive. There’s a # to call on the door. Well what if you don’t have cell service and only have data??? Rang video doorbell and called the #. Delivery guy came and some guests opened the door and said it took 45 min for them to get a call back. Luckily the owner called back then. He gave me instructions. I went to the twin room which smelled fishy so stayed in the double room which was fine. It was clean, but very small. Bed was comfy but it was hot (August). There was a fan and a very high window. Breakfast was stale muffins and some cereal and yogurt. Luckily there was apple and pear trees in the back. Also there is 2 spaces if you call ahead to reserve which he charges 15 for. Car park is a better deal!

Parking was easy to find, used the large main car park just behind the hotel, was not free but the hotel does state you have to pay, easy check in with a simple call, the place is a bit dated with the decor but it's a old building anyway, the room has everything you need and is clean, breakfast was OK and self service with a small but good selection on offer, great position in bath easy to walk into town.

Good location for the royal crescent and Bath centre . Couldn’t get in touch with the hotel to book parking , called and called and no reply so booked a space but it was a mile walk from the hotel.Not ideal . Hotel overall was fine.

He was so kind and explained in detail how to get to the car park and recommendations around Bath. The room was clean and comfortable. You can hear people walking around but that’s to be expected in an old home.

The Doubletree hotel is clean and comfortable, with convenient nearby parking (though no preferential rate). Its central location in Bath makes sightseeing easy. The staff are helpful and friendly, and check-in is straightforward. Breakfast offers good options. Family rooms only offer a king-size bed and a sofa bed, which isn’t ideal for teens of different sexes—it would be better if two single beds were available.

No reception. No secure parking as advertised. Uncomfortable bed. Shabby appearance to whole building. Would not recommend.

We had read that the correspondence between the hotel was terrible and that is absolutely correct. The hotel was clean and tidy. There was no control for the TV and when we had on several occasions beforehand tried to arrange for parking we finally got a response to say all.sorted and in fact the hotel said that wasnt the case although i still have the txt on my phone. I even gave the hotel an email to complain rather than give a review but guess what NO REPLY!!

Overall stay was pleasant, stayed in room 4. Bedroom on the smaller size with en suite bathroom with towels provided and a small shower gel and shampoo. Water for shower was nice and warm. Bed was very comfortable with clean bedding had a good night sleep. Check in was good but different to the usual as you phone to check in and was texted over a file with instructions which was nice and helpful. Would definitely stay again due to the convenient location to the city centre, good car park with option of 24hr parking and longer using an app helped make this easier and less stressful. The property does have parking available but due to limited spaces I thought this would be easier.

Dog poop under our window made the entire area stink. Windows were washed while we were there but nothing was done to address the feces.

Photos online are very deceiving for what the breakfast and rooms are like. Time for check out said 10:30 on our reservation email. At 10:00 we received a knock on the door saying it was 10 and we were supposed to be out! Door was difficult to get into. Had to call the number on the door to which you you couldn’t hear the person speaking. Lock on room door was very loose and easily pushed open at anytime. Linens were nice and clean. Bathroom was not in best shape and water pressure was lacking. Breakfast was some bread and butter, apples, milk and juice that I couldn’t tell how long they had been sitting as juice was separated. Look elsewhere………

Poor customer service. No staff on site our entire stay. Was very dirty and run down property. Breakfast was a joke. Once again. No staff. Just notes left. To put dishes on shelf. Good looked very old and we didn’t partake. Room was very hot. I did message the number on door and was promised a fan would be dropped off. It wasn’t. I sweated all night. Very noisy street. Mattress was extremely uncomfortable. You can feel all springs. Would have slept on floor but it was too smelly. Our door didn’t even have a handle to open it. Was very difficult to open with the lock switch. Glad there wasn’t an emergency. DO NOT Recommend at all!!!

Our room was Very clean, linen was very comfortable. Great location with a bus stop out the front of the property and only a 10 min walk into the heart of bath. Lots of food choices. The only down fall being one roll of toilet paper for 3 guests on a two day, two night stay.

Only one key for a twin room. My friend couldn’t leave her bag 30 mins before check in time. No one around to help. Mould in the shower It definitely wasn’t worth the money we paid.

Never been to such a terrible place. Phone number on door to check in. Directed round the back through a very small alley with paint peeling off gate to what I could only describe as a converted flat roof garage. Broken light hanging off wall. Looks completely rundown, rubbish & old carpets, overgrown weeds to welcome us. Two rooms which were dirty and in need of total renovation or better still demolishing Walls marked & dirty, gouges on walls, window blinds broke, one didn’t even pull down to bottom of window as not long enough. Cobwebs and dirty. Knobs missing on drawers. Chipped mugs, out of date milk. Bathroom absolutely appalling, we would not even use the shower. Dirty and full of hair (see photos) Mastic around shower base filthy. The toilet wall (well bit of plasterboard making a bathroom area) could only get one foot in front. When going out in evening saw a couple who were trying to check in and she screamed OMG ! A RAT has just run through next door garden. I am not surprised at all …….. Breakfast - We did not even go, had looked through the window and looked grim. Spoke to 3 other guests (separate bookings) when leaving, they were at least staying in the main house, but from what they said they were not impressed either. I am surprised that they are on the Hotels.com site as I have booked many rooms through you and normally totally satisfied The photos on the site do not reflect the true definition of this run down place. I WOULD STAY CLEAR !

Clean bedding. Small room and bathroom. Rickety bedsise tables, lamps didn't work. Toilet lid wouldn't stay up. TV wouldn't work. Only 2 teabags and 2 coffee sachets. Many post it notes on office/storeroom door with instructions. Phone number often not answered, no staff on site.

Property was not as seen in the picture,booked for our 30th wedding anniversary and it was a big dissapointment.Health hazards, inside and outside of house,no refill on facilities in the room or at Breakfast bar. No housekeeping in rooms. No staff,just a brief encounter with a girl. Over priced for what it was and this was a"Faulty Towers "hotel without staff. Poor communication with owner. Will be reporting this under trades description act.

I was given no entry code, so when we arrived, the sign on the door said to call a phone number which rang to an answering machine. We were standing in the rain for over 10 minutes in desperation when we rang a camera bell and someone finally helped us. We were told we were in room 11, we walked up 3 flights to find the rooms ended at #10. I walked back down to the front to ring the door camera again and was told instead our room was #10. The room was VERY small, no soap or shampoo, the mattress fell though the bed frame from a lose slat and the floor creaked so loudly that the downstairs guest came upstairs to pound on our door at midnight to complain about us walking around!! The room was stuffy and hot and had only 2 overhead windows. The location was convenient, but our room was really disappointing.

The hotel is close to the city center . Self check in ; no one on the premise . Heater not working and it was cold in the room. Overall ok for a one night stay .

The staff were excellent, great communication and the check-in process was smooth. You are given your room key and a code for the front door, which is great. A fairly good location, around a 15-20 walk from Bath Spa station. Ideal for my trip to see a band at The Forum. A basic self-service breakfast is included. However the room itself was a little shabby and needs updating. It did not quite meet my expectations as per the photos on the website. Personally I would be reasonably happy to stay again, but I wouldn’t take my wife there.

Really great location and pleasant enough room. Very hot day and there was little air flow. The electric fan in the room did not make a difference. Facilities all good, clean and tidy. Was overcharged from original booking and have still not received a refund.

Close to town,nice b&b but a really small room,(double one),easy to go on and out as it's a self check-in/ check out, as i didn't meet any staff around, Tv didn't work...no remote in the room .and the continental breakfast was so poor..just few tired bits. We were expecting at least a good coffe ..but no,nothings.

We arrived and waited over an hour and nobody was there to let us in. We spent over a half hour on hold on phone and never got to speak with them to let us in. We had to book a different hotel and still waiting for refund because we couldn’t check in or stay there. Do not book here!

Problems finding key holder to allow access, then found previous occupant was still in the room so had to go away and return later. Then had to wait again to get into office where we’d had to leave our bags. Staff very nice though.

when had trouble with door code pressed door bell voice answered he wanted me to phone him, tel number on door,could not hear what he was saying because of loud traffic noise untill he shouted "JUST RING THE F***ING NUMBER" . cleaner was very helpfull and rooms were clean but had many faults eg shody bath panel, loose loo seat ,shower holder falling apart no bath plug ,generally shabby.

Very conveniently located and walkable to so many things to see in Bath. We liked how quiet the area was.

Nice enough hotel for the centre of Bath, Room Ok but although there was a kettle there was no , tea, coffee, milk etc,no host at all keycode to get in , had to phone a number and they gave you entrance code, Breakfast was basic , but enough, but definitely not a continental brsakfast, OK for a 1 night stay , not sure about any longer

I didn’t like the no staff service provided. The place was noisy as you could hear people in other rooms and on the stairs. Smallest TV ever made, with no coax or remote. The pillows were super thin. The shower had no pressure and the hot water was either cold or scolding in the sink. It advertised parking but has none. And toast and cornflakes is not what I would expect from a B&B that you have already paid for breakfast.
