Parking was available at all times I loved it

We had a nice room and it was clean, comfortable and quiet and convenient. The staff was helpful in providing a first floor room at the last minute, and we enjoyed the little downtown. The only concern is the entry inside the front street entrance has severely buckling floor. There are safety cones there, but that's not a fix. We're elderly and tripping and getting hurt wouldn't be surprising and is likely inevitable. I think it should have been fixed long ago. Fix it, please!!

I was in San Juan Bautista for a family gathering. The room was large and spacious, very well maintained. The sheets and bed were clean and comfortable. There was no microwave in the room making it hard to warm food purchased from grocery store (suggested on the notice at breakfast area), though I was able to use the microwave in the breakfast area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was set up well and instructions on where things were located made it a pleasant experience. I will definitely stay there again when I return.

The hotel is centrally located for all the sites in town so you can walk to everything and basically equally distant to Santa Cruz or Monterey depending on where you'd like to go. The rooms are clean, the service was good and parking was safe and well-lit.

Clean, quiet, good breakfast choices. Eduardo and crew operate a very nice place and are very friendly. Just one suggestion, install a microwave oven in each room...

This is an older family-owned hotel. It is historical and interesting. I liked that it was within walking distance of everything - especially the Mission. The rooms are massive, but, there are no coffee machines. And there was no decaf coffee at the continental breakfast. The rooms have a combination jacuzzi tub, shower. The tub walls are VERY high making it dangerous to get in and out of when you are old. The soaps they offer are inexpensive and made my hair frizz. There are stairs leading to the lobby and they were painting or something so there were drop cloths on the stairs and a blower into the lobby. I felt unsafe trying to get my luggage up and down the stairs. Bottom line, if you are prone to falls or handicapped in any way, this hotel is a challenge. On the flip side, everyone was friendly, there was plenty of free parking, the hotel was quiet, interesting and walkable.

No internet, bathroom garbage was full on check in, nightstand was dirty, no elevator, no luggage cart, ice machine is down a dark hallway in a maintanence area, room refrigerator not cold, a gas fireplace pilot light with a flame 3 inches tall that was noisy and made the room hot and could not be turned off. But the worst part is that there was an adjoining room, and the guests talked loudly late in the night and a small child was loud as well. I called the front desk at 10:45 pm who told me to give them 15 min to quiet down. This was a bizarre request, but I did it. 15 min later, I called again, and she agreed to call the guests. After that, the adults were quiet. However, the child was still making noise. At midnight, I called the desk again, but no one answered. I guess they had the luxury of getting some sleep. I tried turning on the air conditioner, and thankfully it was loud enough to drown out the child. I paid to sleep there, and they were not especially concerned about the fact that I couldn't. They could have offered a different room or went to the room to make ure it was quiet, but they didn't. I will stay in Hollister in the future.

The room needs to be updated. But, it was clean. The tub was nice & location was great!

Very disappointing in several areas. I was pleased with the look of the hotel when we arrived, but found the room was not as pictured. They made arrangements for us and it was late, so I was happy. Then I saw lots of hair in the soaker, jet tub and the roll away had very unappealing stains on it. We had to get a handcloth wet and wash it - it was very dirty. When we were putting it in place the small table must have been repaired with glue - as the legs were glued to the carpet and it could not be moved. The biggest item was the rooms have no internet and I did not care for how it was handled. They know which rooms do not have internet or should and they should be honest about it. They were not. I called to get the WiFi password and gave my room #. They gave me the password like it was going to work. It did not, when I called back they told me they had known issues with the internet not working in "certain" rooms. I book hotels with wi-fi because I work remotely and must have internet. I asked to be changed to a room with wi-fi and was told I would have to sit in the hall or in the lobby. I work all night and do so in bed, in my jammies when on vacation with my kids. I am not sitting in the hall! They did not apologize or offer a discount though I had asked. They clearly know there is no wi-fi in the rooms but falsely advertise it does. That and the hairs in the tub were deal breakers for me. I would not stay here again. Breakfast blah too.

We stay here every Christmas season for the town events. Nicest and cleanest hotel.

Sticky floor. Dirty tub. Dirty/stained shower curtain. No hangers for clothing. Worn out bedding. Strange, unpleasant smells.

Great location in downtown San Juan Bautista. Cleanliness needs some work but overall great stay.

Beautiful interior. It's also the cleaest place I've ever stayed. The room had a fireplace and a jacuzzi as well. Beautiful woodwork throughout the place. Can't say enough about our stay there.

Great room with fireplace and jetted bath… especially appreciated after hiking at Pinnacles National Park. Suggest grab bars for easy entry and exit from bath/shower.

The hotel is located in the Historic District. It was completely built by family and the grandfather of the current owner. He takes pride in the hotel and makes sure his guests are There are so many special touches throughout the hotel and our room has a balcony looking out at the rolling hills of San Juan Bautista as well as a fireplace. Very clean and comfortable

The perfume in the hallway was too strong. We had no internet connection in our room. The room I requested was not the room I was given.

Can't beat the location! Great breakfast options and the rooms are huge. Jacuzzi tub was a nice perk too. Definitely coming back!!!

We booked a room with a balcony and a jetted tub. The tub was awesome with a set of dual shower heads (even if we couldn't see a way to turn only one on). The balcony looked out at a wall of the building next door. There is a rear entrance to 3rd street that makes going to dinner or shopping easier

Eddie, the guy who runs the property, is fantastic. He's very friendly and provides great advice. We loved learning about how his grandfather built the Posada and getting his recommendations for places to eat, etc. We're looking forward to visiting again!

Check-in was NOT accommodating in the least. We really needed to check in a little early to get ready for an event and that was a big heck no. So weird. If a room is ready,which it was, let people check in. Or let us pay to check in early. Termites were in the bathroom on the floor and one was crawling on my leg. Ugh. The AC was not on when we got there and it was HOT as heck. The building has zero AC in the public areas, Only in the individual rooms. So you’d think staff would have turned it on for us prior to check in. The rating for this is “exceptional “ which it IS FAR FROM. It’s cool old building but that’s about it.

Mary & Edwardo were so friendly and helpful. We were there for a family funeral and their kindness made a difficult visit extra special. We loved the property and location. Such a special place and you can feel the love they have for their family owned property. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay! Our room was CLEAN and was big enough for my wife and I, as well as large enough for our near-2 year old son to run around in. We enjoyed our patio and big tub/shower! Also, the continental breakfast was fantastic!!! Fresh make-your-own waffles (with different flavored batters), instant oatmeal, hot coffee and water, hot cocoa packets and tea bags, and individually wrapped pastries (Hostess donettes, danishes, cinnamon rolls, etc.), juices, water, and fresh fruit were all available! The staff, both day & night, were very pleasant, professional, and available for any of our needs! The location was perfect for our trip, as we were in town to attend a family wedding. The drive was not too far away for a day in Monterey where we took our son to the aquarium (MUST VISIT!) and had a late lunch. Also, just out the back entry is the main road/street to the little downtown area and a block/block-and-a-half away from the mission! We will definitely stay here again!

Very nice lodging with a personal owner "welcome". AFamily owned business that shows the extra touch of love and care. We will come back.

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with Posada De San Juan. It is a really nice place to stay. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. Eduardo, who checked us in, was so nice! We arrived at the onset of a big storm to celebrate our 30th anniversary. (I wish we could\'ve planned for better weather to enjoy the town more, but that\'s OK. We had the town and hotel practically to ourselves.) During check-in, Eduardo and I started talking and he asked about our reason for staying, I mentioned our anniversary. He ended up upgrading our room and making sure the fireplace in the room was on to greet us. That was very sweet!! Even without the upgrade, we found Posada to be clean, perfectly located within walking distance to everything and very friendly. The king bed was comfortable too! The weather didn\'t allow for us to enjoy the courtyard, but we plan on returning again another time when we can stay a little longer without the rain. We highly recommend this hotel! (A little side note... we enjoyed the continental breakfast; however, the "make-your-own waffles" were rubbery and flavorless. That was the only thing we didn\'t like. With all the other offerings, we could\'ve skipped the waffles and still had a nice little breakfast.)

We stayed here while visiting Pinnacles National Park. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast was good. We stayed on a Tuesday, so not many restaurant choices in the town for dinner. Would definitely stay here again.

Gorgeous boutique hotel in a historic small town. We were attending a wedding at a local venue, and had an infant in tow. This hotel was perfect for our family to supplement a wedding that weekend. The front desk kindly allowed me to revise my reservation at check-in (I thought a balcony would be romantic) so that we could have the more practical first floor. We felt comfortable walking the neighborhood even at night.

Located one street off San Juan's historical "Main Street" (3rd street), it's an easy walk to visit the shops and eateries, as well as the Mission square.

Property and staff were great! It’s a shame that the surrounding merchants open so late and close so early.

Very cute and quaint. Close to shops and anywhere on the Central Coast. Lots to do while you stay around town, everything is walking distance. Then, 30 mins to Monterey, Carmel, Santa Cruz, San Jose for other experiences. This little town often has arts and craft fairs. The best local dive bar is 3 doors down.

Beautiful and charming property in the heart of San Juan. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and it's quiet. The breakfast is generous, and the coffee very nice. I highly recommend the hotel for a weekend escape.

I cannot say enough good things about Posada De San Juan. San Juan Bautista is such a magic small town with more California history than almost any other site. Posada De San Juan places the traveler right in the middle of the historic district, yet in a very classy, yet humble Inn. The period architecture adds to the experience. Perfect!

Specifically for the room I stayed in, had patches on the wall and was very uninviting. No artwork on the walls so it felt bare. The building is beautiful and easy to walk to local restaurants. There was nobody at the front desk in the morning. Breakfast was good.

We only spent 1 night but the room was lovely and very comfy. The continental breakfast was amazing. I was expecting the average cheesy breakfast. The coffee was hot and delicious. The food selection exceeded our expectations.

The heater is a bit noisy and the bed seemed uncomfortable as I didn’t sleep well. It’s a beautiful building and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Breakfast included hard boiled eggs and waffles as well as the usual yogurt and fruit. The coffee was good. It’s right next to an awesome BBQ restaurant.

Not much to look at from the outside; the inside is far better. Clean room, very comfortable bed. The continental breakfast buffet is nothing exceptional. I would stay here again.

Great place for a one night stay. Clean, friendly, and right next to a great Japanese place for dinner. Breakfast in the lobby had waffle maker, love those things. Would stay there again
