Soo friendly, outlined all the best food and drink spots, breakfast was amazing + they even made use a takeaway breakfast due to our early train on our 2nd day. Location is great, 100% best hotel of our trip. Things to highlight: Room was spotless Property is exactly as the photos show Sorted laundry for us on the same day Offered is a complementary pick up from the train station Forgot some belongings and they followed to give them to us before we got on the train(so so kind)

Super cute layout; rooms instagramable staff help arrange driver for excursions he was kind and offered ice cold water afterwards, we were so thankful for that. Overall a we had best location for seeing everything. Bike rentals and breakfast was available.

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel qui est légèrement reculé par rapport à la rue principale ce qui lui permet d’être plus au calme. Les chambres sont très biens avec notamment une belle hauteur et une belle décoration ce qui donne beaucoup de charme ! L’établissement dispose de vélos pour se balader dans la ville ou aux alentours, une bonne partie des lieux et sites à visiter se font facilement à vélo !

Best spot to stay in Tam Coc! We stayed here for 4 nights at room 223 . The location is just on the outskirts of “downtown” quiet and peaceful, but walking distance (5-10min) to anything in town. We were able to rent motorbikes for the days here for such an affordable price. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, and the hot water and water pressure were fantastic. I saw negative reviews about bugs, but they seemed to solve that problem as well didn’t have any. The view alone should sway anyone yes to stay here. It’s a mom and pop type of business , the owner and staff were super helpful and nice!

We had a wonderful stay at Little Tam Coc. Don’t judge this place by the room rate. We felt it was worth more than what we paid. We were treated like family. The rooms were spacious and the bedding was clean and warm. Check in was quick and easy. We were asked what we wanted to eat for breakfast, Vietnamese or Western breakfast. We chose Vietnamese and they were made and served fresh. They were delicious!! They offer bicycles and motorbikes to drive into and around town. The property is located 5 minutes walk from the touristy food and market scene. Far enough to get some peace if you need it but close enough to where all the action is. It is a family run business run by the SWEETEST people. I’ve read some critiques about the old-fashion locks on the doors of the rooms, but personally we felt that they added charm to the place. It may be challenging for some to accept but it reflects the culture and safety of the area. We were a family of 5 and had been to Tam Coc a few years previous. We did not stay here but wished we did. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area of Ninh Binh. We will definitely return to Little Tam Coc when we have a chance.

We thoroughly recommend the Little Tam Coc - huge room, wonderful big bed, great service (breakfast was amazing!) and great value. The staff were amazing when we rocked up at 4.30 in the morning (we’d booked for the night before which we think is fair!). Laundry & airport transfer - nothing was too much. Thank you

Cute space with a feeling of a tropical oasis. Very quiet and lovely decoration. Bed was comfortable and large, outdoor balcony was appreciated with views towards the little river. Staff were friendly and helpful - arranging laundry and drivers for us. Very quick walk to center of town but good restaurants just next door if needed. Walkable to some of the main sights too. Thank you!

We had a great time at Little Tam Coc Homestay. "Ha" was a fantastic host and so friendly. She is always so happy and helpful with everything you need. Very convenient for booking her scooters, bikes, and transportation options. Thank you again for a wonderful stay in the Tam Coc area. We had so much fun there.

Loved our stay at Little TamCoc. Such a quaint home stay. Well decorated, clean. Breakfast options simple and delicious. The staff (Ha) and the owner (Xuân), were very helpful with transportation and advice. So quiet but yet close to many dining options snd stores. Would stay there again. Try the restaurant 2 doors down (Chezloan). Food a drinks there were delicious and atmosphere and staff were excellent.

El hotel está ubicado en una zona tranquila pero no lejos de centro de Tam Coc. Las instalaciones y la habitación estaban en perfecto estado. Prestan bicis gratuitas lo cual se agradece. Lo único negativo, es que nos duchamos 3 veces (hicimos early check in + noche + late check out) y en ningun momento nos cambiaron la toallas. Ademas en el ultimo momento nos quedamos sin papel higienico. Quizas deberian mejorar el servicio.

What a gem of a find. The room was very comfortable, with a lovely veranda. Bathroom was clean - water pressure strong and there is hot water. Away from the busy town area of Tam Coc but walking distance. The area around is peaceful. Staff were very helpful, kind and chatty. I would stay here again. There is a good local restaurant just right next door as well.

The hospitality of the host was unmatched! She was very helpful and friendly and spoke good English. She was very accommodating in letting us have a late check out as our flight was late at night, even helping us book transportation back to the airport. The complimentary bikes allowed us to explore the surrounding area (Kang Mua hike, Trang-An, Pagodas). The breakfast and fruits provided were delicious and much appreciated. The location had amazing views of the mountains and was far enough from the town to be quiet but close enough to be easily accessible (3-5 min bike, 10-15 min walk). Our first room on the ground floor was infested with mosquitos due to a hole in the window but the hosts generously gave us a new room that was bug-free. The room was generally clean but a little dusty. Overall I have enjoyed by stay here in Little Tam Coc!

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hébergement 2 nuits et c’était vraiment parfait. Il est situé à une distance accessible à vélo de toutes les attractions touristiques. Des vélos étaient à notre disposition, nous n’avons donc pas eu besoin de payer pour des tours, car tout était à proximité. Le staff est aimable et super serviable. La vue depuis la chambre est juste incroyable. Nous étions au premier étage, mais payer un extra pour être au 2e étage vaut vraiment le coup. Les chambres sont très belles dans leur déco, textures, etc. Tout est travaillé soigneusement. Nous y retournerons c’est certain !

What a gem of a find. The room was very comfortable, with a lovely veranda. Bathroom was clean - water pressure strong and there is hot water. Away from the busy town area of Tam Coc but walking distance. The area around is peaceful. Staff were very helpful, kind and chatty. I would stay here again. There is a good local restaurant just right next door as well.

This is a beautiful property backed against the mountain. Our room was very spacious with a beautiful terrace looking at the mountain. The stone and wood accents in the room gave a natural feel. It was roomy and had a delightful balcony for my morning coffee. The shower was fantastic and much appreciated after full days in the heat. Our host was very helpful when our limo arrived and left without us.

We thoroughly recommend the Little Tam Coc - huge room, wonderful big bed, great service (breakfast was amazing!) and great value. The staff were amazing when we rocked up at 4.30 in the morning (we’d booked for the night before which we think is fair!). Laundry & airport transfer - nothing was too much. Thank you

We were disappointed in our stay here. The room we were given (“Family Triple Room, Garden View”) did not match the website’s description or photos. We asked if we could switch to another room but the only vacant option had not been cleaned. Our room lacked a balcony and separate seating area as included in the description. The bathroom was gross with only a rudimentary handheld shower that didn’t match the photos. The “soundproofing” was non existent, you could hear conversations from nearby bars in restaurants until late at night. This place has more of a home stay vibe than an actual hotel. The host was very friendly but communication was difficult. We had friends stay in a different hotel nearby for the same price but had much nicer accommodations. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place and especially not our room type.

The staff (Ha) and the owner (Xuân), were very helpful with transportation and advice. So quiet but yet close to many dining options snd stores. Would stay there again. Try the restaurant 2 doors down (Chezloan). Food a drinks there were delicious and atmosphere and staff were excellent.

The location was amazing with lots of cool places to visit. We were offered transportation to our next location in Cat Ba by the staff which was cool but there may have been a little fib about how we would get there. We were promised a private car and got a bus instead. We still made it safe, but not what was communicated. Other than that, the staff was really nice and accommodating and the place was safe and convenient.

Soo friendly, outlined all the best food and drink spots, breakfast was amazing + they even made use a takeaway breakfast due to our early train on our 2nd day. Location is great, 100% best hotel of our trip. Things to highlight: Room was spotless Property is exactly as the photos show Sorted laundry for us on the same day Offered is a complementary pick up from the train station Forgot some belongings and they followed to give them to us before we got on the train(so so kind)

Unfortunately we happened to be in Tam Coc when the typhoon hit, although that was an experience in itself. However, the owner was absolutely brilliant and is such a lovely lady, nothing is too much trouble. Tam Coc is absolutely lovely, as is the hotel. Because we were only there for three nights and two of those were affected by the typhoon we are definitely going to go back to experience Tam Coc and when we do we will make sure we stay here. It's in a lovely spot by the river and is only a 10 minute walk to the main street although having said that there are some really nice restaurants very close by. We will have absolutely no hesitation in returning back here, it is an absolute gem of a hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Little Tam Coc. Don’t judge this place by the room rate. We felt it was worth more than what we paid. We were treated like family. The rooms were spacious and the bedding was clean and warm. Check in was quick and easy. We were asked what we wanted to eat for breakfast, Vietnamese or Western breakfast. We chose Vietnamese and they were made and served fresh. They were delicious!! They offer bicycles and motorbikes to drive into and around town. An excellent choice for beautiful mountain views with balcony. It’s only a five minute or less walk to downtown which gives the the peace and tranquility that you want in Tam Coc, while still having high quality restaurants and services nearby. The staff are so kind and helpful from the daytime to nighttime staff. We will recommend to friends and family traveling to this area. Thank you again for the great experience…. Definitely worth the money. Nice place that is a little bit out of the way but very easy to travel with a scooter. Bicycles and scooters could be rented at the property at a good price. Room was clean and staff were friendly. Perfect for families.

Des vélos étaient à notre disposition, nous n’avons donc pas eu besoin de payer pour des tours, car tout était à proximité. Le staff est aimable et super serviable. La vue depuis la chambre est juste incroyable. Nous étions au premier étage, mais payer un extra pour être au 2e étage vaut vraiment le coup. Les chambres sont très belles dans leur déco, textures, etc. Tout est travaillé soigneusement. Nous y retournerons c’est certain !

Best spot to stay in Tam Coc! We stayed here for 4 nights at room 223 . The location is just on the outskirts of “downtown” quiet and peaceful, but walking distance (5-10min) to anything in town. We were able to rent motorbikes for the days here for such an affordable price. The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean, and the hot water and water pressure were fantastic. I saw negative reviews about bugs, but they seemed to solve that problem as well didn’t have any. The view alone should sway anyone yes to stay here. It’s a mom and pop type of business , the owner and staff were super helpful and nice!

Cute space with a feeling of a tropical oasis. Very quiet and lovely decoration. Bed was comfortable and large, outdoor balcony was appreciated with views towards the little river. Staff were friendly and helpful - arranging laundry and drivers for us. Very quick walk to center of town but good restaurants just next door if needed. Walkable to some of the main sights too. Lovely stay! Really close to all the restaurants in Tam Coc while giving us a feeling of being quite remote. Rented bikes and scooters from the hotel which made our trip super special. Ha also arranged the most delicious breakfast for the day we had to check out early. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole team were really friendly!

We did not stay here but wished we did. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area of Ninh Binh. We will definitely return to Little Tam Coc when we have a chance.

We thoroughly recommend the Little Tam Coc - huge room, wonderful big bed, great service (breakfast was amazing!) and great value. The staff were amazing when we rocked up at 4.30 in the morning (we’d booked for the night before which we think is fair!). Laundry & airport transfer - nothing was too much. Thank you

Ha and the rest of the staff on the property were all so nice! She made us the most amazing breakfast every morning with delicious fresh fruit! The guesthouse was about a 5 minute walk into the busier part of town. We stayed 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay! Really close to all the restaurants in Tam Coc while giving us a feeling of being quite remote. Rented bikes and scooters from the hotel which made our trip super special. Ha also arranged the most delicious breakfast for the day we had to check out early. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole team were really friendly!

Slitent hotell som bærer preg av at det ikke er gjort mye vedlikehold. Var ikke varmtvann på badet. Regnet gjennom taket på rom og bad, samt at det kom vann inn gjennom inngangsdøren til rommet. Hjelpsomme ansatte - vi fikk blant annet mulighet til å dusje en annen plass siden vi ikke hadde varmt vann på rommet.

Highly recommend! Location is perfect — it is not in the busy center which often has traffic/difficult for Grab pick up but the hotel is still walking distance to everything! There’s a route to the center which avoids the busy streets. The restaurants around were delicious. Free bicycles were perfect for bike rides. Breakfast had many options from simple toast and eggs to Vietnamese foods; the plate of fruits were fantastic. Air conditioning worked great especially during the unbearable summer heat. Shower water pressure was great. Room fit nicely for three people. Would stay here again!

The vibe is like you are staying at and Airbnb living with the host. The pros: accurate photos of the bedrooms. Nice view of the river and mountains. Free bike loans. Friendly small business owner. Cons: Lacking the facilities as written in the description. As of June 2026, active construction site next door and noisy businesses next door. I regret not researching other hotels as it was obvious that I could have gotten better value nearby.
