Sheraton Kuching Hotel

I was very disappointed with my stay at Marriott Penang, particularly with the air-conditioning problem and the hotel’s response. When I set the air conditioner to Auto at 25°C, the room temperature dropped to around 20°C, making the room extremely cold. It felt like a refrigerator, and I could hardly sleep because of the cold. I reported the problem to the front desk several times and asked for it to be repaired. However, I was told to manually turn the air conditioner on and off myself to control the temperature. Despite repeated requests, the problem was not properly resolved during my stay. For a Marriott hotel, I expected much better maintenance and, more importantly, a more professional response when a guest reports a problem that seriously affects sleep and comfort. The hotel itself may have good facilities, but this experience greatly affected my overall impression of the stay. I hope the hotel will improve both its room maintenance and the way guest complaints are handled. 今回のMarriott Penangでの滞在は、特にエアコンの不具合とホテル側の対応について非常に残念でした。 エアコンを25℃のAutoに設定しても、室温が20℃程度まで下がってしまい、部屋はまるで冷蔵庫のような寒さでした。夜も寒くて十分に眠ることができませんでした。 フロントには何度も状況を伝え、修理をお願いしましたが、「自分でエアコンを手動でON/OFFして温度を調整してほしい」と言われました。滞在中に何度も対応をお願いしたにもかかわらず、結局きちんと解決されませんでした。 Marriottブランドのホテルであれば、客室設備のメンテナンスはもちろん、睡眠や快適性に直接影響する問題を宿泊客から指摘された際には、もっと適切でプロフェッショナルな対応を期待します。 ホテル自体には良い設備もあると思いますが、今回の対応によって滞在全体の印象が大きく損なわれました。今後、客室設備の管理と宿泊客からの苦情への対応が改善されることを願います。

This was a pleasant surprise. A well kept facility with modern elements in the room. The only issue was the AC not truly cooling the room.
