The pool could only be accessed through the lobby even though there were doors where your room passkeys should have worked. Also laundry looked to use only coins ($3.00) yet no bill changing machine.

Very nice Inn. Very up to date with tech. Pool coming soon. Overall very nice place to stay.

Hidden Gem in Elkins!! We stayed at the Luxor Inn & Suites for an anniversary weekend 4/20-4/22.. wonderful stay! The room was spotless.. I am nit-picky about hotel rooms therefore, I inspect them prior to bringing our luggage in- having been in the Hospitality Business, i have high expectations… Luxor NAILED it! Absolutely spotless! The bed was comfy (memory foam hybrid mattress), linens clean and soft, nice thick towels & higher end toiletries. They have completely renovated this property. No nasty carpet, the floors are vinyl plank and were clean, i was able to walk around barefoot most of the evenings & my feet were still clean prior to bed ( they also provide the cutest monogramed slippers). The only downfall of the weekend truly wasn’t the property’s fault but corporate’s. The fabulous indoor pool was not open yet although the corporate website stated it was as of 4-1-24, if that is a deal breaker for you, please contact the property itself prior to booking to avoid any disappointment. Other than that one little glitch, i could not have had a better weekend! Chelsey, at the front desk gave us some dining suggestions, Scottie’s for breakfast, indeed! Check-In was a breeze and they accommodated my late check out request. We will definitely be returning in June for another weekend celebration ( we love the area.. so much to do!).

Great stay. Seems to be recently updated. Very comfortable beds and super clean. Will definitely stay again on my next trip To Elkins. Lady at check in was super friendly, locked keys in the room got a new key with no problem. Pool was nice and clean.

All the rooms are new. They are comparable to a new room at a Hampton Inn or something similar that was also new. They are adding an indoor pool and hotub which should be nice. Staff is friendly.

The Luxor Inn and Suites was an impressive overachiever for a modest establishment in a remote location. The room overlooked a wide open parking lot that bore some late-night-arrival noise, but overall, this was a pleasant stay that I might repeat for my return trip.

This place was such a delight. The desk attendant was very nice and friendly. We saw that it was animal friendly as well. Nice pool area. Spacious parking area. Everything was very clean inside and out. Already making plans to stay again.

Such a great stay this week. The room was nicely renovated. The bed was comfortable and the rain head shower was magnificent! The staff were so friendly and made check in/out so easy. We enjoyed the pool that was very refreshing for the hot day. We will stay here again when visiting!

This is a newly remodeled hotel. It was very nice and clean. My only complaint is I booked this specific hotel for the pool. When we checked in I asked where the pool was located and was told that the pool still isn't open yet from the renovations. I was very disappointed!

Front door handle didn’t work well and had to almost kick in the door. The bathroom door handle trapped you inside the bathroom, needed to be opened from the outside. Mold in the bathroom near the shower. Could hear every step the people above us took amongst other activities. Ever staying here again

I've never stayed in a cleaner hotel. Beautiful spacious room with no carpeting. The walls are a bit thin, we could hear a baby crying in the next room, but overall the stay was great.

Staff and other families staying we are great. The shower was dirty and you could hear everything in the room which made it hrs to sleep. Still a good last minute trip, but I wouldn’t trust the ratings system provided by Hotels.com

Overnight customer service needs to be courtesy and professional with dealing with customer concerns. Rooms needs to sprayed for bugs, comforter had stains but Room had great potential.Outside of Rooms very plain but nice inside if corrected small details

The hotel was recently renovated and was very nice. The room was beautiful. Unfortunately there were some issues. I am so used to going to hotels that have a hair dryer in the room that I left mine at home and they had one hair dryer that had to be shared by whoever left theirs at home. I never did get a hair dryer the entire time I was there. Also the coffee pot was horrible, every cup left me with tons of grounds in my cup.

Check in was very easy. Went to our room to make sure everything looked okay. Was puzzled?Why there was no light above the sink but other than that, the stay was good.

The room wound up being acceptable so we stayed the one night we booked but were unaware that the older property was undergoing extensive renovations when we booked. I think the property will be fine once the reno is done and all construction crews and mess gone. Didn't use the pool area but it appeared to be neat and clean. The room itself was clean and somewhat freshly renovated. The ceiling of our room has had some water damage previously, the bathroom was designed (I guess) for wheelchair so odd - no shelf space but nice big new sink. Sadly installer left cracked mirror above it. (The mirror is a touch light surface and from the faucet upwards near the touch circle was a long crack. Just pointing out since newly reno'd) Shower is the smallest walk-in I've ever experienced and shower head attached to a plastic holder that kept falling/slipping apart so no way to contain spray or move around within curtain. However, the floors are new faux wood tiles throughout, nice touch and easy cleaning I guess. It was clean, just had old hotel room feels amid some nice new things. Bed was average comfort, slept OK. TV reception about what to be expected in rural WV...not an issue for us. The worst part was the initial drive up seeing the strip motel side of the property completely torn up for reno and workers in and out. When we went to dinner, we had to walk through cloud of cigarette smoke from girl on stairwell, one above on balcony and the manager outside the laundry room beside us

The room was nice, but the windows do not keep any outside noise out. The outside siding is hanging off and looks terrible. The rooms appear to have fresh paint and the bathrooms were fine, but the caulk should have been redone. They are in the process of finishing the property, so hopefully they replace the old wood frame windows. The hvac also needs updating. They work fine but are older and very loud.

The remodel is absolutely beautiful, beds are ok, the shower never got hot just warm enough to shower.

We always stay here when we go to Elkins. The staff(Chelsie) always knows us and welcomes us. They always make sure we get the type of room we request!

It was very nice even though they were remodeling the entire place. Staff was super friendly and helpfull. Only thing o had an issue with was that the man in housekeeping came in room 2 times within 30 mins and we were in towels. They knocked and then emmediatly opened door so we didnt even have time to respond. We only had a 1 night stay and check out was by 11 and ot was only 10 and maybe 1020 when they came in room, so i think they should make housekeeping knock than wait at least 30 seconds possibly knock again and open door slightly and say housekeeping again before just coming in swinging door wide open since our bathroom sink was in the room outside of bathroom right near door. I will say the 2nd time they came in i did go back out in hallway and the supervisor of housekeepimg did come running and kept apologizing because i was highly upset and yelling when i came out of room. Other than the housekeeping issue the place was super cute, roomy and everyone was super sweet.

This property is the only place I will stay at when working in Elkins. I recommend everyone come stay here. Rooms are always extremely clean and the staff are top notch!

We had an amazing stay at the Luxor! Centrally located to many attractions and great restaurants. Gas was $2.85/gal.!! The hotel has undergone a complete renovation and the results are absolutely beautiful. True attention paid to the smallest detail to add pleasure to your stay. Devin at the front desk was amazing! He went over and above to see to our every need!

The management and the staff were helpful, friendly, and professional. We visit WV frequently and we will be back.

Property still being remodeled, but that didn't affect our room. Room was Clean, and Comfortable. No breakfast as listed in the Expedia description. Was charged by both Expedia, as I pre-paid for the room, and unfortunately charged more than once at two different rates by the property instead of marking my stay as pre-paid through Expedia. I also verified with the staff that is wasn't just the incidental charge authorization and it is an additional room charge due to check in complications. Was told I needed to wait 3-5 working days however I would think it could happen sooner considering ever other charge they applied to verify my card was active fell off as expected. We will see if the charges get corrected or if I have to file with my bank as a fraudulent and/or duplicate charge.

This is an old Motel that is being renovated into an upscale property. There was a rain shower head, an incredible LED mirror, a wireless phone charger. However, at check-in, I was required to sign off on at least 5 warnings regarding possible infractions that I would have to pay for. That felt a little extreme, nigardly and unwelcoming. However, when we found a minimum amount of towels in our room and I went to the desk to ask for two more hand towels since I had mopped up a coffee spill with the only hand towel there, I was told there was one hand towel allotted per room .also, if the towel was stained I would be charged for it. Of course I had washed out the coffee immediately and simply needed 2 clean and dry hand towels, which they gave me, after I mentioned that I read reviews and I also write reviews. The desk clerk was snippy. My other issue was with the bedding. The bed was provided with a top sheet and then a very heavy comforter and duvet. The top sheet was not enough to keep warm, and the duvet was so terribly heavy that the air conditioning would have been running all night to stay cool enough to use it. I wish they had provided the option of a light blanket, because I did not sleep well.

The hotel was great. Not a fan of being interrogated at check in because I live local. They weren’t even going to give me the room that I payed for in advance. Oddest experience I’ve ever had checking into a hotel. The overnight desk person Anthony was awesome! The evening person, not so much. She was quite rude.

The pool in front looked awful, couldn't tell if was being worked on or just left to rot. There was a cute Diner within walking distance, did feel safe, rooms were clean enough, just had a disappointment in the pool.

We were looking for a place to overnight while sightseeing in WV and the Luxor Inn and Suites was perfect! It's about an hour from Seneca Rocks and one hour from Blackwater Falls park; the rooms are recently upgraded, huge TV, very comfortable beds, very practical and modern bathroom, and pet friendly! It's in the outskirts of Elkins, so it's pretty quiet, but in 5 minutes by car you have access to restaurants and shopping alike. Staff was amazingly courteous and very helpful. Would stay here again if we're in the area!

The property needs to install their signs. I drove by it twice and parked in a section that was not open. BUT for the price it was very nice. Furnishings are new and higher end i was impressed. Will stay again

Hotel is being remodeled. Our room was nice. We overlooked the parking lot. No room service for 2 night stay. No breakfast due to remodeling. Ice machine was in the office so you to ask for ice. Was worried about the location. I won’t go back.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I expected it to be very basic, based on the price. However, I found it to have some nice touches--modern, stylish decor; a pool, free snacks in the lobby. The staff was VERY polite and helpful. The only hiccup was the staff skipped my room on the scheduled cleaning day. (Wyndham has instituted a "only in Wednesdays" cleaning policy for stays longer than 3 nights. It was an honest mistake, and I didn't care, but it did happen. Overall, very pleased-- would stay there again!

Remodeled suites has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker (pods) and snacks. Very clean and comfortable (no loud heating units). Shower is nice and hot. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

The property is in final stages of renovation so there is still some work to do, mostly on the exterior. Breakfast was not yet being offered. The room was freshly remodeled, exceptionally clean and really large. The remodel was well done.

The stay was ok. It was pur first visit to this hotel. We understand they are still remodeling & getting everything in place. There was no breakfast and no outdoor patio as shown on website. The bathroom in our room was extremely small but it functioned. The updates were great but i think the layout of our room was difficult to maneuver but that is just my preference. There were no instructions in the room about emergency exits, maps, no info on area, no guide about the tv. The tv service was horrible. No aps on the tv or access to load any. Bed was comfotable as well as couch. Ice should be available elsewhere besides next to the hot pool area. It is melted by the time it comes out. Overall it was ok for the price.
