the YMCA is a great destination. Nice personnel to assist. Adult, child, & family friendly. So many activities, great location and grounds. A treasure trove of fun times. Breakfasts were delicious with a great variety of offerings from eggs, waffles, pancakes, muffins, yogurt, etc. A lot of choices. The water for kayaking and sail boating was crystal clear. Even live music over the weekend when we were there! We will definitely be back.

Amazing place. Over 700 acres and the location on the water is gorgeous! The staff are all helpful and we all left with a sense of being refreshed. Very calming place. We had free breakfast with our stay which was very nice. Salt n pepper those eggs though. Rooms are dorm style so if you are a four seasons type this might not be for you. The older, simpler time feel was not lost on us. In the warmer weather there are activities such as disc golf, cornhole, shuffleboard, swimming, basketball, tennis, pickleball, and probably lots more. You could also find a comfy chair on a deck or porch and read a book. Restorative is a great work for what goes on here. We will definitely be back.

Staff were pleasant / helpful. Some buildings on property are in poor shape and should be taken down. The building where our room was (William Boyd Center) nice and the dinning area is also in same building. Buffet breakfast was better than most hotel types. There are few if any, restaurants near this property. There appear to be many activities such as tennis, pickle ball, shuffle board, etc. on property. No TV in room.

We only stayed one night here at the end of a week-long October trip and wished we could have stayed longer. Wow! This was an absolutely beautiful property and the service was top- notch. We booked a room in the newer William Boyd Center that had a balcony overlooking the lake. The balcony had two rocking chairs to sit in and enjoy the incredible view. One thing to know is that this property is somewhat remote feeling and the parking lot is a long walk from the rooms. They do offer golf cart rides if needed. Eating in their dining room makes the most sense logistically, so we had both dinner and breakfast here. The food was good, with some variety, but nothing fancy. We were here at the end of the season, so things were very quiet. If you enjoy a peaceful, serene, beautiful property, this is the place! We are definitely planning to return for a longer stay.

The Inn where some of the rooms are does not have air conditioning, which I got lucky that it wasn't the height of summer yet. The room itself was okay but the walls are INCREDIBLY thin and you can hear every footstep of the people above you. The parking is a good 5-8ish minute walk away from some of the rooms which wouldn't be a major issue during the day but at night the road back to the rooms is not fully lit! It's almost pitch black for sime parts which does not feel safe at all. The breakfast was nothing to write home about, pretty mediocre, borderline not great. I'm sure if staying for the activities/amenities it's worth it. The only good thing I experienced was the fact the grounds are right on Lake George.

If you are looking to watch tv in your room and need AC, this might not be the place for you. That being said, this place was fantastic, gorgeous views of scenic Lake George, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Lake George. With so many activities to do on site. From a baseball/softball/ Kick ball field, shuffleboard, Watersports, a gymnasium. It would be a perfect place to go with a big family, a large group of friends, or if you want to unplug from the daily madness of being connected to our phone/ laptops/ electronics.

Beutiful setting for a hotel / recreation complex. Being a YMCA property this place is friendly and family oriented. We stayed overnight in early spring (solar eclipse) but were so impressed it's at the top of our list for a summer vacation. The dining hall is new and spacious and the food good. Roads leading to Silver Bay are very good.

Baaad very baad ..no AC in the room..entire room had very bad smell..beds are not conformable..there were dead insects all over the window..had to sleep on ground..for entire stay..I would not recommend it..wasted $120 per night.

It was not at all clear when booking online that this property was no longer an “Inn” but a YWCA sort of campsite. Our “room” was not in the Inn/Hotel but in a kind of outlying dorm room building with no air conditioning and an uncomfortable double bed. We had to park and walk through the wooded area and down some steps to reach the building in which we were staying. The spartan room cost $160 a night which was absurd for the facility. The hotel setting is gorgeous and view of the lake magnificent but the facilities were entirely unexpected. The room was clean, with nice towels and soap/shampoo, and had we known what we were in for we might have been able to enjoy the time there. But with no hair dryer in the room, I could not even shower. We could not leave fast enough.

Il n'y avait pas de climatisation, mais j'aurais dû vérifier avant. Le stationnement était loin et le chemin était très raboteux et en pente, ce qui était difficile d'accès à moto. Le site extérieur était enchanteur. Le déjeuner a surpassé nos attentes. Le matelas et les oreillers étaient très dur et le lit n'était pas au niveau (la tête plus basse que les pieds). Nous avons manqué de papier de toilette puisque le rouleau en place était presque épuisé.
Il n'y avait pas de climatisation, mais j'aurais dû vérifier avant. Le stationnement était loin et le chemin était très raboteux et en pente, ce qui était difficile d'accès à moto. Completely amazing. I've been working in the area for two months and ive stayed at several hotels in the area. Silver Bay is, by far, the most comfortable, cleanest and friendliest. I'll be in the area for another week or two and I'm already booked for this week. I'd like to add that the bed was the most comfortable and their towels, the fluffiest. Housekeeping removes the trash and replaces used washcloths, towels, and bathmats daily. The shower was amazing and I've slept the best here. Five very big stars!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The property was very pretty. I was shocked that the rooms had no AC. I was in town for a family event and couldn’t get ready in my room because it was so hot and my room was 100 degrees. I had to asked family if we could shower and get dressed in their home so I could blow dry my hair etc. I was prepared for the room not having a tv which was not a problem but the no AC should have been on the website. Also, the parking is pretty far from the hotel and in the dark walking was very dangerous. I have never been so disappointed in a get a way It may be nice in fall but stay away in summer

I had to asked family if we could shower and get dressed in their home so I could blow dry my hair etc. I was prepared for the room not having a tv which was not a problem but the no AC should have been on the website. This is a very scenic resort by Lake George. Good for the family or couples’ travel. Clean and essential room supplies. No TV or other entertainment setups in the room though, as far as I’m concerned.

Nice quiet room at a resort-like property on the lake. But it's near nothing. So, make sure you've eaten beforehand. I got in after 7pm and found nowhere to get a meal. The nearest place had no food left on a Saturday evening, and the next closest place was 15 miles away on a dark mountain road in Bolton Landing.

We only stayed one night here at the end of a week-long October trip and wished we could have stayed longer. Wow! This was an absolutely beautiful property and the service was top- notch. We booked a room in the newer William Boyd Center that had a balcony overlooking the lake. The balcony had two rocking chairs to sit in and enjoy the incredible view. One thing to know is that this property is somewhat remote feeling and the parking lot is a long walk from the rooms. They do offer golf cart rides if needed. Eating in their dining room makes the most sense logistically, so we had both dinner and breakfast here. The food was good, with some variety, but nothing fancy. We were here at the end of the season, so things were very quiet. If you enjoy a peaceful, serene, beautiful property, this is the place! We are definitely planning to return for a longer stay.

The location is just lovely. The people are friendly and I truly wish I had found this place while my children were still young. It would have been the perfect place to stay with them. There is lots to do with a family. The place is fairly secluded on a windy road along Lake George. It is somewhat hard to find but also marked. I was there to stay the night before a swim race on the lake so I booked for convenience. And, it was quite convenient. Having said that, I came back from dinner late in the evening and I am very glad I found parking right near the front of the hotel and that I was staying in the main building. The property is very large and somewhat intimidating for a single person staying alone. Beutiful setting for a hotel / recreation complex. Being a YMCA property this place is friendly and family oriented. We stayed overnight in early spring (solar eclipse) but were so impressed it's at the top of our list for a summer vacation. The dining hall is new and spacious and the food good. Roads leading to Silver Bay are very good.

the YMCA is a great destination. Nice personnel to assist. Adult, child, & family friendly. So many activities, great location and grounds. A treasure trove of fun times. Breakfasts were delicious with a great variety of offerings from eggs, waffles, pancakes, muffins, yogurt, etc. A lot of choices. The water for kayaking and sail boating was crystal clear. Even live music over the weekend when we were there! We will definitely be back.

This was very different from what I expected but fine. The room was clean and quiet. The “resort” has many buildings and the rooms are basic with no tv or phone. The restaurant has one serving a night and is cafeteria style. All was very acceptable and I have no complaints.

The rooms were like new, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of food and as much as you wanted. Our room offered a nice view of the lake, although the view was partially obstructed, so you don’t get a completely unobstructed view. However, be prepared for an expensive dinner if you plan to eat at the Conference center. At $32 per person, the food was disappointing for the price, as the quality and selection were more in line with what I would expect from a $10–$15 meal. Overall, the rooms, staff, and breakfast were positives, but the dinner prices were hard to justify.

I can’t believe a hotel in this day and age and at this price point doesn’t have tv. I couldn’t access WiFi on my phone. So I was unable reach people I was trying to get together with by phone or text. Check in was problematic. I was hot and tired and had to wait in unairconditioned area. Then, despite being in the building next to registration, had to read a map to drive in a loop to get to back of an unmarked building with no available parking. Check in started at 4 and I checked in shortly after 5. I had no way of knowing if that were even the building in question. The woman at the desk was not being helpful; fortunately, there was also a gentleman there who was accommodating and helped me figure it out. The only plus for me was the breakfast. Good food, great variety, a welcome surprise. I would never stay here again.

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the tour I received from the cart driver (I totaly forgot her name, but I do remember she met her husband there and has been volunteering there for many years) She has a passion for the place and after the tour I could see why. Grounds had everything you would need to make your overnight stay or week long stay memorable and relaxing. I was able to fish off the dock, watch the young adults play home run derby on the ball field and enjoy a great dinner at the restaurant. Was a little concerned about no TV and no AC in the room. Room was a little hot during the day, but with everything there is to do, why stay inside. Night time, I put the fan in the window, turned the ceiling fan on and slept like a baby. I was only there for 1 night, but would go back again. Maybe next time for a little longer.
