Hotel Cetus was unlike any hotel I've ever stayed at. First, when you arrive you'll realize that you can't even see a hotel. It's all below on the cliff! All you see from the road is a tiny parking lot and an elevator shaft. Because the hotel is built into the cliff and overlooks the sea, the views are incredible! All the service staff from the reception to housekeeping to the restaurants are 5 star plus. You'll quickly realize that everything on the Amalfi Coast is pricey and it's very challenging to drive around. And don't even think about walking from the hotel - dangerous! I highly recommend trying their on-site restaurant for dinner. The restaurant has fantastic food and outstanding service. You'll get a lot for your money. The hotel has it's own beach, offers an amazing full breakfast with everything you can think of, and has a beach restaurant. The only drawback to Hotel Cetus is also it's advantage, it's not within walking distance of a town or near anything so you have to brave the extreme traffic to get anywhere. The plus side is after you've been out you're SO HAPPY to be back to some place quiet and away from the crowds!

The property is well located as it’s not a busy area, easy to eat at restaurants around but the hotel has the top rated restaurant. We went for dinner and it was excellent! The breakfast at the hotel is exceptional, so many options and the service is so good! The beach is great as well. There are comfortable chairs with umbrellas. You can have drinks and lunch there as well. The water is nice and calm, it too lane waves, great for swimming. Bring your goggles to see the small fish. The room has an amazing balcony overseeing the ocean and Salerno. The room is nice but small. You can tell the hotel is a little older as the walls need a little work but it’s very clean. There is also a spa at the hotel with a nice big hot tub overlooking the ocean, so nice and great temperature, not too hot. There is also a steam room. The gym is very small, no free weights. As for noise in the room, it’s usually quiet but if one guest over you drags a chair, you will hear it! The hotel should invest in putting something under the legs of chairs like they do in the restaurant. Some people are so inconsiderate and don’t thing how they are bothering people in the rooms under them! All in all this is a wonderful hotel with very good staff, we would go back! Dolly who works in the restaurant and beach, is amazing!

We enjoyed our stay here. It is much quieter than Positano and Amalfi. This can be a positive or negative, depending on what you are looking for. There is a ferry you can take to several different towns. It is a 5-10 minute walk to get to the ferry, along the side of the road (no sidewalk). The hotel offers a shuttle service, which is great, however it is not always available when you need it, so don’t count on this service. We had great views of the sea, and the room was spacious and comfortable. There is a small private beach, but you will need flip flops or other footwear to walk on the pebbles. The connected restaurant is nice, great food. We walked into Cetara town one evening, and there are several restaurants to choose from. Since it’s a fishing village, the emphasis is on fish/seafood. We used a tour guide service that had been recommended by the hotel. This was awesome. The owner of the company went above and beyond to create personalized unique experiences for us. The company is Mandato Consulting. I cannot recommend them enough for enhancing your trip to the Amalfi Coast. Call Alba and she will ensure you have a wonderful time.

Warm welcoming staff. Breakfast buffet was always plentiful and good selection. Great room, very comfortable queen bed and fantastic sea view. Hotel is built in to the cliffs with private beach accessible by a lift.

The views from the rooms and restaurant were outstanding! Convenient access to the beach via elevator. Only thing the needed were umbrellas on the beach since the sun was so intense. Overall a great experience.

Such a lovely view from our room hearing the waves and seagulls. Just gorgeous and peaceful. Free parking was a huge plus and we enjoyed the beach and the hot tub. I would stay here again

Hotel Cetus was very nice. Room with water view was spacious. The flushing mechanism was a bit wonky, and the floor got a bit dirty. Otherwise, it was comfortable and the service was excellent. Resturant staff was very good and the barman Danielo was fantastic. He was helpful and generous and a delight! Resturant dinner was excellent; each fish perfectly prepared. The deserts were a step above. Best, most creative tiramisu I’ve ever eaten!

We were impressed by everything about Hotel Cetus. It was immaculate and had beautiful artwork throughout. The room was spacious & clean with a stunning view of the sea. The bed was also very comfy. The staff couldn't have been more hospitable and the breakfast was fantastic. We would visit here again.

Das hotel war eine 10/10. Alles sehr Sauber und hygienisch. Ausblick aus dem Fenster war einfach fantastisch. Alles war sehr sehr schön! Mein Ratschlag wäre am besten sich ein Auto zumieten. Weil ohne Auto ist man bisschen verloren.

This property was beautiful! Room was clean with a gorgeous balcony overlooking the water. Staff were very nice mostly, but not overly friendly. Possibly just a cultural difference.

Nice room great views. Several bugs and spiders in room. Hot tub had to be fixed. Quiet not many people. Town of Cetara close by walking distance. 50.00 to taxi in and out of Salerno.

Beautiful property! The staff were friendly and helpful with inquiries. The breakfast was plentiful with a good selection of hot food, meat and cheese, pastries, bread and rolls. Delicious! Great central location to see Amalfi coast! The view from the room was amazing! I would definitely stay again!

The room has an amazing balcony overseeing the ocean and Salerno. The room is nice but small. You can tell the hotel is a little older as the walls need a little work but it’s very clean. There is also a spa at the hotel with a nice big hot tub overlooking the ocean, so nice and great temperature, not too hot. There is also a steam room. The gym is very small, no free weights. As for noise in the room, it’s usually quiet but if one guest over you drags a chair, you will hear it! The hotel should invest in putting something under the legs of chairs like they do in the restaurant. Some people are so inconsiderate and don’t thing how they are bothering people in the rooms under them! All in all this is a wonderful hotel with very good staff, we would go back! Dolly who works in the restaurant and beach, is amazing!

We came to the coast for some quiet and relaxation and we instead find ourselves at a hotel with a very loud wedding going on just above our heads late into the evening. We had to close our patio door to keep the sound out and get to sleep. we went to the front desk and received no help or compensation and barely an apology. We spent a lot of money to come here and it was a total waste. Additionally their lunch/bar options are abysmal and the beds were like rocks. We were so excited to come here and it was such a disappointment

Warm welcoming staff. Breakfast buffet was always plentiful and good selection. Great room, very comfortable queen bed and fantastic sea view. Hotel is built in to the cliffs with private beach accessible by a lift.

You'll quickly realize that everything on the Amalfi Coast is pricey and it's very challenging to drive around. And don't even think about walking from the hotel - dangerous! I highly recommend trying their on-site restaurant for dinner. The restaurant has fantastic food and outstanding service. You'll get a lot for your money. The hotel has it's own beach, offers an amazing full breakfast with everything you can think of, and has a beach restaurant. The only drawback to Hotel Cetus is also it's advantage, it's not within walking distance of a town or near anything so you have to brave the extreme traffic to get anywhere. Not recommended it. The hotel was ok . the staff was not friendly at all. Check in no one offered to help with luggage . I understand this hotel is not 5 stars but at least be a bit friendly and smile to the people would be nice.Hard to get around from the location. The dining options is limited. When we first arrived the restaurant was close for private events for the whole weekend, play loud music. In the room you can hear footsteps and the door closed and open the balcony not private walk out you will see the the next door neighbor in underwear or smoking all the time could not enjoy the balcony because you know that European they are smoke all the time and everywhere! The only nice thing is the private beach that they have . Would not Go Back to stay there .

Great location. Easy 10 minute walk to ferry which brings you to Amalfi, Positano and the entire coast within an hour. Cetara is an amazing town to end your night. Hotel itself offered a lot, great views, beach and restaurant.

This was a phenomenal stay. You can walk to the town of Cetara to eat, or hop on the ferry to anywhere else in Amalfi. There is a beautiful private beach and the staff was extremely accommodating. It’s close to everything but without the business of the city. Highly recommend.

Stunning view from our room with a balcony!! Hotel was very pretty. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Ferry is a few minutes walk down the road walking along the ocean..view was spectacular!! Not close to train station but sooo worth the taxi fare. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!!

Das hotel war eine 10/10. Alles sehr Sauber und hygienisch. Ausblick aus dem Fenster war einfach fantastisch. Alles war sehr sehr schön! Mein Ratschlag wäre am besten sich ein Auto zumieten. Weil ohne Auto ist man bisschen verloren.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is much quieter than Positano and Amalfi. This can be a positive or negative, depending on what you are looking for. There is a ferry you can take to several different towns. It is a 5-10 minute walk to get to the ferry, along the side of the road (no sidewalk). The hotel offers a shuttle service, which is great, however it is not always available when you need it, so don’t count on this service. We had great views of the sea, and the room was spacious and comfortable. There is a small private beach, but you will need flip flops or other footwear to walk on the pebbles. The connected restaurant is nice, great food. We walked into Cetara town one evening, and there are several restaurants to choose from. Since it’s a fishing village, the emphasis is on fish/seafood. We used a tour guide service that had been recommended by the hotel. This was awesome. The owner of the company went above and beyond to create personalized unique experiences for us. The company is Mandato Consulting. I cannot recommend them enough for enhancing your trip to the Amalfi Coast. Call Alba and she will ensure you have a wonderful time.

The hotel was wonderful. Sea views and private beach were amazing. The breakfast each day were excellent and staff very accommodating and polite. The only caution is the lack of shuttle throughout the day to Cetera for lunch/dinner or ferry access. Paid drivers at $3 per person added up for a multi-day stay.

Hotel Cetus was very nice. Room with water view was spacious. The flushing mechanism was a bit wonky, and the floor got a bit dirty. Otherwise, it was comfortable and the service was excellent. Resturant staff was very good and the barman Danielo was fantastic. He was helpful and generous and a delight! Resturant dinner was excellent; each fish perfectly prepared. The deserts were a step above. Best, most creative tiramisu I’ve ever eaten!

It was simply beautiful. There was a great little beach and wonderful room. I would say my only cons would be that there is no pool, and I could not get a reservation for dinner at the restaurant. Otherwise it was great!

Because the hotel is between towns, the reception staff were incredibly helpful booking taxis and helping with transportation for activities in nearby Vietri sul Mare and Salerno. Sandwiches were always available at the bar, but we didn’t come to Italy to just eat sandwiches. If you didn’t have a reservation, and the restaurants were booked (which happened twice to us), you’d have to go into Cetara for food.

Hôtel très sympa vue magnifique. 10 Minute à pied du village. Plage privée avec chouette bar et service de plage. Lit parasols et linges de bains compris. Petit déjeuner très copieux et varié. Valet parking gratuit. Clim très performante et ultra silencieuse. Très jolie adresse. Chaussures de plage obligatoire pour entrer et sortir car plage de cailloux mais fond de la mer vite important. Pas de soucis particulier à relever.

This hotel was 10/10, very well maintained, spacious room for three, but the best part was how helpful Elena and Carmela at the front desk were. Elena coordinated transfers before our arrival, during our stay and the day of our departure. She coordinated the most amazing cooking class in Amalfi, again 10/10. Of note, Cetera is a fishing village so most pasta dishes are prepared with fish. You need to take the ferry to other surrounding areas, Amalfi, Capri etc. meals at the hotel were amazing!! Again, the staff made our experience memorable! Views are beautiful!!
