Residence Inn Gainesville I-75

Parking was easy, staff was pleasant and very nice.

Convenient but dated

This property is one of our favorites! We appreciate all the updates they have done to the property. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! The breakfast has great choices!

Wonderful staff, hotel is currently under major remodeling with water cut off and power to bathroom not working correctly. Construction noice started at 6:45-7:00 am on our fifth floor.

Property location very accessible to interstate 75. Pool could have been cleaner. Hotel room was clean, hotel staff was friendly.

Property is being renovated and amenities are outstanding. Our room had been renovated and was outstanding.Staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Staff was very friendly, rooms where huge, loved the outside area with camp fire & pool. Close to I75 so easy to get there, highway a bit noisy but for me it was just nice to have some background sounds. Very satisfyed with my stay for that price range.

The hotel is under construction - renovation. The hot water was basically non-existent. Construction debris and work being done ...... Do NOT stay here until probably October 2023 or after.

Great service. Very nice property. Very clean rooms. Fully stocked and comfortable. I love the convenience of the store downstairs. I didn’t get a chance to taste the breakfast because I was so comfortable in the luxurious bed and kitchenette that I didn’t make it down to breakfast in time. Highly recommend this property.

We like the hotel for convenience to shopping and Shands Medical Center. Hotel has most of the kitchen items we require as we eat meals in. Only complaint was small roaches (water bugs?) that inhabit the kitchen area. I did not request spraying as we do not like chemicals, especially near food or prep area.

It was great! Comfortable clean room with many accommodations from home which worked out perfectly.

Dishwasher was covered in mold. One of the TVs was not working and there was no one on site that could help

Great stay! The hotel was very clean, staff was super nice, and it was a great location plenty of places to eat. We will be staying here again on our next trip.

The room was not well cleaned. The front desk staff were very friendly.

Check in staff was polite. Process was quick and simple. The room was comfortable and the bed and pillows were very comfortable as well. The bathroom smelled musty and there was an empty beer can left under the desk. The breakfast was not the best but it’s what you would expect. Property is not what I expected of the Marriott name.

Way too close to the interstate(its literally behind the building). The ac was very loud too. There is alot of shopping nearby and it was about a ten minute drive to Shands.

Nice rooms

Check in when smooth way without any problems. Hotel room was overall well laid out and in good condition. Bed unfortunately was very hard and uncomfortable and lighting over the bed only Only had one of the 3 bulbs working with 1 inapproprible and 1 a bear socket. There was no alarm clock in the bedroom and when we asked about it we were told that they were on order and not available currently. The dining portion of the hotel for breakfast was very clean and well maintained also very well stocked. I cannot tell you anything about the other amenities as we did not use them.

The sound from highway was very loud, could not sleep. Need sound proof windows.

Lots of road noise from the highway nearby at all hours of night.

I think the double pane windows would reduce the noise level from the freeway . The Wi-Fi was not satisfied either.

Someone charged my card twice and I booked through expedia

I’ve stayed here many times when on business trips in Gainesville. It’s always comfortable and convenient. Staff very friendly.

The check in was so bad that we cancelled our stay. So sad. It was our granddaughters college graduation. We waited at the front desk for 2 hours for our room to be made available. The clerks at the front desk had no interest in helping us. It was a horrible experience on what should have been a joyous occasion.

Excellent place, staff and service

Booked this stay November 15. Upon check in I was told they had changed their pet policy from a $75 per stay fee to a $75 per pet, per stay fee. The policy apparently changed 2 days before we checked in. So for this one night stay, they wanted $150 plus tax just for the two dogs, added to the room rate. I advised that I had called the hotel inquiring about the pet fee prior to booking and would not be paying $150 plus tax for my dogs. The desk clerk agreed to waive the additional $75 fee “this one time”. Gee thanks. I always read the reviews before booking and the number one complaint is that due to the hotel’s very close proximity to I-75, the constant traffic noise interrupts guests’ sleeping. So I made sure to check in shortly after 4 PM and I requested a suite farthest from the interstate NOT facing the interstate. As we would be driving home most of the next day, we needed a good night’s sleep. She told me our room was NOT facing the interstate. After receiving my room key, I went back to our son’s home in Gainesville where we visited, had dinner, and came back to the hotel around 9:30 PM. I’m quite sure the desk clerk knew she was assigning me a room that faced the interstate even though I specifically requested one that did not. On purpose? Who knows. So I cannot recommend this hotel based on poor sleep due to traffic noise, the ridiculous pet fee policy, and the front desk clerk’s inability to provide us with a room that did not face the noisy interstate.

Very good stay. Staff was nice. Hotel was overall good except carpet worn in hall and elevator. Breakfast had limited fair warm items. Water saver toilet was a joke. Flush 3 times to evacuate and small leak causes it to refill through the day. Too funny Eco friendly?
