Aloft by Marriott Austin Downtown

Great hotel bar.

The service and room were great, surprisingly quiet despite a noisy nighttime parade. Great location as well. The reason I will not return is the absolutely insane parking fee of over $65. We were told there were no other options available.

Liked the character of the hotel, did NOT like the valet dropoff.... way too rushed and difficult being in the street traffic. Also valet ridiculously expensive with no choice for self parking. Did not like that ice machine was only available on main floor 2 and out of the 2 machines only one was working. Bar service at hotel bar was not the best, had to ask for things several times, and did not receive things ordered. We had kids with us and were told that they had to be out of the bar by 8pm... a bit early I think when with the parents. The room was very nice, clean, fairly new, felt like quality.

The hotel was clean and amenities were good. The environment is nice for socializing and enjoying food and drinks as there is a club/bar on the second floor. A pool would be great but the fitness center is nice.

The coffee shop downstairs was pretty good. Especially the breakfast tacos.

Second time staying, I absolutely love the atmosphere of this hotel. Its in a great location, very clean check-in and check out very smooth. The cinnamon rolls at the bakery are to die for! I just wish it had a pool.

I love all of the Aloft properties but this one in downtown Austin is my favorite so far! Close to the action on 6th street, the convention center, the capital...and it's got two great restaurants, a coffee shop and a bar. They do not have self-park available (across the street for $38) or Valet for $54. Note - check in is on the 2nd floor.

Wonderful hotel, in a great location with really helpful and friendly staff. Valet parking , bar service was superb , brisket tacos delicious and very yummy expresso martinis …. On top of all that it’s just a few minutes walk to get to all the live music venues and right around the corner from the Driskill hotel- lovely for a visit but would rather stay at the Aloft - we will be back , often !

Overall I enjoyed the property and my stay. My shower leaked in the back onto the floor and the bathroom door didn’t close all the way but everything else was good!! Would definitely stay again

My room was never cleaned in the 3 days I was there. I was running low on clean towels and toilet paper. I left a day early since it was becoming more of a hassle to be there then to just go home. They never brought my pet bed, bowls, or treats.(I brought this to their attention 2 different times after initial check in) They didn't properly check in my pets(after I told them at check in what did I need to do for my pet check in) Then they called me the 2nd day I was there in the evening and said I had 30min to get back to the hotel to complete paper work or I would be charged a $250.00 fine.

The food was excellent. The room was nice and clean. However, there are no handrails to hold on to in the shower and the floor of the shower was very slippery. Not convenient for those of us with neuropathies. In addition, the shower door did not close properly, leading to water leaking out onto the tile floor of the rest of the bathroom.

Room was very loud , and there has dried blood on the white bed sheets prior to my first night

Convenient location, lots of dining options within walking distance. Nice and well kept property. Only complain I have is that rooms are serviced every other day but they never tell you so at check-in nor they post it in the room, so we came back to our room at the end of the day for our second night to find out it was not serviced.

The room, the hallway everything felt dirty! And it is so loud we had trouble sleeping! We were on the 22nd floor and the noise from the street traffic was horrible! Overall all a bad experience. Wouldn’t go back!

I've stayed there twice now and have the same compliant. During the first stay my coffee wasn't replenished and during the second stay my creamers weren't replenished. I just seems like housekeeping doesn't have or doesn't care about attention to detail. And there's no breakfast available so I can't get coffee there. I end up having to try to find coffee on my way to the office in a city I'm unfamiliar with. For over $200/night I should have plenty of coffee available each morning during my stay. There are many other choices available that will provide me with plenty of supplies to have a cup of coffee.

The main issue we had with this hotel was the housekeeping. We stayed for 4 nights and never had the trash emptied, coffee items were not replaced and on our last day there was no housekeeping service at all. Not what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

We had a great stay, the room was nice and clean, check-in was easy, property was easy to navigate, and the clean staff was easy to work with. Hotel is in a great location with restaurants on property or nearby walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location of this hotel. The entire space is a really modern cute vibe and clean. The bar by the lobby was a cute spot to hang out before heading out. Our room was really comfy, had black out curtains and sound machine. I couldn’t ask for more.

Street noise heard from room despite being on 18th floor. Bathroom area not truly separate from rest of the guest room- so easy to wake others in your group. AC either too cold or too hot.

Was great staff/service and great hotel, but the hotel room was a bit rough on NYE. The sound was unbearable. It felt like the walls were so paper thin we could hear EVERYTHING. Everything outside and inside. The hotel knows this as well because they have a sound machine on the nightstand. It helped a little but we slept a wink…really wish I could rate it higher but i was shocked by how much we could hear. Staff amazing though!

This place was so good. It is right in the middle of everything, was super cool, clean, big room, great view and the staff were great. I got a late checkout as well without extra cost which is great.

Room on the small side but comfy, clean, nice view. The only thing to improve is the lightning in the dressing/bathroom area, it is very dark.

Booked a city view and paid the extra money. My room was across from another room. Couldn’t leave our window open due to seeing directly into another room. Wouldn’t call it a city view.

The room was clean and comfortable. I had a work space which was great. The comforter was not very thick so I asked for a second comforter and was able to sleep more comfortably after that. Pillows are not the best.

Hotel was really nice and clean. Room is on the smaller size but faces the windows which is a plus. Valet is a little expensive at $65! The pillows are a little too bulky for both my husband and I.

Love the the room on a corner with awesome views and hotel it’s nicely located in downtown.

Good hotel. No so good front desk service. It's not good to show that you hate your job and roll your eyes every time someone new joins the line.

Aloft Downtown was excellent in all aspects. Our room was clean, roomy, the city view was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. We were given a one bed room on accident upon arrival and immediately was switched to our 2 queen bed room with 2 vouchers for $10 off of food/drink. ($20 total)

solo weekend in Austin and Aloft was definitely the right decision! Location is perfect, walking distance to everything in downtown. Couple blocks from capital. Staff was great! I had a small hiccup in my room and they fixed it so fast while I was out to dinner! Very much appreciated!

Everything was great! The staff was so friendly. Provided gift bags to our 2 rooms because they knew it was my birthday trip. Absolutely recommend.

Our staycation at ALOFT Austin was wonderful. Valet in front of hotel was slow but methodical. It is a jammed up area of Austin and not much space. Check in was seamless. Carolines upstairs is a cool indoor/outdoor bar/restaurant. Food & margs were delightful. Kudos to bartenders Justin & Danny. The king size bed room was a bit smaller than we usual see. However, we were there only 1 night so not a big deal. Room was clean and well decorated. Great location if you’re visiting Austin for 1st time. At 2am we had to call front desk because someone was playing loud thumping music. Security handled it within 30 minutes. Thanks for that. At checkout Ria (thank you) noticed we had the above issue and spoke with Bri S,(mod) who then comped our valet parking. Thank you for that. We highly recommend ALOFT Austin and would stay here again. It was a pleasure. Thank you.

Excellent staff!!! David, Khemi, Johnathan, Greyson, the Valet gentlemen. Everyone was fantastic!!! I would stay with you all again strictly because of the staff and service received.

I always love aloft properties and this one was no different. Easily walk to local bars and restaurants.

Perfect location. Walking distance from tons of restaurants and bars. Was able to check in early with no problems and was even offered a late check out.

Property was really nice. Not really kid friendly since it’s more of a party hotel. At no fault of the hotel at all, the location is not really great. It’s on the corner of 7th Street and Congress which is right next to dirty 6th Street. Went to go get stuff to eat and got hit up three different times for money and the third time harassed and cursed out for not having any cash on us. This seems to be the norm for that area.

Everything inside the hotel was amazing! Loved the room, the staff, and the food. The parking situation in this area isn’t ideal, and walking around at night especially didn’t feel the safest, but that’s just downtown Austin. If I go to Austin again I’d definitely stay here again.

Hotel was great! Toom was suoer nice. Had options for restaurants and shopping in neighborhood. My only 2 issyes was the noise from cars racing outside and homeless people yelling and cussing us fir not giving them money or food.

We had a great stay at the Aloft in downtown Austin. There were plenty of restaurants close by and a lot of things to do. It was a great central location and we could walk most places.

Property is in a great location to UT, restaurants, bars, etc.

Love the restaurant downstairs the bar hangout on 2nd floor and our comfy room. Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning soon!

Was there on a very busy weekend and was impressed by the friendly and professional care I got at the reception and valet parking. The hotel is clean, well maintained and the food at the restaurant Caroline delicious.

Hotel was cozy and centralized. Parking options are scarce and overpriced which is expected for downtown but was annoyed more by The Aloft bar on the 2nd floor. I was charged 12$ for the jellyfish IPA while MENU price was 8$. I had quite a few & even though I was overcharged at the time of the bill, I sill tipped.

Property was beautiful and in a great location! After traveling for such a long time we decided to take a shower upon arrival! Before we left for the night I stopped by the front desk and asked for clean linen so we could take a shower once we returned! Headed over to 6th street and returned after almost 5 hours and still didn’t have clean towels. Went back down to the desk and the person I spoke with said they’ll have it right up. We stayed up waiting another hour and clean towels never made it so we had to uncomfortable take a shower with no towels and AIR DRY! The next day housekeeping came to the room while we were gone and guess what, STILL DIDNT LEAVE CLEAN TOWELS! We made it back to the hotel at about 6pm that day and had dinner reservations so we really wanted to take a fresh shower. The person at the front desk did make sure we got our towels immediately and I was very grateful! Saturday Morning we go downstairs for breakfast (which was prepaid) they let us know it was a 45 min wait and I was ok with that. We sat outside and waited for our table until it was ready. Once ready we went inside and was seated. After about 10 mins the waitress finally came over and served us water! Didn’t ask if we wanted anything or if we were ok! NOTHING! She walked off and another 15 mins went by and she still didn’t come back! ATP I was really aggravated because now I’ve wasted over 1hour of my time. My husband and I decided it was best if we just leave. WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN!
