Lux Suites the Palms Apartments Nyali

Stay away from this property - it seems to be a scam! Despite a confirmed booking by Expedia, upon arrival at Lux Suites the Palm around 8h30pm in the evening, I was told that there was no room available. There was no manager on-site, but the security guard called someone who told him to send us away. The person on the phone said they had been fully booked since the day before and that I had to take up any issue with Expedia. We were unceremoniously sent away late in the evening in an area of Nyali where there is not much else and had to scramble to find another hotel for the night. Apparently, the manager told Expedia that we were offered an alternative room/apartment, which is untrue. This seems to be a scheme where they overbook their hotel/apartments and then make up stories to Expedia to keep the payment. I am still trying to sort this out with Expedia, who have been somewhat helpful but let's say the process of claiming a refund from Expedia in such a situation is not straightforward.

It was a great location, nice and quiet.

Nice to stay at a condo hotel, great hospitality ans service by all staff. Located far away from restaurants, food, services so need to use Uber /Bolt for transportation.
