The Moon Boutique Hotel was absolutely fantastic with attentive staff and superior breakfast and lunch options. I highly recommend the Moon Boutique Hotel, but would not a lack of alcoholic drink options to enjoy the spectacular sunset from the cozy roof-top lounge.

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Cat Ba. This boutique hotel truly lives up to its name and the staff make the stay extra special. Centrally located so restaurants and adventures are on the doorstep. Excellent breakfast. We also loved the stylish roof terrace where we could have our own drinks. Would love to stay again!

We stayed for 3 nights, opting for The Moon instead of some place by the waterfront (due to the construction work), and we did not regret it! Very friendly staff, excellent room (with a beautiful bathroom), very good breakfast and a nice skybar. Beds were very comfy (but pillows were HUGE). Our room at floor 7 had no seaview (construction site view) but instead a view over the street and rooftops. Across the street a new house was being built in a narrow slot and it was actually quite fascinating to study the progress. The hotel staff booked us scooters and gave helpful tips on where to go.

Väldigt fint mottagande, härlig och hjälpsam personal. Rummet var superfint o fräscht, vackert o stort! Frukosten var av enklare sort, väldig basic. Extremt varmt i lobbyn, korridoren och hissen, med en inte så fräsch doft därefter (det är dock extremt varmt o fuktigt allmänt - okt). Varje gång vi åkte hiss till 9onde våning så hade jag lite panik om hissen skulle stanna - och så varmt därinne - hade inte överlevt värst länge! Men i det stora hela var vi nöjda då rummet var fantastiskt och servicen också.

We had a two night stay at the Moon Boutique Hotel whilst we were doing a Lan Ha boat trip. The hotel itself is lovely, clean and modern and the staff were all very friendly. Our stay was impacted by the construction work which is taking place directly outside, and there was also very loud music coming from the fountain display until late in the evening, which is not the hotel’s fault but did impact our sleep!

The hotel is very well managed, spotless clean & updated with a cute contemporary style, Beds comfy!! Warm welcome with fruit and smoothies, and breakfasts were not buffet, decent options, and servings large. Great downtown location. The window views of an abandoned building with garbage galore behind it was disappointing - but not uncommon in Vietnam. Overall, I would bring my family to this hotel any day. Bonus: the company also runs tours, thus making the planning seamless.

What a great find! Friendly staff, room was modern and clean. Beds were the most comfortable I have experienced in Vietnam, wanted to buy the pillows! Close to everything, breakfast was good. Highly recommend 👌

I’m pretty sure this is the best hotel in all of Vietnam. The rooms are incredible. Beautifully designed, lots of space, with all the amenities. On top of that, the service was so amazing. The two girls that helped us were so kind and helpful. I don’t think you can find a better hotel!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Moon Boutique Hotel! The staff was wonderful and helped arrange our travel to and from the hotel from Hanoi. The hotel is tucked away in the middle of town and all of the action, but our room was beautiful and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. The town and residents were still recovering from Typhoon Yagi which struck in September, but the resilence of the people and their positive vibes transcended the physical damage to the area. The beach are was undergoing restoration while we were there in October, but I would guess that it would be back to normal sometime in November. We definitely want to come back to spend more time in Cat Ba as we only had two and a half days there. We will certainly stay again at the Moon Boutique!

L hôtel est superbe , déco , calme , confort au top et très propre . Le personnel est super et répond avec rapidement et très efficace . Superbe La seule chose non lié à l hôtel est qu un complexe est en création au bout de la rue et cache le côté mer pour le moment

Large, comfortable room with a fabulous bed and lovely bedding. Great en-suite. Small restaurant for breakfast. Right near the sea-front. Cat Ba Bay Area not the most picturesque, but very good location for local restaurants and bars. Right above Cat Ba ventures for trips and excursions. Reasonable price

We had a great stay here our room ‘was very spacious and well appointed. Lots of storage for your things. The view was nice from the room. There is construction right now but you still have a view. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff are very helpful! I definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything about our stay was perfect — from the warm welcome and kindness of the staff to the beautiful room decor and excellent amenities. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the overall assistance provided by the team was truly above and beyond. We arrived early in the morning and were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in immediately, with no extra charges — a big plus after a long journey! What really stood out was the exceptional quality of the staff. I wasn’t feeling well one morning, and they kindly offered to replace my usual breakfast with a comforting soup to help me recover. They even acted as an intermediary between our travel agency and a bus company to help us resolve a booking issue. The location of the hotel is also ideal — close to everything. We had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great value and outstanding service!

Soft comfy beds. First pillow was a bit too big and was provided a perfect slimmer pillow in 5 minutes of my request. Many of the hotels in the area are old as this small bustling town of 12k people see 10k-20k tourists in the summer months per day. This hotel had great location, friendly staff, great breakfast, and Cat Ba Ventures make it very convenient for me book tours around the area, as well as transportation to/from Hanoi.

We stayed in Cat Ba for two nights, three days. We had a flight delay coming in and the staff at Cat Ba was so communicative and made sure to stay in contact regarding our transportation to the island. They made this process seamless! Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with warmth and all we needed to know about the area. Our room was exceptional and the breakfast was delicious!

It was our best hotel in Vietnam so far. We highly recommend it. The room (we booked the suite) was amazing as well as the breakfast and the staff. Unfortunately they are building a huge resort in front of the hotel - better to keep Cat Ba special instead of mass tourism

We absolutely loved our stay at the Moon Boutique Hotel! The staff was wonderful and helped arrange our travel to and from the hotel from Hanoi. The hotel is tucked away in the middle of town and all of the action, but our room was beautiful and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. The town and residents were still recovering from Typhoon Yagi which struck in September, but the resilence of the people and their positive vibes transcended the physical damage to the area. The beach are was undergoing restoration while we were there in October, but I would guess that it would be back to normal sometime in November. We definitely want to come back to spend more time in Cat Ba as we only had two and a half days there. We will certainly stay again at the Moon Boutique!

We stayed for 3 nights, opting for The Moon instead of some place by the waterfront (due to the construction work), and we did not regret it! Very friendly staff, excellent room (with a beautiful bathroom), very good breakfast and a nice skybar. Beds were very comfy (but pillows were HUGE). Our room at floor 7 had no seaview (construction site view) but instead a view over the street and rooftops. Across the street a new house was being built in a narrow slot and it was actually quite fascinating to study the progress. The hotel staff booked us scooters and gave helpful tips on where to go.

Nieuw leuk Boutique hotel met prima la carte ontbijt, goed bed en douche en supervriendelijk personeel in het centrum van het stadje. Slechts 1,2 km van het strand. Veel restaurants en scooterverhuur in de buurt.

We had a great stay here our room ‘was very spacious and well appointed. Lots of storage for your things. The view was nice from the room. There is construction right now but you still have a view. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff are very helpful! I definitely recommend this hotel.

Väldigt fint mottagande, härlig och hjälpsam personal. Rummet var superfint o fräscht, vackert o stort! Frukosten var av enklare sort, väldig basic. Extremt varmt i lobbyn, korridoren och hissen, med en inte så fräsch doft därefter (det är dock extremt varmt o fuktigt allmänt - okt). Varje gång vi åkte hiss till 9onde våning så hade jag lite panik om hissen skulle stanna - och så varmt därinne - hade inte överlevt värst länge! Men i det stora hela var vi nöjda då rummet var fantastiskt och servicen också.

Property was very modern inside. Bed was amazing, so comfortable. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Location was very central. Staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very helpful in organising a driver for us to take us to the National Park. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay on Cat Ba Island

Our stay at the Moon Boutique Hotel was wonderful. This was the best hotel we stayed at on our 2 week trip to Vietnam. The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly and helpful for all our needs. The location is right in the main strip of Cat Ba town, which can be a bit hectic but our room wasn’t too noisy. This was a great value for the price and I would return.
