This was the peaceful retreat that my husband and I were looking for. The wood stove was perfect for sone chilly nights. And the sunset views were amazing. The community lake was larger than expected and also very pretty. Owners were quick to respond when we had an issue and promptly helped us resolve it. Just lovely!

The cabin was very rustic but comfortable! The sunsets from the deck and hot tub were fabulous. Directions were spot on. This is definitely a place I would come back to.

Everything worked but the steps to go up to the door were not easy to climb with our luggage. We were not able to use front door according to rules. The cabin had dust and bugs in corners / looked like just a quick cleaning before our arrival. The microwave had not been cleaned in a long long time. The cabinets were falling apart. Hot tub fabulous!

Arrived to find no toilet paper! Cabin was clean, wood stove seemed cumbersome, so we didn't use it. Hot tub was nice- right outside the door. View was splendid. Cabin is remote and I wouldn't want to attempt the drive without having a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Kitchen is well stocked. Stove is gas and was turned off when we got there, but my husband knew what to do ( I'm not familiar with gas appliances ). Bed was comfortable. Cabin is somewhat dated and I would give it a higher rating if it were spruced up.

What a great spot for a getaway!! We loved relaxing and reading in the hot tub, sitting in front of the wood burning stove, stargazing, soaking in the mountain views (including spectacular sunsets), and exploring the towns nearby. It was the perfect way to ring in the new year! Thank you!!

The cabin looks like a piecemeal project over many years. The open walkway is deteriorating and dangerous. The Transylvan County inspections department should inspection the property asap. The view was beautiful. Very poor lighting. Kitchen cabinets were not clean and the cookware was an assortment of old junk. The listing did not accurately state the distance and road conditions to get to the cabin.

The place was very comfortable, bed was amazing views were spectacular!! One thing that would be helpful is a working lighter for fireplace . Would definitely stay there again close to nearby Brevard.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this very rustic cabin. It felt amazing to be able to soak in the hot tub after a day of hiking one of the many nearby trails. That was always followed by dinner and a cocktail in front of a nice warm fireplace. The cabin offered everything we wanted and more…including free firewood! The water pressure was on the low side but the hot showers always felt great. The loft bedroom was quite comfortable and spacious. The kitchen had all the basic stuff we needed to cook up a simple breakfast with drip coffee every morning and prepare dinner and drinks every evening. I highly recommend this cabin for couples looking for a cozy, comfortable getaway in the woods.

I rented this property for my adult son as a weekend getaway for him to recharge. He was impressed with the beautiful view and truly enjoyed his time there. He said the property was clean and suited his needs. Now we need to book our own trip!

The cabin itself is STUNNING. It's nice and remote, and it's a nice step away from the "real world." When we got there, there was some leftover food and drink from the previous renters, but nothing gross or to be upset over. The hot tub is wonderful and so is the cabin. That said, the communication needs help. You will receive a VERY long PowerPoint, but still leaves questions and you will be constantly consulting said PowerPoint. On top of this, I had an issue where the road was blocked leaving the property and the power went out. While this is not the owners' fault in the slightest, one of the owners was very rude in dealing with the situation, saying that he was "600 miles away" and would not be able to help me. All that said, the stay was still very enjoyable and I would love to book it again for the views alone. Just needs to work on the communication portion of the listing.

Amazing property and views...very clean. Coming from the flatlands of Louisiana, it was a different world and a little bit of a scary drive but well worth it...literally, a mountaintop view!

The highlight of our visit was meeting Ashely, a 7th generation resident of the area and as sweet as a young gal can be. The just a little bit rustic cabin, with the natural banisters along the stairway, up to the loft, to the wood stove, which burned all night, to the beautiful overlook, made our short stay worth it

The cabin is super nice, more than good for adults (In my opnion, no good for families with kids). 2 beds, confortable, kitchen and the best of all, just the view. Peace forest lookup, balcony, to breath and forgot everything in your vacations. For me, the hot-tub its a must in my vacations, and we love it. Fireplace lovely warm the cabin, but we visit it in spring, and second night was warm enough for do not need the fireplace (bummer). We were a little scare of the car access (because of the narrow roads), but the instructions were absolutly firendly and clear and we do not have any regrets to choose this cabine. We drive to many waterfalls during the day, very convinient location, and we cook every night, just we bring everyhting we wanted. Thank you, we love it. By the way, pet friendly, and our dog love it too, we bring our own dog's blankets and she enjoy it as much as us. Thanks for allow my dog.

The cabin itself is beautiful which makes the lack of hospitality from the hosts a shame. At sunset on our first night, we lost power. We reached out to the hosts, they simply wrote “welcome to the mountains.” We wrote back and asked where back up light sources were kept & they responded “we have oil lamps there but not sure if they oil in them”- which they did not. There were 2 small flashlights, but only one with batteries. We asked again if they could call us or bring us some extra light to which they responded “when this happens, most of us will simply go to sleep and all will be well in the morning…Embrace it. Enjoy. Off to bed myself.” Being our first vacation in 2 years, we didn’t want to go to bed at 9pm and there’s nothing to embrace about being in a pitch black cabin in the middle of the woods unable to finish cooking dinner or enjoy anything for the rest of the evening. We figured we would hear from them the next day at the very least to check on us or to bring some back up light sources, but we never heard from them at all. Their 80 slide welcome packet is very thorough, so we thought it was odd they never mentioned losing power as a common occurrence for their property. Had we know this in advance we could’ve brought lights in preparation, or chosen another property if we didn’t want this risk at hand. This is a shame because the location, cabin itself, and views were beautiful.

We enjoyed getting away from it all at this mountain getaway with incredible views. We actually commented that the interior was even bigger and more well-appointed than the listing made it look. The views over the mountains were incredible each day and one night we watched a storm roll in over the mountains from the comfort of the hot tub. A fantastic stay!

The only tough part was the uphill climb to the cabin but it was well worth the views! Everything was so easy and our GPS kept us right on track. We had a great time and definitely planning on coming back! Thank you for a great weekend!

This was the peaceful retreat that my husband and I were looking for. The wood stove was perfect for sone chilly nights. And the sunset views were amazing. The community lake was larger than expected and also very pretty. Owners were quick to respond when we had an issue and promptly helped us resolve it. Just lovely!

The cabin is super nice, more than good for adults (In my opnion, no good for families with kids). 2 beds, confortable, kitchen and the best of all, just the view. Peace forest lookup, balcony, to breath and forgot everything in your vacations. For me, the hot-tub its a must in my vacations, and we love it. Fireplace lovely warm the cabin, but we visit it in spring, and second night was warm enough for do not need the fireplace (bummer). We were a little scare of the car access (because of the narrow roads), but the instructions were absolutly firendly and clear and we do not have any regrets to choose this cabine. We drive to many waterfalls during the day, very convinient location, and we cook every night, just we bring everyhting we wanted. Thank you, we love it. By the way, pet friendly, and our dog love it too, we bring our own dog's blankets and she enjoy it as much as us. Thanks for allow my dog.

The cabin itself is STUNNING. It's nice and remote, and it's a nice step away from the "real world." When we got there, there was some leftover food and drink from the previous renters, but nothing gross or to be upset over. The hot tub is wonderful and so is the cabin. That said, the communication needs help. You will receive a VERY long PowerPoint, but still leaves questions and you will be constantly consulting said PowerPoint. On top of this, I had an issue where the road was blocked leaving the property and the power went out. While this is not the owners' fault in the slightest, one of the owners was very rude in dealing with the situation, saying that he was "600 miles away" and would not be able to help me. All that said, the stay was still very enjoyable and I would love to book it again for the views alone. Just needs to work on the communication portion of the listing.

The cabin itself is beautiful which makes the lack of hospitality from the hosts a shame. At sunset on our first night, we lost power. We reached out to the hosts, they simply wrote “welcome to the mountains.” We wrote back and asked where back up light sources were kept & they responded “we have oil lamps there but not sure if they oil in them”- which they did not. There were 2 small flashlights, but only one with batteries. We asked again if they could call us or bring us some extra light to which they responded “when this happens, most of us will simply go to sleep and all will be well in the morning…Embrace it. Enjoy. Off to bed myself.” Being our first vacation in 2 years, we didn’t want to go to bed at 9pm and there’s nothing to embrace about being in a pitch black cabin in the middle of the woods unable to finish cooking dinner or enjoy anything for the rest of the evening. We figured we would hear from them the next day at the very least to check on us or to bring some back up light sources, but we never heard from them at all. Their 80 slide welcome packet is very thorough, so we thought it was odd they never mentioned losing power as a common occurrence for their property. Had we know this in advance we could’ve brought lights in preparation, or chosen another property if we didn’t want this risk at hand. This is a shame because the location, cabin itself, and views were beautiful.

We were Amazed At this property It was the coziest cabin with the best view! Hot tub felt so good and we got to watch the snowfall while in it. Small bit but snow. fireplace was wonderful. The host were amazing. We came a day early and rented 1 of there tiny cabins. It was unbelievable. Very cozy & comfy. It's a must try if you've never been to 1. We will be returning often

Spotted Rock was the perfect place to recharge. The first drive up to the property was a bit hair-raising but worth it! The view is stunning and the cabin is so cute and well-appointed. Pisgah Nat’l Forest and Mtn Bridge Wilderness area are close by for fantastic hiking. Good restaurants in Brevard. I hope to come back when it’s cool enough to use the wood stove!

This place was perfect for us. If you are looking for a nice little get-a-way with a view this place is perfect. It is very close to hiking and waterfalls. The view from the back deck is awesome. Sunsets were great. This area is so scenic.

Arrived to find no toilet paper! Cabin was clean, wood stove seemed cumbersome, so we didn't use it. Hot tub was nice- right outside the door. View was splendid. Cabin is remote and I wouldn't want to attempt the drive without having a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Kitchen is well stocked. Stove is gas and was turned off when we got there, but my husband knew what to do ( I'm not familiar with gas appliances ). Bed was comfortable. Cabin is somewhat dated and I would give it a higher rating if it were spruced up.

Amazing property and views...very clean. Coming from the flatlands of Louisiana, it was a different world and a little bit of a scary drive but well worth it...literally, a mountaintop view!

The place was very comfortable, bed was amazing views were spectacular!! One thing that would be helpful is a working lighter for fireplace . Would definitely stay there again close to nearby Brevard.

Worst cabin I've stayed at. The A/C couldn't cool the place down and froze overnight twice, the water went out two days into our stay. Instead of apologizing, the host wasn't helpful, remotely changed the thermostat, told us to open the windows, and said we could cancel and find some where else if it doesn't work for us. Requested A/C repairs but wouldn't be there until after our stay. Check-in required reading a 75-page PDF full of rules, plus you're expected to take your own trash home despite a 150 cleaning fee or you'll be charged 10 a bag. The listing never mentioned that 4WD is highly recommended. I struggled getting up the steep gravel driveway in my FWD CR-V. Overall, terrible experience with an unhelpful host. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Host Jonathan was fantastic and helpful. Quiet, cozy cabin that was very clean. The views from the back deck are amazing. Had a wonderful time with my family and dog. Will definitely come back.

This was our second stay at the spotted rock. Everything was as great and we brought 4 wheel drive this time to make the drive up easy. It wasn’t as clean as the first visit.

Had an incredible weekend at spotted rock as first time visitors! Cabin was clean, had amazing views, and a perfect hot tub. Great place for a couples weekend or family getaway. We will be coming back!
