Lovely bed and breakfast on a beautiful, quiet property close to Minnewaska State Park, filled with loads of mountains and hikes! Check and check out was easy, the breakfast spread was great, and the rooms are large and comfy, complete with all the amenities you would dream of for a little upstate escape. The sauna, jacuzzi bathtubs, and fire pit were an added bonus. Highly recommend!

A perfect stay for a few days upstate. A few miles from New Paltz town. The property is beautifully kept. The electric fireplace in the room was an excellent addition.

Very clean and quiet, beautiful property, Central air, 24hour access to coffee/tea, microwave. 2 friendly outside cats. Beautiful dining/living are. Comfortable bed. Breakfast had fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal, and packaged bagels and muffins, all acceptable.

The large home feeling was picturesque and cozy. We loved sitting by the fireplace in the living room on a snowy afternoon. Although the website photos showed a full kitchen that one could cook in, the actual kitchenette facilities were fine for a microwaved evening meal. The large dining table and utensils, plus the food, fruit and beverages offered for breakfast were all great. The refrigerator in the bedroom allowed for good cold storage. Comfortable bed and pillows, sufficient blankets. Good heater in the bedroom as well. Bathroom supplies all good. Suggestions for the host: 1. Instructions for various devices would be very helpful. We struggled for a long time till we could get the TV working, and other guests said the same thing. Not everyone instinctively knows what multiple remotes do or how the channels in your particular area work. Were we supposed to sign in with our own Netflix account? Never figured that out on our own. 2. Bright light from the living room shown into our bedroom the whole night. A sleep mask could help or the host could put blackout curtains on the balcony door (similar to the great blackout curtains on the outside windows). (Or leave instructions for guests to turn out lights in public areas.) Over all, it's a nice place, and both the host and guests were friendly in this cozy atmosphere.

Property owner is not on site. Checking in with code was successful, but no air conditioning was on in the house. We did eventually get in touch with the owner, who turned the A/c on remotely. The room we were assigned to never cooled off, and the owner offered a second bedroom to change to. Breakfast was not a home-cooked meal, but self-serve items such as cereal, fruit, yogurt, packaged bagels, cookies. Keurig Coffee maker and tea selection available. Very limited protein option other than yogurt. The owner did response when I asked for some protein options, and added a plate of sliced cheddar cheese to the refrigerated display case in the morning. The property itself was lovely, with big bedrooms and baths. But, it was way out in the middle of nowhere, and felt pretty isolated. There are cats in the premises and although they are suppose to be “outside cats”, they easily got into the house anytime a door was opened. We are highly allergic to cats, and were affected in all the rooms. Most of the rooms are on the second floor, and require suitcases to be carried up a long stairway. Be aware of which room you book. Many previous high recommendations were from the era that this B&B was run by a couple living onsite.

We would have liked to see a TV in the main den/ living area( had a fireplace that did not work with the remote) Breakfast was just ok. Appreciated the fresh blueberries (No sink area) . Very large eating area/table to gather was especially nice. I would recommend to stay at Moondance ....property manager very responsive and nice.

A lovely hidden gem! My partner and I loved staying here. So close to downtown proper of New Paltz, but just outside enough to enjoy the quiet and solitude. Pablo makes the house and the stay warm, clean, safe and comfortable. The sauna is amazing! Highly recommend!

I didn't like the steep stairs to our room. We took clothes out of our larger suitcase and carried them upstairs. We could not carry it up the stairs and there was no elevator. This should be disclosed on the website.

A different sort of B&B—self-service breakfast. Owner/manager was cordial, interesting. Huge common room included the breakfast area, big patio for nice weather enjoyment, TV, interesting art on the walls. Breakfast options were okay—bagels, English muffins, cereal—nothing special.

I feel like it was falsely advertised. Staff was available, but I did not like that. The thermostat had to be controlled remotely by someone else instead of One being in the room. When you walk inside the house, it smells really weird. It was very cold the first night and took a long time for the heat to warm up. There was a dog there on the second day barking for a long time. There was not many breakfast options. Only prepackaged food. I feel like when you’re staying there, you should know who else is staying in other rooms in the house. Felt more like a hostel instead of a bed-and-breakfast.

The property was beautiful and the accommodations were extremely, clean and comfortable. I was surprised, however, that I didn't see any staff members during my entire stay, and the breakfast consisted of a bag of sliced bread. The check-in process was very confusing and disorganized. I expected better from a B&B.

When I booked it was advertised as a bed n breakfast. Very disappointed when we weren’t greeted by the amazing women Expedia’s reviews praised. The facility was clean, the shower and tub were good and there was an outdoor sauna but we never saw the owner, only spoke over the phone, and we’re greeted by the cleaning women. In the morning there was only a continental breakfast and no one around to talk to. Not a bed n breakfast!!! Very disappointed since it was our 55th wedding anniversary and I was soooo looking forward to the gourmet breakfast and the sweet ladies company. I should have been notified of the change in the facility!! Nothing against the owner.. I have my complaint against Expedia!! Won’t be using this site to book any longer!! Warning to all. Be careful with Expedia!!!

We had a great stay. The breakfast options left much to be desired but it wasn’t terrible. Just grab n go stuff. The rooms were great and ours had a jacuzzi. The location was very secluded and perfect for a quiet getaway from the city. I would stay again if I’m in the area.

This is a lovely small hotel with nicely decorated rooms. It was very quiet; we rarely saw other guests or staff, which made it feel nicely private. Breakfast, while simple, was perfectly adequate and actually available all day. The only thing I didn't like is that the bed is really high; I'm very short and could have used a small step stool to climb in with ! But it was very comfortable and we slept well. This was a nostalgic trip for us, as we used to own one of the houses next door (40 years ago!), so having a lovely place to stay in this so familiar neighborhood was really special.
This is a lovely small hotel with nicely decorated rooms. It was very quiet; we rarely saw other guests or staff, which made it feel nicely private. Breakfast, while simple, was perfectly adequate and actually available all day. The only thing I didn't like is that the bed is really high; I'm very short and could have used a small step stool to climb in with ! But it was very comfortable and we slept well. This was a nostalgic trip for us, as we used to own one of the houses next door (40 years ago!), so having a lovely place to stay in this so familiar neighborhood was really special.

We had a great stay at the Moondance. Loved the big ole jetted tub in the Moondance Suite! The bed was comfy and the room spacious. The breakfast was simple, bagels and other baked goods, with some fruit and DIY fresh squeezed orange juice. We'll definitely be back.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The rate was very reasonable, and with the 24/7 Continental Breakfast, it is a real deal. The room was spacious and had a door out to the front porch, which was convenient. The owner was friendly and provided several good dining options.

We stayed in Room 5, it is clean and a great room. Reminds us of Longfellows Inn where we were married. Cannot wait to come back. Pablo was friendly and helpful. Wonderful property.

To be honest, nothing is in the picture, but the worst thing was that check in was for 3 , me and my partner arrived at 4 pm and the room wasn’t clean, we found the cleaning lady inside. So we couldn’t go in till 5 pm . The room isn’t like in the picture, the tv was in the back of the room . No one in the house and no microwave in the room and no microwave in the dining room. No communication at all , no body care for us . We stayed the night with a bad energy from the cleaning lady and the man who was responsible for this , his name Pablo , and we left our stay at 10 pm to come back home . It was a nightmare. Never go back , I don’t recommend to no one. The worst experience ever. We went for relax and was the opposite.

The property was beautiful and the accommodations were extremely, clean and comfortable. I was surprised, however, that I didn't see any staff members during my entire stay, and the breakfast consisted of a bag of sliced bread. The check-in process was very confusing and disorganized. I expected better from a B&B.

Property owner is not on site. Checking in with code was successful, but no air conditioning was on in the house. We did eventually get in touch with the owner, who turned the A/c on remotely. The room we were assigned to never cooled off, and the owner offered a second bedroom to change to. Breakfast was not a home-cooked meal, but self-serve items such as cereal, fruit, yogurt, packaged bagels, cookies. Keurig Coffee maker and tea selection available. Very limited protein option other than yogurt. The owner did response when I asked for some protein options, and added a plate of sliced cheddar cheese to the refrigerated display case in the morning. The property itself was lovely, with big bedrooms and baths. But, it was way out in the middle of nowhere, and felt pretty isolated. There are cats in the premises and although they are suppose to be “outside cats”, they easily got into the house anytime a door was opened. We are highly allergic to cats, and were affected in all the rooms. Most of the rooms are on the second floor, and require suitcases to be carried up a long stairway. Be aware of which room you book. My sisters and I were meeting for a sisters get-away. This bed and breakfast was extremely nice. The price was perfect, there was food available, and it was clean. It is smaller but very comfortable and quiet. I would recommend the Moondance Ridge Bed and Breakfast.

We would have liked to see a TV in the main den/ living area( had a fireplace that did not work with the remote) Breakfast was just ok. Appreciated the fresh blueberries (No sink area) . Very large eating area/table to gather was especially nice. I would recommend to stay at Moondance ....property manager very responsive and nice.

Somewhat impersonal since it’s a self check in with packaged breakfast goods in the morning. When we had an issue with AC, we were able to call and get it improved. To be honest, not that much difference from a basic hotel.

We had a great stay. The breakfast options left much to be desired but it wasn’t terrible. Just grab n go stuff. The rooms were great and ours had a jacuzzi. The location was very secluded and perfect for a quiet getaway from the city. I would stay again if I’m in the area.

Lovely bed and breakfast on a beautiful, quiet property close to Minnewaska State Park, filled with loads of mountains and hikes! Check and check out was easy, the breakfast spread was great, and the rooms are large and comfy, complete with all the amenities you would dream of for a little upstate escape. The sauna, jacuzzi bathtubs, and fire pit were an added bonus. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed there because we were going to a wedding. My only complaint was that my wife and I couldn't enjoy this beautiful B & B. For a quiet, a little rustic, out of the way lodging, go there and you will be undoubtedly impressed. We're definitely going back for the Fall season.

A lovely hidden gem! My partner and I loved staying here. So close to downtown proper of New Paltz, but just outside enough to enjoy the quiet and solitude. Pablo makes the house and the stay warm, clean, safe and comfortable. The sauna is amazing! Highly recommend!

I didn’t see any staff during my stay so I cannot leave a comment about them. Overall, my stay was enjoyable for the most part. I wish my room was air conditioned. It was a bit warm. I think for the price, air conditioning would have been a nice thing to have. The dining area was great. It was clean, always fully stocked and air conditioned. The only negative thing I’d have to say other than the lack of A/C in my room was that my shower head height adjuster was broken and I had to lean down to take a shower which wasn’t comfortable. It needs to be repaired. I’d say it was a bit overpriced but id recommend a stay there. I did enjoy the two cats I’d run into outside in the parking lot. They were cute and very friendly.
I didn’t see any staff during my stay so I cannot leave a comment about them. Overall, my stay was enjoyable for the most part. I wish my room was air conditioned. It was a bit warm. I think for the price, air conditioning would have been a nice thing to have. The dining area was great. It was clean, always fully stocked and air conditioned. The only negative thing I’d have to say other than the lack of A/C in my room was that my shower head height adjuster was broken and I had to lean down to take a shower which wasn’t comfortable. It needs to be repaired. I’d say it was a bit overpriced but id recommend a stay there. I did enjoy the two cats I’d run into outside in the parking lot. They were cute and very friendly.

The pillows are terrible and need to be changed. Additionally the shampoo was terrible and the breakfast was nothing to desired.

Nice big room, comfortable bed. Everything very clean and well appointed. 24/7 Continental breakfast was so convenient with a wide variety of choices to meet everyone’s needs, including gluten-free, dairy, free, etc. The outdoor deck is getting a little worn, but perfectly comfortable with nice seating. Really enjoyed how the room opened onto the front deck if you wanted to pop outside real quick or sit out at the table. It was a lovely spot very close to town. Really a great place to stay.
