Good location and parking but immediately next to a very busy street and windows were NOT double paned as far as I could tell. Coffee maker great, however no regular coffee in room, only decaf, and office was across 2 major streets. Nice bathroom, heater worked for cold-blooded me, 2 blankets available. TV worked but channel choices was limited. Bikes available and a great area to walk with a beautiful view of downtown San Diego and a great area to walk- beautiful neighborhoods nearby.

This is a fine place— clean and decent accommodations. The pool is across a unique crosswalk that has insane traffic so just be aware it is off site. The office is also off site and parking is 10 dollars a day. Though there is ample street parking, the street is insanely crowded with traffic during the day. Lots of great stuff is walkable. Totally fine but I wouldn’t recommend with kids.

The hotel sits at a traffic intersection, busy and noisy all night long. check in was across the intersection. Parking cost $10/d. And, WiFi was spotty. Won’t be going back or recommending.

This is an adjunct property for the Coronado Inn, which is across the street diagonally. That's where you check in and get amenities. It takes crossing two major streets (Third and Orange) to get there. There was a cute patio outside our room with tables and chairs, but it was too cold to use it this time. There is a kitchenette, but the stove doesn't work because there is no longer a gas line to the building. The climate unit was very new, but never gave us anything more than lukewarm air, so it was a little chilly. The king bed was up against the corner, so it was difficult for the inside person to get in and out. The shower was small, but the only problem with that was there was no place to put soap, shampoo, etc. We had to step out to retrieve it from the sink. There were also a couple of small steps in unexpected places, so it was important to really be careful when you went in or out of the bathroom. Lastly, the room was right on the corner, so we had street noise from both Orange and Third. Still, it was affordable and the bed was comfortable. Nothing I mentioned above was a deal breaker. You get what you pay for.

The property sits on the corner of two major roads, one into the base which makes parking difficult to exit and a little noisy. My real displeasure was the parking. Expedia and others said the hotel had free parking but when I arrived, I was informed parking would be $10. per day. I know it’s not a lot but that wasn’t what was advertised.

SPEND THE EXTRA $$$ & STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE PLEASE!!! Check-in across the street ~ no mention of using their pool/bikes or having breakfast there ... I think it was a housekeeper manning the front! She wore latex gloves! The room smelled of mold - there was an A/C unit - WIFI was out of range - TV reception included CNN and no other channels came in clear - stray black hairs on bathroom floor/toilet & shower - tiny shower stall - concrete painted floor with other colors of paint & stains/spills - worst of all BED BUGS on my bed but not my husbands ... I have pictures!!!

From the outside, this property looks quaint, nice, and inviting. However, the room condition was bad. The bed frames are cheap and squeak terribly with every move. There was hair all over the linens, the flooring was cracked and had a bad soft spot, there was a huge stain in the ceiling with what looked like the presence of mold, and in general, the room was dirty and not well cared for. I've stayed at a lot of good and bad places, but for the price, this was unacceptable. We checked out after night one and moved to another similarly priced Hilton property and never looked back.

The room was spacious and the bed was comfy for a hotel bed. However, the 3 windows that faced the parking lot were awful for headlights. The noise from the street was insane. The light above the door outside lit up the room like it was daylight. The giant spider we killed in the bathroom was gross. The bathroom smelled liked mildew. 100% would not stay here.

Clean and comfortable room, but it is on a busy street corner. It got very noisy during rush hour traffic. It's a great location, though, walkable to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Run down, noise all day and night. Bright lights come through odd door windows. Beds creek when moving. TVs outdated and no instructions on how to use. WiFi was down the entire time. Located between the busiest streets in Coronado.

Location is amazing. And that’s it. The size of the room is good. The bathroom is extremely small. Shower took a long time to get warm (not hot). AC heater doesn’t work, there’s a room heater that makes noise but it works. It’s a place to spend one night (like I did) and that’s it. I would consider just for location, stop and go.

Very BAD experience. We booked the hotel for a the first night of a honeymoon get way. Traffic was loud we hardly slept, it sounded like car were driving through our room, bed was very uncomfortable and super squeaky. And to make things even worse no hot water for showers in the morning. Ask to speak with the GM but they couldn’t troubled to call us back. Definitely will not go back

My experience with this hotel was awful ; upon check in I was told the parking lot was full and I had to park on the street. When I arrived at my room I had requested a double bed since we were a party of 3. When I went back to the front desk to let them know I was placed in the wrong room since it only had one bed, I was told they had overbooked the hotel and there were no more rooms available. I requested to speak to the manager which I was told wouldn’t be there until the next morning and that I had to speak to the 3rd party we booked the room with to see what they could do as there was we nothing else they could do there . After contacting Hotels.com and Speaking to a representative they were able to assist us with placing elsewhere or to get a refund since the hotel wasn’t answering their calls . Very unprofessional motel . I would never book a room there or recommend to anyone for that matter

I requested to speak to the manager which I was told wouldn’t be there until the next morning and that I had to speak to the 3rd party we booked the room with to see what they could do as there was we nothing else they could do there . After contacting Hotels.com and Speaking to a representative they were able to assist us with placing elsewhere or to get a refund since the hotel wasn’t answering their calls . Very unprofessional motel . I would never book a room there or recommend to anyone for that matter

Samanta at reception was very helpful. Even though I couldn’t go on the scheduled day, they gave me the opportunity to postpone it to the next day at no extra cost. I’ll be back for sure.

Pros: Reasonable walk to the ferry. Cheap for the island though still over-priced. Recently renovated bathroom. Assigned parking. Comfortable beds. Cons: The walls/ceiling are paper thin. There were really no staff to help with anything. The reception staff unwrapped packages delivered to us at the hotel and looked at the contents on more than one occasion. When we complained about the night club levels of noise happening at midnight above us they said there was nothing they could do about it. The rooms were tiny and cramped so much so that one of the double beds in our room had to be rotated 90 degrees from the other to fit in the room. The ac was more like a weak fan and the room was not cleaned well. It wasn’t filthy but not as clean as I expect at a hotel. The rooms face the major street. In addition to traffic noise, the street lights are bright and the rooms do not have blackout curtains. The regular blinds did not suffice. It felt like day light all night. It was difficult to sleep. Note: to check into this place you have to cross a couple of roads to get to a different hotel reception where you check in.

Colorado Island Inn's landmark is awesome, unfortunately, although it is an assigned parking, pulling out, either you back out or face, it is quite risky. It goes where the traffic flows. It is a good inn, but it was not worth the price.

Good location and parking but immediately next to a very busy street and windows were NOT double paned as far as I could tell. Coffee maker great, however no regular coffee in room, only decaf, and office was across 2 major streets. Nice bathroom, heater worked for cold-blooded me, 2 blankets available. TV worked but channel choices was limited. Bikes available and a great area to walk with a beautiful view of downtown San Diego and a great area to walk- beautiful neighborhoods nearby.

Clean and comfortable room, but it is on a busy street corner. It got very noisy during rush hour traffic. It's a great location, though, walkable to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The floor of the bathroom is soft and feels like it has a hole in it. It has duct tape for repair. I’m assuming to try and prevent water to seep into the subfloor. Parking is atrocious. You have to pay for parking but they don’t have enough parking for guest’s. So you have to park on the street. Good luck with that.

I dropped my phone in an Uber and the hotel desk staff went out of their way to help me recover it. Girls that work the front desk were very helpful. Pretty nice place!

Kudos to Cheryl @the Front Desk...her professional & accommodating manner was appreciated. I had a noise issue during she was able solve providing me with a good night's sleep. The property is conveniently located to Ferry Pier as well as a fantastic brewing company & nearby restaurants within walking distance. Definitely will stay again.
