Schöne Sauna, das ein oder andere könnte mal renoviert werden..

Leicht in die Jahre gekommen aber immer noch empfehlenswert und preiswert. Schade, dass die Bar zu hatte.

The room was clean and the area was quiet. Märkisches Museum U-Bahn station was right outside the hotel which was very convenient. The mini bar included bottles of waters and beers on the first day but had to be collected from the front desk for the rest of the stay. The sauna was good, although it would have been better if the hours were more flexible - it's between 4pm and 11pm. Overall a good hotel for the price, would stay again!

Charming staff. The room had these hidden knickknacks and clever ways to put away your clothes, which was great. They had bicycles that were easy to use and that was a great day renting them. Pretty good location, near museum Island, and nice restaurants along the canal. Overall, an outdated hotel. One of the two elevators was out of service so we found ourselves lucky if we didn’t have to wait a few minutes to get on the elevator. They didn’t bring us new coffee when they cleaned our rooms. They missed cleaning out room one of the four nights we were there. Coffee was instant coffee in a pouch which was OK. There was one packet of hot chocolate. Our toilet didn’t flush and the plumber wasn’t available until Monday when it was stopped on a Saturday. Luckily it went down on its own.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit tollem, kleinen Wellnessbereich (Sauna Dampfbad). Die Zimmer waren super, einzig das Frühstück wurde dem recht hohen Preis von 18 EUR p.P. nicht ganz gerecht. Dann lieber für das Geld in der Umgebung in einem Cafe frühstücken.

Die Lage und das Zimmer waren perfekt. Ich habe sogar ein Upgrade bekommen. Der Empfangsmitarbeiter vom 30. November nachmittags/abends war wirklich zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Die Sauna und das Dampfbad waren gut temperiert. Danke dafür🙏

Service was great. All the staff were very friendly & helpful, with everyone speaking very good English. The free water & beer was great & the Christmas gifts left on our door on our last day was an excellent touch. Great location with everything accessible via the underground station, if needed to travel a bit further. However, some things need a bit of attention. The bathroom suite needed upgrading & some days there was a strange smell. During our 7 day stay only one lift was working. Would definitely recommend this hotel & definitely consider staying here again if we come back to Berlin.

Mycket bra läge med buss direkt från centralstationen. Trevlig personal. Rummet hade äldre stil på inredningen men var rent och rymligt med sköna sängar. Toaletterna i entrén hade behövts städas bättre.

Bis auf den Geruch aus einem Abfluß im Bad war alles ok. Super Location, U Bahnhof um die Ecke, Einkaufsgelegenheit nur 300m weg, also besser gehts kaum.

Nice hotel although a little behind style wise (old decor/furnishings in the rooms) it still had a good feel and was clean

The stay was overall good with the front desk staff taking the gold star for helpful and friendliness. The room was spacious and clean but I do have a couple of comments. The TV in front of the bed, the power supply next to the outside TV, the safe deposit box and the hand soap dispenser did not work. But thank you for a comfortable stay.

1st want to correct my checkin review. Staff mistakes told me that stays longer than 7 days will only have room cleaning once a week & that I had no option about this! Hotel quickly corrected this and cleaned my room everyday after I informed management. Hotel potential to again be 4* is good. My room was actually well planned with 4 bottles of drink in fridge & coffee/tea pot for every night and great wifi. Love its steam room. Staff & location close to Ubahn are topnotch. Great shower & excellent toiletries including body lotion. 2 English speaking TV channels;-) I do understand completely the hard economic recession wonderful Berlin has been thru. It has outdated features that really need fixing up. 1. with global warming, no ac made 7/10 nights unbearable. Need to get room ac's back even if they're small room units during hot days to make booking this hotel worth it. 2. had 1 frayed hand towel with a hole, a no-no in a 4*hotel. Need old thin towels thrown out for better quality ones. 3. upgrade in-hotel restaurant menu 4. there were days the toilet had a horrible sewer stench. frequent flushing seemed to prevent this but not all the time. 1 time without using the toilet, the horrible stench just came out of what appears to be a clean toilet that was covered, maybe stench from next door room. I had a room with a river view, and it was amazing. The room was big and clean with everything you need. Very clean and comfortable. Check-in was very easy and quick. Breakfast is good, including good coffee. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Helt fint, værelser med udsigt til indersiden er pæne, men man kan ikke åbne vinduer og mærke vejret på nogen måde

My stay for 2 nights was good, however, a few small things were annoying. Had to open window for fresh cool air (no A/C), really noisy street at night, no black out curtains with lots of streetlights shining in, only 2 English channels (CNN, BBC), would be nice to have a couple of English movie channels, no bottle opener in room to open courtesy water and beer bottles, an expensive (18 Euros) breakfast that did not look so good. It all could have been better with a little thought put into it. Bottom line - go somewhere else next time!

One of the Worst Hotel Experiences – Avoid at All Costs My stay at Living Hotel Großer Kurfürst was deeply disappointing and stressful. During my visit, around $650 in cash was stolen from my wallet inside my hotel room while housekeeping was cleaning. I had stepped out briefly to give them space, only to return and find my money gone. This happened in what should have been a secure environment. The hotel staff was shockingly unhelpful. There was no real urgency or support. I was never advised to file a police report—I had to do that myself, in a foreign country, without any hotel assistance. This wasn’t the only issue. My room was missing amenities I had paid for, and the overall quality didn’t match what was advertised. It felt careless and misleading. In short, this hotel failed to protect its guests and deliver on basic promises. I left feeling stressed, unsafe, and incredibly dissatisfied. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

There was too much noise, showerhead and drainage didn't work, tried to make me pay twice for city tax, door didn't work and reception service was horrible.

Lage: Sehr gut, sehr zentral Personal beim Checkin: Sehr nett und zuvorkommend Zimmer: Wir hatten ein Businesszimmer zum Atrium, das Fenster ließ sich nicht öffnen, der Raum war total überhitzt, man konnte die Klimaanlage aber wegen des Zugs nicht die ganze Nacht laufen lassen. Hotel insgesamt: Das ganze Hotel war total überhitzt, es gab scheinbar kaum Luftaustausch. Ja, es ist Sommer, aber ab und zu mal durchlüften kann nicht schaden. Frühstück: Räumlichkeiten zu klein, Rührei nur gegen Aufpreis (4,50 €), Frühstück kostet regulär bereits 18 €. Immerhin konnte man sich frische Waffeln backen. Personal beim Checkout: Was soll ich sagen? Der Angestellte gähnt mich mit weit aufgerissenem Mund an, popelt mehrfach in der Nase und bedient mit diesen Fingern dann die Tastatur (die armen Kolleg*innen der nächsten Schicht ...) und überreicht mir damit auch die Rechnung. Das habe ich so noch nicht erlebt. Parken: ca. 150 m entfernt. Wenn es bei unserer Ankunft nicht in Strömen geregnet hätte, wäre das kein Problem gewesen... Positiv zu erwähnen: Es gibt eine kostenlose Minibar (Wasser und Bier), die täglich aufgefüllt wird.

The staff at Living Hotel Großer Kurfürst were always attentive to my questions. They kindly helped me mail postcards and stored my bags when I arrived before check-in time. The room I had was spacious, particularly the bathroom. There was a nice view of the Spree from my room. The hotel is in an ideal location. Each morning, I could get a coffee and sit on a bench near the water. The Märkisches Museum station is adjacent to the hotel, and there are a number of buses nearby. Hard Wax and Tresor are a short walk away if you are into electronic music, especially techno! There's also Káffee Büro close by and Besh is not too far for delicious food. In the evenings, the hotel is very quiet, and I was able to get really good sleep.

Hotel has good location very close the Museum Island and other important places. Personnel was friendly. Our reservation was queen size big bed. However, we had given a room with not comfortable twin beds which the ladies tried to combine somehow. Reception told us that they don’t have rooms with queen size bed which is difficult to understand. Otherwise the hotel has overall good standings.

Close to U Bahn station and centrally placed to walk anywhere. Aircon was the German standard, not quite enough

This was a lovely stay! The area was quiet (considering there was construction on the street) and the service was very warm and considerate. I would stay here again. I don't recommend it for individuals looking for a lively night life, and would recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing Berlin trip.

Fint hotell som lå veldig sentralt. Liten hyggelig bar med en veldig flink og trivelig bartender. Vi kosa oss 😀

Helpful friendly staff, who could all speak good English. Didn't opt for breakfast, as very expensive compared to other hotels. Before coming here we stayed in Potsdam, where the breakfast was about half the cost, so we included it in our stay. Very close underground link, which we used many times. Nice area, with a lot of sites within easy walking distance. This was our 2nd stay here & would recommend, but bathroom needs some TLC.

Wir hatten ein Allergiker Zimmer zum Innenbereich (Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen, dafür mit Klimaanlage und Frischluftzufuhr). Das Zimmer war sehr hellhörig, da die Gespräche und Geräusche in der Lobby, Empfang, Bar (bis Mitternacht) sowie dem Frühstücksbereich sehr stark wahrzunehmen waren. Schallabsorber etc. für den Schallschutz wären sinnvoll. Betten etwas in die Jahre gekommen und durchgelegen. Die Stühle in den Zimmern und im Frühstücksraum sollten mit Filzgleiter versehen werden. Das Frühstück überteuert und für 4* etwas mickrig. Brötchen nicht knusprig und O-Saft nicht schmackhaft. Der Service im Frühstücksbereich sehr freundlich. Die Lage und Umgebung des Hotels sehr zu empfehlen.

Prima hotel voor een nacht. Airco werkt eigenlijk niet, dus op een warme avond/nacht is het moeilijk slapen. Bed is wel prima op zich. Relatief kleine kamer. Relatief grote badkamer. Wel gedateerd en sommige dingen zaten los. Minibar met gratis twee water en twee bier. Receptie erg vriendelijk en attent. Ontbijt zeer karig en beperkte ruimte.
