Hochabel Hotel

This is older property that has been nicely updated. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. There were only two problems. There was standing water in the parking area making it nearly impossible to get from the car to the room without wading in water and there was not enough sound proofing between the rooms. The next room was playing the tv all night. All in all, it was worth the rate and I would likely stay there again for one night while traveling through.

Stay here just to eat dinner at the sports bar. Spectacular steaks and great service.

The best place to stay at anywhere in the state! Super clean. Staff are just amazing people. Restaurant and bar are exceptional!

Loved how close it was to the Idabel Country Club golf course. We went for a tournament and the location was awesome and the restaurant onsite was convenient and very good food/service.

A brand new hotel with clean facilities and a full service restaurant with a bar and good food.

The property is listed as a "Hotel". In reality it is a single story motel akin to a tourist court with a gravel parking lot. I booked (and paid for) a king size room with amenities. When we checked in, we were put in a downgraded room with smaller bed. When I asked for a reimbursement of the difference in value. I was told that I had to get EXPEDIA to respond.

Best NEW hotel in Idabel. Clean, “motel-style” with a nice restaurant and a great value. Not far from resorts, kayaking, river and lake. New mattresses, but they have a plastic cover on them which they should replace with the softer type. Everything else is quite nice for this type of property.

Easy parking, affordable,clean, has a nice and affordable restaurant next door.

Check in was a breeze thanks to the welcoming young lady behind the counter. The room smelled great with a hint of fresh saw dust (due to being new const.) which was very nice in my opinion. Plenty of parking. The on-site restaurant was great! The waitress was very hospitable and the food was absolutely delicious, delicious, delicious.

Very clean, great rate, good customer service. Will stay again next time in town

You can not get ahold of any on the property after 9 p.m. We did not even stay there I had to kill 4 cockroaches in a matter of 10 minutes.

I was really surprised to see that there wasn't many people staying here. Must be that nobody is aware of that this is such a nice place to stay. Our room was immaculate and smelled so nice and fresh. Always stay here when visiting the area.

Amazing and we enjoyed a lot in the stay. Room was very much clean and spacious. Hotel tariff was very less compared to other hotels.

The staff at the main office and restaurant were very warm, welcoming, and friendly. It definitely had a down-home hospitality feel to it. The rooms were generally very clean but LOTS of roly-polies and several (non-venomous) spiders. If I had a suggestion for the managers it would be better bug control, and also to mow the back of the property and clean up the debris piled up behind some of the buildings. The food at the restaurant was pricey, but darned if it wasn't the most awesome stuff I've eaten in a very long time. Wish they had a pool but given the layout, I can understand why they don't.

Wonderful stay with everything we needed. Clean room, good shower, comfortable bed and a good cold ac. We will visit this facility again when we are in the area. Very impressed.

Would’ve been a cute place for a quick one night stay if the room would’ve been properly cleaned. Wet, used towels on the bathtub, a full trash can, a used bar of soap by the sink and a sheet thrown over a dirty chair. The sweet lady that works there told me they had just hired new cleaners and that it would be addressed.

Beautiful property. Everything was nice, new, & clean. Baby tv on the wall- maybe 36” and mini fridge/microwave sat on floor. I thought that should not sit on the floor. However everything was great. Staff was so friendly and hospitable.

Ok. Hear me out. If I had stayed here on a trip to the lake, it would have gotten 5 stars. I was there for a business conference. The room was SO damp that I had to go to my car to finish getting ready and dry my clothes some. There were rubber sheets that didn’t fit the mattress all the way. These made the normal sheets pop off. You couldn’t take the rubber sheets off because they were attached under the mattress. I covered the bed and myself with towels to sleep because is was just so….wet… in the room. If I had come off the lake in the middle of summer, a little tipsy. The room would have been perfect.

Not overly satisfied, room was new and fair, enjoyed the ac and free streaming channels, definite plus. However I was not happy with the ac making loud knock in night sounding like someone trying to burst in front door! I had only about 6 hrs to sleep and I was awakened 3 times. There was a roach, two spiders and a roly poly in the room, for a business that revolves around cleanliness and comfortability, and given the newness of the property I'd have thought this issue should not exist! We all know these critters can be pesky but thats why we have pest control. I rested and went to grab a bite, ambience was okay but when I went to order my first choice for entree was no longer available, nor my first two choices for sides!! This is not what you want to hear when choosing from a menu!!! They were apologetic but at that point I'd have just thrown in a free dessert or something! Food was good and waitress was attentive so no issues there. Upon check in had booked a king but got a double queen, I clearly marked two guests, had to go back to request room I had booked, inconvenient and I had to leave at 430 for a long drive next day of seminars in Dallas, got up had coffee and creamer supplied in room...no cups! Guess you should take a gander before you settle in for the night. All in all fair place to stay, just a little let down. Simple, convenient but nothing over the top. Suppose the stay served my purposes but likely will try somewhere else next go round.

It was over all very nice, everyone was friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable. When we opened the door it smelled like coconut which was wonderful. We loved the wooden floors. The only thing we had a but about was the tv was very small for large room. But the room was large and spaces and very comfortable for two people. The furniture was out dated. It had a small microwave and a small compact refrigerator. Which was sitting on top each other both on the floor. Which was a little hard for us since we both have back issues. But was nice to have. And they both worked. We loved the good food in restaurant which was just a couple feet from the room. For a one night stay we enjoyed it. We will stay there again.

This motel is relatively new so there are some kinks that still need to be worked out. I discussed all of this with the front desk clerk when I checked out. If they don’t know about it, they can’t fix it. My main problem was there wasn’t a mattress pad between the sheet and plastic mattress cover. We woke up several times a night sticking to the sheets. Not comfortable. There was some small equipment issues. The continuous fan switch on the ac unit didn’t work so it was cycling on and off all night. The receiver on the phone didn’t work desk except on speaker when I tried to call the front desk. Overall, it was an ok stay. I’ll probably check to see if they added mattress pads before I book there again though.

First, the good— the room was clean and the staff were uniformly delightful. I enjoyed talking with everyone I met. And the restaurant on the property was so good that we came back for a second meal. The less good— the rooms are minimally equipped. The bed was fine and the linens were nice, but there was literally no place on the room to hang my business clothes (not even a stray hanger to hang over a door) and I had to blow my nose with toilet paper because there wasn’t a box of Kleenex. I also would have loved a chair so I could work at the dresser with my computer. I suspect that this is the best place to stay in Idabel and with a few more small touches, it could be first class.

I love the location! It has direct access to the bypass which was very convenient. I enjoyed the shower, the aesthetic of the rooms were also nice. The vanity was very spacious as well. However, I had a few issues with my stay. One was that I hung up my “please clean this room” sign Saturday morning and I came back Saturday night and no one ever came. Second—the beds. The blankets had some kind of stains on them and I was worried they may not be clean. The sheets were very thin and I could feel the plastic on the mattress when laying on it. Maybe a mattress topper would’ve helped or a more soft sheet maybe? Last—When I went to check out I noticed the door was locked and the lobby appeared closed. I stood knocking for a while and was about to call the number on the door when a cleaning crew who was cleaning another room at the time I was checking out Sunday informed me to place my key in the box. I think it would’ve been helpful for there to be a sign. All in all I’m glad the hotel was here, but I just wished I had a bit better service.

I was here on business and on a previous trip used another local hotel. Hochabel is a new addition to the area, and as such everything was new and clean. But it was more than just new. The service was extraordinary and hospitable like a warm family member. Parking was easy. On site restaurant was fantastic too. A couple small quirky things but for me added to the trip. Won’t be my last visit here.

Nice, clean, quiet place to stay without dealing with Hochatown Sunday morning traffic. Will be staying here from now on. Great food in the restaurant!!

We did not stay. Wheel we arrived no other cars were there. We did not feel safe so we stayed next door at the Comfort Inn. I tried to cancel but it was too late.

We stayed in four rooms here and would stay there again 10/10 rooms and the restaurant’s food was excellent.

The property was amazing staff supper friendly the food at the bar and grill i tried their breakfeast was amasing very filling i split 3 pancakes and loades photatos with my man and it filled us both up
