Was average for what I paid. The bar and restaurant were very nice but seems that they only have updated that portion. Pool was closed in mid summer and also looked run down. The room and hallways were very run down. Windows has no screen and opened (not safe for kids) there was also a bullet hole in the window. It was clean but very run down! Wouldn’t recommend.

Don’t waste your money. Other than comfortable beds that was the extent of anything nice. My pillow was shredded foam, big lumps, terrible. We killed ants in the bed. The bathroom was terrible. My adult girls didn’t even want to go in there to get ready. Cracked sink, stained counter, crumbling ceiling, they painted the tub and it was peeling. Wouldn’t dream of using the tub. Showering was uncomfortable No fan in the bathroom so it’s steamy and then makes the room feel damp. They don’t offer to clean each day or even bring you fresh towels each day and we stayed three nights. asked for towels the 3rd day. Instead of giving them to me they said they’d send them. They never came. after six hours I had to go down three floors again to the other end of the building and get them myself. The lobby and breakfast area looks like a completely different hotel. Totally deceiving. The ice machine is rusted and looks disgusting. Pool is not open in June in 90 degree weather. Staff are not informative. They don’t tell you anything at check in. They don’t share if they have breakfast or when it is. One outlet has something jammed in it so we were scared to use it. The lamps flicker and the shades are yellow and nasty and don’t fit right. I booked and paid through hotels.com so I already paid or I would have left or stayed one night max and went somewhere else. The room conditions ruined the tone of our family outing. I hate to blame hotels.com but I’m leary to use them again

We have stayed at this location on several occasions, however, it's been over a year since our last visit. The property is getting older and it really shows. The pool is closed and the room we had was not the best. Although this was our "go to" place to stay, we are researching other properties for our next visit.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and had plenty of towels. Breakfast was good. There were lots of options. Restaurant was nice and bartenders were very friendly.

Stayed here for a quick overnight and the only positive was the comfortable bed which is really what we needed. Definitely an outdated hotel That’s trying to be revived. Unfortunately, the Fridge didn’t work, the bathroom looked old and outdated, the air was either too cold or too hot and the main elevator was out of service.The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The only working ice machine was on the third floor. We only found one working elevator. It was advertised to have a workout room but didn’t disclose it was under construction and as soon as we checked in to our room it was clear the restroom hadn’t been cleaned and there was hair remaining in the shower. Overall disappointing. We will not be staying here again.

For $100, I should’ve expected what I received. Staff was great, no questions about that. However, the room? Cockroaches in the bathroom, tub wouldn’t drain, got switched to another room down the hall. A/c wouldn’t work and cool the room. This was definitely not quality. Very disappointed in this stay. I wish I could get refunded for my stay because I basically didn’t sleep because I was worried there were more cockroaches. Shower heads in the bathroom were old and looked to be from the 1960s. I’m truly disappointed and this visit has shown me why I may the extra money to stay somewhere nicer

Remodeled but still needs a lot of work! Stained and dirty tub with hair all around. Dingy broken lamp shades. Hallways smell. Breakfast dining area is a plus however the waffle machine was broken.

The hotel is super old and not worth the money we paid. The bed was too soft, the shower you almost needed pliers to turn it off as it kept dripping. The room was dirty on the table, there are ants in the bathroom. No oligarchy bed to plug in phones, I had to unplug clock to plug one in by one side of bed, the other one had to find a plug behind the dresser. We will not stay here ever again and do not recommend this place.

Our room was filthy! The bathroom was dirty with someone’s old sanitary napkin left in the bathroom floor, tub was visibly dirty, carpet dirty , furniture had visible dust, crumbs etc on them. Bed pillows smelled dirty like they hadn’t been replaced or washed ever ! I would not recommend this property to anyone !

Staff was kind enough to switch my room after the the first one smelled like cigarettes. Room looked clean and beds were comfortable👍 Bartender Cherie in the lobby bar was friendly and the cheese curds were pretty good.

On our way home to Michigan and Quality Inn Joliet was our last stay for the day. We enjoyed the conversations with Sandy S the employee at Whiskey River Bar & Grill for the Quality Inn. Thank you Sandy, for being such a great person during our stay.

Front desk staff were on point! Friendly, helpful and all around pleasant. Bathroom was small but the room was ok. The mini fridge was extremely convenient and the AC works almost to well.

The fire alarm went off while we were asleep, i called the front desk got no answer. If it weren't for the neighbor yelling fire qe We wouldn't have known it was real. Requested a wake up call, it never rang. There were messages on the phone so the light was blinking but even after i deleted the measages the light never stopped.

The water was barely luke warm. Could barely move around in the bathroom. Door knob in bathroom was about to fall off. Lump in the middle of one bed. Extremely unorganized at check in. I won’t be back

Checked in, got my room card, room won't open. Red flash on door. Went back to front desk to activate my room again and verified room number. Red flash again. Went back to front desk for 3rd time and no clerk around now. This sucks. I left and went to another hotel. I'm sure I won't get any refund either, because this place sucked.

Checked in, got my room card, room won't open. Red flash on door. Went back to front desk to activate my room again and verified room number. Red flash again. Went back to front desk for 3rd time and no clerk around now. This sucks. I left and went to another hotel. I'm sure I won't get any refund either, because this place sucked.

Room was cleaning and comfortable, but facilities were rundown. Fire doors in south east stairwell would not close, electrical outlets in room, obviously did not meet code. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast Area was well laid out and clean, With a good selection of food.

Remodeled but still needs a lot of work! Stained and dirty tub with hair all around. Dingy broken lamp shades. Hallways smell. Breakfast dining area is a plus however the waffle machine was broken.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had alot to choose from :yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, bagels and more! Enjoyed the bar, workout room and comfortable room.

I would not advise to stay here. We checked out early because the room was dirty. The hallway smelled like vomit, the bedding was stained and had hair on it. The bathtub was filthy. There were coffee splatters all over the wall. I also noticed pest control boxes.

The good... The room was a good place to sleep in. The air conditioning worked. The bed was good. Other than some gum stuck to the bed post, the room was pretty clean. The lobby has been overhauled and the breakfast was respectable. The rest... The property is in pretty rough shape. While entering the parking lot it appeared abandoned, no hotel sign on the entrance, rough asphalt, bent light poles, no flags on the flag poles and a maintenance vehicle for pushing snow with a flat tire. Checkin was smooth but when I went to investigate the room i wasn't told the elevator was broken. The rear entrance near our room had a card reader that was disconnected from the crashbar. It was unlocked every time we accessed the door, which is concerning from a security point of view as this Hotel is clearly operating with minimal staff. The elevator that was in service on our room's wing was pretty sketchy. The call button light is broken, the floor tiles are shattered and it smelled of smoke. This will echo several other reviews I've now seen. The phone didn't work. The room's slide lock was backwards, the bathroom door handle was coming off. The shower was unusable as the drain was covered it lime scale, or paint, or sealant from the repairs around the faucet and tub. The bathroom had chunks of plaster missing and it was obvious there was water damage that had simply been painted over but was slowly coming through the new paint. These have previously been called out and gone unfixed.
