Margaritaville Beach Resort Ft Myers Beach

great property; do not like that they sell day passes for pool when the hotel is sold out, makes it hard for hotel guests to get a spot at the pool and way to crowded, not respectful of the hotel to its guests paying a lot per night. this should not happen when the hotel is sold out or spring break time.

THE MAIN BUILDING WHERE ARRIVALS CHECK IN & HAVE PARKING IS FINE.THE 2ND FLOOR HOUSES CHECK IN & A WORK OUT AREA IE: A GYM, ALSO A GIFT SHOP WALK OUTSIDE TO THELARGE OPEN AREA IS OUTDOOR DINING AREA & A NICE TIKI BAR WITH LIVE MUSIC. ALSO NEXT TO THE TIKI BAR IS A LARGE AREA FOR THOSE THAT ENJOY PLAYING CORN HOLE., WHAT ISN'T THERE IS A SWIMMING POOL OR ANY HOT TUBS. TO GET TO THE ENORMOUS POOL YOU MUST WALK UP A FLIGHT OF STEPS ( OR A RAMP WALKWAY, THEN USE THE ELEVATEDOVERPASS TO CROSS OVER ESTERO BLVD TO GET TO THE POOL WHICH IS VERY LARGE. ( DO MOT TRY TO BRING ANY BEVERAGES OR FOOD TO THE POOL AREA, THEY WANT YOU TO SPEND BIG $ TO PURCHASE THEIR FOOD & BEVERAGE OF CHOICE.. FOR SENIORS I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SPECIFIC RESORT AS IT REQUIRES MUCH WALKING. NOW THE POSITIVE NEWS AS WE SAW IT. THE GROUNDS ARE WELL TAKEN CARE OF, THE PUBLIC RESTROOMS ON SITE ARE VERY CLEAN & THE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL & FRIENDLY.

Great resort with everything you need onsite. Fun pool atmosphere, right on the beach, casual and fine dining, multiple bars and great fitness center!

Parking is VALET only and you have to pay $35/day and no ifs and but’s! This was not disclosed upon booking with expedia so I was surprised arriving at the hotel to check in to pay $1500+ including $100/day incidentals which is refundable WITHOUT the parking payment. Also, its a walk to get into the beach from your hotel room. Overall, not impressed on this hotel, dont believe the hype you watch on social media about this place.

What ruined it for us was the insane daily parking charge. $37 for parking because the only option available was valet. All of this on top of a $35/daily “resort charge “. This resort charges for everything - don’t assume anything is included.

Great place to spend sometime if you have kids. Huge pool and the service is excellent

They give customers zero reason to leave the resort. Several restaurants/bars on site, spa, pool, gym, bikes, activities, etc. Food was decent and easily accessible, but nothing to rave about. My number one complaint is that they DO NOT tell you when you check-in that you'll be charged for the valet parking (no free parking options on site, or easily accessible nearby), and every time you request your vehicle, you'll be charged. Nor do they tell you that there is an automatic 20% gratuity added on to every meal, service, etc. My second complaint, the pool is LOUD, all day long (live DJ). It would be very nice to have a quiet, relaxing pool option, as well as the "party" pool. The resort is certainly large enough to accommodate this. Third (somewhat minor) complaint: called the front desk at least 6 times during our stay to request bottles of water (complimentary), shampoo and conditioner (complimentary), etc. Not one time did anyone ever bring the items we requested. They took the call and said somone would bring the items shortly, but never did anyone show up. I ended up having to go to the front desk to get what we needed.

This is a beautiful resort, but with some issues 1. Everything closes way too early during the day I was with my mom and I was going to take the night time or evening for swimming and they close the pool at 8 PM. I’ve been too many resorts. I travel a lot and they’re open either at your own risk or till 12 midnight I didn’t get to use the pool at all and everything closes pretty much early too. 2. The balcony has no lights that you can sit out there at least I didn’t see any and I looked to enjoy the outside 3. It’s a bit expensive. I had a rum and Coke and it cost me $17. That’s a lot. 4. The bathrooms are a little bit slippery and they have no railing for the older people and it could be also for younger people, but the showers should have some kind of sticker on the floor. If you do not want to have the railings and it’s one glass divider there’s no doors. It’s just a glass beautiful bathroom. Staff is very friendly, greeted with a margarita I think that gave it a special touch, very clean Stay there again I would love to, but the nightlife for the night time is way too early. It was a time for me to relax and could not. Again, I travel a lot, and I was very surprised with the times and also how expensive it is to have a drink that was just one drink. If you stay there, you really have to valet you have no choice and it’s $35 a night. If things change in the future, I wouldn’t mind staying there again Thank you Aida

Stayed at this property with my family. I enjoyed the cleanliness at this location one thing I found as an obstacle where the pool access was across the street from the property ( a overhead access is good) but when you get to the pool area if you have your own water canister the guard /pool attendant checks your bags and does not allow your water canister to be brought in. My kids and I had to take our water canisters back to our room. Other than this obstacle we had a great time at this location. Definitely a return visit is in order.

This hotel was great. The food and drinks were very good. The pool was nice. There were plenty of lounge chairs. My only complaint was that you had to pay additional fees- $56 daily- to sit on the beach with an umbrella.

Margaritaville is a beautiful resort! We loved the pool area, cleanliness of our room and friendly staff. We wished there had more explanation of the resort upon check-in such as; where things were located, what the restaurant options were, etc. we also felt the meals/snacks were overpriced. The activities schedule was helpful. And the exercise room was phenomenal for a hotel setting! Overall an exceptional vacation resort!

Overall the resort was fine. Housekeeping was another thing. Did not replace our towels or empty garbage. Sheets were dirty on one bed. Has to make three requests for toilet paper. Asked to have garbage emptied, said they would but never came up.

Shower didn’t work, room was only cleaned once all week

Had to ask to get our room cleaned and it was never touched after six times we decided to leave and stay elsewhere.

Unfortunately, this was probably the worst Margaritaville we have ever stayed at, and we've stayed at many. When we arrived, the guest services were very unwelcoming and unaccommodating for our son, as only two guests are allowed in a king room. I had never encountered this issue at a Margaritaville before, so we ended up having to pay for a mattress and pay $40 for our son to use the pool, since they did not consider him a guest due to the room's guest limit. That was just the beginning. After we got into our room, our son used the restroom and called out to us, saying there was blood on the toilet. We involved management, and it turned out it was period blood from a previous guest that had not been cleaned. Overall, our stay was very pricey, and honestly, you could find a much cheaper and cleaner place with better service.

I had a wonderful experience... the hotel was super clean, the room spotless. Everything was very nice, and the service was great.

Good dining options (and accommodating for my gluten free allergy). The pool area was clean and the staff friendly. Rented beach chairs and umbrella with no issues.

It appeared clean, but there was a beer in the fridge, so that was not cleaned. One of the Bellmen was particularly unhelpful and we requested a broom twice to clean up sand and they never brought it up.

The resort is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. However our air conditioning didn’t work well and rooms were small.

Music they played on the property was quite loud. The showers did not work properly, lacked pressure and where difficult to operate. Rooms were clean, all had balconies, grounds were well maintained, plenty of restaurants, bars, easy access to the pool and the beach. Lovely staff. Construction in the area.

A portion of the resort is right on the beach, which is a big plus. The pool area can get lively, making it more of a fun, energetic hotel. Facilities were spotless, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Pool is separate from hotel rooms but is next to the beach . Room listed as ocean view but room was not facing ocean and you could only partially see it off the patio

Unfortunately the water pressure is terrible. I was told it is like that all over Estero Island. Beautiful place and room, but some Aspects are impractical, like having to stand to turn off the light between the beds, then getting into the bed in the dark! And be sure to get a lesson on how to work the shower, though it won’t get very hot or provide much pressure.

I’ve been coming to Ft Myers since 1986. My family has property here that is beach front and still not fixed since Ian. My honest review of Margaritaville -Beautiful. -Good food. -Live entertainment -Greeted at check in with a margarita -Bathroom doors allow everyone in the room to hear your business and no toilet bowl cleaner -Air conditioner made noise all night long and despite it being set at 62, it never went lower than 72 but felt like 80. Thank goodness I brought ear plugs. -No beach chairs included in your stay - you have to rent them. Be sure to check Groupon with Adventure Water Sports for cheaper price. They really should be included with the price of this hotel. -Rooms are quite the distance from the beach, which negates the reason for booking in Ft Myers. -Can’t bring in your thermos or cup with ice water to the pool. They hold it for you but they do have cups and jugs with cold water available at all the bars and around the pool. -Lots of staff at the pool to serve you - drinks are fantastic. -2nd floor restaurant/bar could use candles at the high tops at night. You can’t see the menu or your food. The tables have candles. -pool is street side, you can hear all the traffic, especially the motorcycles and if there are any emergency vehicles, you are deaf for a few minutes as they drive through. - I do not like this is open to the public, you are subjected to even more obnoxious drunks than the ones staying at the hotel. -PinkShell is better!

Great staff and clean and comfortable room.

The property itself was very nice well maintained, but the staff and customer service was horrible. The staff at the check-in counter were unwilling to acknowledge or assist after we extended our reservation and were locked out of our room for three hours. We contacted the retail manager for a callback from the check-in desk manager with no response or communication from anyone. Horrible customer service.

Welcoming staff, friendly service. Hotel is in remarkable shape compared to surrounding buildings from the hurricane.

Everyone was extremely friendly from bar staff to registration. Cannot fault anything. Food was great the property was well kept up and very clean. Will go back again and bring friends.

After several days in Naples for a football camp, we headed to Margaritaville to be on the water and take in the beautiful energy of the resort. Francisco at the front desk was beyond accommodating and we can't thank him enough for helping us find the perfect room. Laredo by the pool was incredible and took care of us as we basked in the sun in our short time there. GREAT energy and so much fun. Literally across the street from tasty restaurants and the beautiful beach. Didn't like that Rance, the bartender by the pool, was bossy toward my wife /son about ordering food there vs with our man Laredo. But we didn't allow that to ruin our stay. Spent the evening hanging on the deck by the "fireplaces." Great memories. HIGHLY recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Every staff member we encountered was friendly. Special Shoutout to Johnathan and the front desk and Jeff at the pool for their extra amazing customer service. Room was very nice and clean. Hotel walkable to many dining options. DJ was so fun at the pool. We will definitely return

Check in and check out were not efficient and took far too long. Took forever for bellhop to find our belongings both checking in and leaving

We reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights and we had no power for our entire stay! No AC, no phone charging, no lights, NO POWER! They were running on generator power for 2 weeks prior to our booking and they never told us. Then the power went out all together after we arrived. If we had known they were running on generator power prior to booking we wouldn't have booked there. We contacted them and they refunded only partially, resort fees, but they haven't called us regarding any room refunds. We are still trying to get them to return our calls. Worst trip ever and it was for a birthday celebration :(

Over billing machine. Watch your wallet and watch your credit card. Any deposits you pay go into an abyss and they don’t apply them. I’ve been trying to get credits back for a week and they don’t follow through

The staff is absolutely fabulous here! They only reason I didn’t not give all 5 stars is because there was a power outage issue but the staff did everything they could to get it up and running asap and worked with us.

The hotel is really nice, quiet area, and the beach is pretty but shallow and cold in the mornings. There are limited dining places outside the hotel but a couple of miles outside you can find some as needed. The hotel has everything there, specially a pizzeria for a quick, affordable lunch.

This property is clean and in great repair! It looks exactly like the other Margaritaville resorts that we have stayed in the past! They do have dining options at the resort. This resort is walkable to Old San Carlos Blvd, where many restaurants are located! The resort is across the street from the beach, not on the beach! The pool is open to the public, not just resort guest! You might consider a rental car, if you fly into Fort Meyers. Its approximately a 30 minute drive from the resort and you will likely want to get out and explore the greater Fort Myers area!

It was nice a nice stay. The town is getting rebuilt and is better than before. Beaches are not as clear as I remind them but overall it was a good vacation

The resort itself is very nice, but guests should be aware there is a LOT of noise, traffic and nonstop construction surrounding due to recent hurricanes.

If going to FMB you must stay here or another resort style property. FMB is a construction zone and has been for quite a while. Not much is open. All boarded up. It was great that we had everything we needed right at the resort. We didnt have to leave the property for anything. The staff worked hard constantly keeping everything clean and tidy. We enjoyed all the restaurants and all the service at the pool and patio.

Our first stay at Margaritaville and we had a wonderful time. Location was great, close to stores and additional restaurants. We were very happy with the restaurant options on property but it was nice to have nearby options if we wanted to out. We will definitely go back.

Super fun place! Great pool, awesome drinks, excellent food!

JWB steak house is a must. The filet and the octopus, delicious. Service acceptable. The pool was incredible. Rented a cabana for $500 but includes 6 day pass and a fruit plate.

Most of the food was identical at the restaurants and morning breakfast at license to chill was not busy but took 40 mins just for three pancakes.

The music at the pool is too loud …food and drink prices are high so we would leave the property at times to eat. People who work there are friendly. They need more plantings along the pool on the roadside so you don’t have to watch the traffic go by.

We had an awesome time. Very relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the food and drinks at La De Dah bar and grill. The pool was so enjoyable to relax in with a few drinks. The room was great plenty of space with a large shower. Great view from our balcony.

Atmosphere is perfect! Very clean and fresh! Cocktails were good only thing didn’t care for was the food at lah te da not the greatest could use some more flavor. But JWB grill upstairs is excellent!
