The cabin was very cute and small. The kitchen needs a complete update. The stove did not work. There was no toaster. The toilet was wobbly. The sink was wobbly. I turned on the oven and it started smoking. You could not see the controls on the hot tub, so he pretty much had to guess but the property was clean and just needs an overhaul.

I had flashbacks of Texas chainsaw massacre when driving down township road seeing all the junk cars lined up and then the bathtub would not fill all the way up without the water getting cold and the hot tub only got to 100 degrees and they claim these cabins are secluded but I could throw a rock and hit the cabin next to us and I can’t even throw very far do not stay there

The first thing we noticed when we entered, the cabin was what we think was stale cigarette smoke being covered up by Febreze. The hot tub water smelled very musty and looked cloudy. Maintenance promptly came to clean the filter and add chemicals, but it did not take away the musty odor and we did not use the hot tub. The mattress was uncomfortable. The bathroom was VERY small and there was no shower. There was a jetted bathtub, however, the hot water tank did not have enough capacity to fill the tub and utilize the jets. Especially when considering the price we do not recommend.

The drive up with all the junkyard cars was kind of an eye sore We had no issues with checkin / cleanliness our issues for our stay was the inside of the stove doesn’t work properly and only two burners work on the stovetop and one is on crooked The Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom only fills up a little less than halfway full of hot water before it turns ice cold we tried to use it past 8 PM at night so we didn’t have anyone to get a hold of to hopefully address the issue we went outside tried to use the Jacuzzi, but the weather did not permit so we decided to go back in hopeful that the hot water had refilled and it did not we drained it and just gave up was kind of letdown from that honestly everything else about the place was nice besides those few things we are not the first ones to address the hot water issue for the tub by looking at the ratings

This cabin gets a 5-star rating from me. All the important things were great--the property was easy to find, well-maintained, clean, everything worked. The hot tub was lovely, not too heavy on chlorine, and I LOVED that it was screened in. But the design of the space was a little strange. There is a half bath in the cabin and a huge bathtub in the bedroom with a shower head. But no shower curtain/glass so that was a bit awkward. Also, there's a pendant lamp in the kitchen right by the entry that is in the way when you come in, sit down, stand up from the kitchen table...we both hit our heads a few times, but at least it was very light! Not inconvenient or unuseable enough to warrant 4-stars instead of 5, but awkward enough to be worth mentioning! Otherwise, everything was great--beautiful spot, serene, and well kept.

We loved our stay at the cabin. It was clean, had great amenities and was secluded enough that we didn’t have to worry about noisy neighbors. The hot tub was lovely and cabin was cozy. We loved that we were able to bring our dog. Would definitely stay again.

this property needs alot of tension stove is broken and damage very dirty no handle to open door of stove alot of window moldings missing blindes very dirty bathroom sink not mounted not enough hot water to fill jaccozi tub the bed frame creeks every time you sit or lay and roll on it i never gave a bad rating on a property before we love this area go down 5 to 6 times a year hate to do it but needs alot of attention hope they do that because its a quit area

Other cabins are in sight, but it is definitely secluded. I made the mistake of going in February. Though the cabin is heated and the gas fireplace did work, it was still very cold. I wanted a hot bath, and didn't want to brave the cold temperatures to get into the hot tub on the porch, so I attempted drawing a bath, and the hot water cut out half through. The wifi kept cutting out before I could watch anything. Luckily I had brought textbooks to study, but my dog and I were uncomfortable from the cold and left the next day. If I had chosen a warmer month, it might have been more enjoyable.

The cabin was great! Very clean. The bed is a little squeaky, but not a huge deal. Did not get a chance to use the Jacuzzi, but the hot tub was amazing! The road that leads to the cabin was kind of an eyesore with all the trailers and junkyard, but other than that, everything was perfect!

The cabin itself was very cute, and clean. We did notice a few places where it could use some maintenance, but that was not a deal breaker for us. What cut our stay short was that my allergies flared up with a vengeance when I went inside, so we ended up not being able to stay in the cabin at all. To be clear, this is a known issue of mine that happens to me from time to time, should NOT be interpreted in any way as a negative reflection on the cabin or the owners. It was just bad luck.

Cabin was a perfect size , very clean and secluded. Fireplace and hot tub were nicer than we expected. The only thing we would change is the mattress could be a little better. For the money, this was a fantastic stay … would book again!

The main reason for us going to the cabin was for the hot tub and jacuzzi. The hot tub was awesome! The jacuzzi didn’t go so well. The jets sprayed way up towards the windows so we couldn’t use it. My fiancé has a really bad back that’s why we wanted both amenities. When we woke up the next morning our backs hurt from the bed. My back never hurts but that bed definitely hurt me. My fiancé was in excruciating pain from the bed causing us to leave a day early. Would love a refund if that’s even possible.

Just a couple things would have made an easy 5 stars. Seating on the patio by the hot tub, not enough hot water for a bath, and no actual shower stall. The cabin itself was awesome. Plenty of seating for two. Great theme followed throughout. Have additional options for a later checkout. We did pay an extra 20 for two hours that was great but I had to ask the host. Towels and dishes were appreciated. Very clean. And the deer walking the property was refreshing nature.

The bed was terrible to sleep in. All we wanted was a relaxing night to get uninterrupted sleep, kid free. That did not happen. The mattress was terrible. The only good thing was the hot tub. The couch was tiny and not comfortable either.

The listing was a bit in accurate as far as cabin being secluded every window you looked out of you seen another cabin. The only furniture they had to relax on was a loveseat that was old and broken down. The mattress was old and you sank into each other very uncomfortable sleeping. The best thing was the hot tub was nice.

No communication what so ever. I was charged for 2 cabins n stayed in one. I sent several messages thru vrbo and directly, all to be unanswered and no way to cancel or communicate. Shameful..Highly disappointed. I tried to reach out the same week.

The entire property was beautiful! Cabin and amenities were all as listed. I'd love a message ahead of time to assure guests are aware of check-in procedures, but Brittney was responsive and incredibly kind! 5/5 will definitely return! (Mom to mom- Good luck with everything!)
The entire property was beautiful! Cabin and amenities were all as listed. I'd love a message ahead of time to assure guests are aware of check-in procedures, but Brittney was responsive and incredibly kind! 5/5 will definitely return! (Mom to mom- Good luck with everything!)

We had a great stay at colonel’s quarters near New Straitsville in Hocking Hills Area. Easy check-in. Comfy bed. Nice hot tub. Privacy even with another cabin nearby. Only complaints would be fix the toilet seat and oven door (or maybe even consider a complete replacement for stove) Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning in the future!

I had to ask 10 times, 2 people, and over 4 different communication platforms to get any response for a question I asked when I booked almost a month in advance. Shout out to Pam for actually being helpful because Brittney didn’t seem to care about our stay at all. The cabin was clean and great. I wish Brittney’s communication was better so we would want to stay there again.

Overall the cabin was great! The hide-a-key described in the check-in instructions was not there. Thankfully, the code provided worked. It would have been helpful to have instructions on how to lock the cabin door - took a few tries to figure out. Property manager did not respond to my messaged request for early check-in.

The cabin and location were just what we needed to get away for a while. Our dogs are terrified of fireworks so we left the city and stayed at Cherokee Way over the 4th of July. The hosts didn’t reach out to give any information (verification or check in details) until I sent several messages, but that may just be how they operate. They were available immediately when we called bc the fireplace was stuck on when we got there (it was in the 80s). It was clean and had all of the amenities that were needed. There isn’t much hiking or trails nearby, it’s at least a half hour drive, but worth it. I would definitely stay again.

Just a couple things would have made an easy 5 stars. Seating on the patio by the hot tub, not enough hot water for a bath, and no actual shower stall. The cabin itself was awesome. Plenty of seating for two. Great theme followed throughout. Have additional options for a later checkout. We did pay an extra 20 for two hours that was great but I had to ask the host. Towels and dishes were appreciated. Very clean. And the deer walking the property was refreshing nature.

We had a blast exploring hocking hills. This cabin is secluded and but still just a short drive to all the fun. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after canoeing and hiking. Only thing I didn’t like was that the shower is actually just a shower head connected to the jacuzzi tub. So you have to hold the shower head in your hand to showers. Other than that this cabin is the perfect getaway.

It was really nice! We stayed in eagles nest two years ago and decided to come back and do another cabin. The junkyard you have to drive through is a bit off and scary lol but the overall location where the cabins sit is really nice ! Thank you!

Cabin came as advertised. Great location about 20 minutes from Logan and half an hour from Hocking Hills sites. Our little dog loved the cabin and the woods. Thanks for a great weekend.

The drive up with all the junkyard cars was kind of an eye sore We had no issues with checkin / cleanliness our issues for our stay was the inside of the stove doesn’t work properly and only two burners work on the stovetop and one is on crooked The Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom only fills up a little less than halfway full of hot water before it turns ice cold we tried to use it past 8 PM at night so we didn’t have anyone to get a hold of to hopefully address the issue we went outside tried to use the Jacuzzi, but the weather did not permit so we decided to go back in hopeful that the hot water had refilled and it did not we drained it and just gave up was kind of letdown from that honestly everything else about the place was nice besides those few things we are not the first ones to address the hot water issue for the tub by looking at the ratings

We loved our stay at the cabin. It was clean, had great amenities and was secluded enough that we didn’t have to worry about noisy neighbors. The hot tub was lovely and cabin was cozy. We loved that we were able to bring our dog. Would definitely stay again.

The cabin was great! Very clean. The bed is a little squeaky, but not a huge deal. Did not get a chance to use the Jacuzzi, but the hot tub was amazing! The road that leads to the cabin was kind of an eyesore with all the trailers and junkyard, but other than that, everything was perfect!

The first thing we noticed when we entered, the cabin was what we think was stale cigarette smoke being covered up by Febreze. The hot tub water smelled very musty and looked cloudy. Maintenance promptly came to clean the filter and add chemicals, but it did not take away the musty odor and we did not use the hot tub. The mattress was uncomfortable. The bathroom was VERY small and there was no shower. There was a jetted bathtub, however, the hot water tank did not have enough capacity to fill the tub and utilize the jets. Especially when considering the price we do not recommend.
