We stayed at the Alpine Motel at Katoomba because we were visiting a patient in the nearby hospital. The room was very good, spacious and clean. The walkways were not immaculately clean and the carpark was showing its age but we have seen much worse in recent years. We will quite likely stay there again.

Motel would be great for someone with a car. Tucked just off the highway. Sidewalks and cross a major interchange before the train station, walkway, upstairs to town. Staff was very helpful.

It is a nice, clean property with lots of room in the King size bedroom. Right by the GWH but the sound doesn't filter into the room. Close to Katoomba town center (5min drive) for your dining options.

Spaciousness rooms that are always clean. The check in and out are simple. Service is great and prompt. There is hair dryer, iron + board, coffee/tea making facilities in room, air conditioning, ample parkong and the rooms are in good condition. Ive stayed a few times now and I'm always happy. A short walk or drive into town, with a servo right next door. The highlight is always how clean this place is. Thank you again for an excellent stay.

The property description is pre covid. Now no bar , no restrant,. This should have been udated by now. Room showing age. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Front desk staff great. We would not book this place again as it is falsely decriped on both this site and their site

Overall a nice stay. Room was very clean. No noise from neighbours. Beds were ok. Being on a main road there was some traffic noise. The outside of the motel needs some upkeep so first impressions were not good as it looks quite run down.

My room was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities I could possibly need. The staff were very nice and the Hotel is in a great location. I was very impressed and will definitely stay again on future trips.

This property unfortunately does not meet what you would expect in a motel of today The internet while it is free might aswell not exist as it cuts out every 2 minutes There is no spare pillows and only 2 on a king bed There was only two power points in the room and one of them was for the tv We had to unplug the bed light to charge our phone They advertise room service but no menu or phone to ring anyone I will give this motel a wide birth next time

Helpful and friendly staff worked to get us the room that would work the best. Everything was good in the room. Location across the highway from town center was not to convenient but we had a car so was manageable. Only distraction was lots of highway noise.

Booked a family room and standard room for one night. Family room needed an extra bed which was provided straight away but made the main area abit cramped. Rooms were very clean and everything worked, but they were very dated. Double glazing was a great addition given the closeness to the highway and the very cold weather.

Room was just OK. It's not a far star resort, but you're not paying for one. 5 minutes' drive to everything. Backs onto a main road so our room had traffic noise at night. It's quite dated and carpet and fittings quite worn. We only stayed the 1 night. Would not really want to stay much longer.

No air conditioning working. Very hot night had to open window which meant traffic noise all night. No staff to tell that anything was wrong. Staff basically disinterested. Very poorly maintained.

The motel is very good, although a tad old. We loved the big rooms with lots of amendities. The electric sheets were a big surprise, although we didn’t needed them. The nearby restaurant is very good, if you want other options you are in for a walk to the nearby town.

A convenient place to stay while visiting the Blue Mountains. The bathroom was as expected, except for some of the oddest towels which were synthetic rather than cotton. These oddities stuck to your body when drying after a shower and were unpleasant to use. I would go back again as it's well located and met expectations. Hopefully the hotel dumps these towels asap.

Nice large room, view blocked by trees, no traffic noise. Had to go out for breakfast, access is a bit complicated but close to town.

The manager was nice and the rooms were clean! Across the street was a convenience store and restaurants and shopping were close by if you don’t mind a short walk!

It is a nice, clean property with lots of room in the King size bedroom. Right by the GWH but the sound doesn't filter into the room. Close to Katoomba town center (5min drive) for your dining options.

Had a great meal and hospitality at the just opened restaurant next door. Ideal as we didn't want to get in the car after a big day of driving.

The property description is pre covid. Now no bar , no restrant,. This should have been udated by now. Room showing age. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Front desk staff great. We would not book this place again as it is falsely decriped on both this site and their site

This stay was disappointing. Beds had electric blankets, but wiring was faulty on most of them. If you wanted to use them you would have been electrocuted. Lights didn’t work in the room. The room had a toaster and jug, but no bowls or cutlery. We had to go to the local shops and buy what we needed for our family. The beds and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. No extra pillows or blankets were available in the room. The general condition of the place is very run down and in desperate need of not only modernisation, but also an investment in bringing the quality up to somewhere near what is claimed to be “3 stars”. It is old, untidy and definitely not a location you would choose deliberately. We won’t ever be recommending this hotel to anyone and will never go back there. Stay away, choose somewhere else in the Blue Mountains.

Very quiet and spacious room . Glimpses across to the blue mountains sandstone valleys (was in upstairs room). Very clean. The car park looks a bit run down, but doesn’t affect the rooms which are modern and well appointed. Great air conditioning/heating. Minor highway noise but with the double glazed windows not an issue. Old school solid brick walls so very quiet. Would stay again.

Due to heavy bookings for UTA event we stayed in a twin room the first night booked direct with motel it was OK for 2 adults 1 teen but we found the second night much better, same sort of facilities but just extra space (this Expedia booking). Rooms were right next to each other but we had to check out 10am check back in at 2pm. The owner was encouraging us to stay in the smaller room but not willing to reduce the cost to cover price difference (approx $60) so we went with our original bookings. Location was good for UTA, short drive to Katoomba, very visible signage. Comfortable beds, hot water, mini fridge and microwave useful. Some traffic noise but not unbearable.
