The New England Hotel

I was disgusted with the smell,the wallpaper hanging off the walls the windows were sealed shut(definitely a health and safety concern)the noise from doors slamming,there was not one member of staff present at any time at all,no meet and greet absolutely the worst hotel and stay I have ever experienced,this place needs serious attention,

When we arrived at the hotel we couldn't get in as we had no door code to enter to get in or a code for a key box to get the room key, had to ring a phone number to get them, it looked OK as you entered but was dark and dingy in the entrance hall, we also had to climb 2 sets of stairs to get to our room whilst my wife is disabled and has a bad hip so was a struggle and painful for her whilst trying to get luggage up to, the room itself was very dated and the ceiling paper was hanging off, in the bathroom the toilet was blocked and couldn't use it properly as it was close to overflowing when flushed, the sealant around the bath and sink was of poor quality and the bed itself was very uncomfortable and felt like you was laid on a board and if you moved you would roll off the side of the bed, not a very please t experience all in all and was very disappointed. There was no staff on site to communicate with for any issues, had to ring a phone number, Won't be staying again.my honest review.

Only stayed for the one night but it had everything that i needed

This place is a joke needs sorting on every point

The staff were amazing. When I got there at 5 was no hot water and TV did not work. Moved me to another room at 9.30 and bath was not working and no hot water till next day than the TV had no TV signal
