I booked this apartment about four months in advance for two adults and two children. Then, just one day before arrival, the owner told me the apartment was “obviously not recommended for young children” because of the spiral staircase. If that is important, it should be clearly stated in the listing, not mentioned the day before check-in. The apartment is advertised for four guests, with a double bed and a double sofa bed, but the sofa bed is only about 140 cm wide and feels very small for two people. There is no air conditioning, and in summer it gets extremely hot, especially upstairs. The fans are not enough. The spiral staircase is narrow and uncomfortable, and the only toilet is upstairs. Wi-Fi was also very poor, I measured only about 5.8 Mbps. Communication was difficult because the owner speaks limited English and Spanish, and he repeatedly told me I should have read his own website. I booked through Hotels.com and expected all essential information to be there. The cleaning rules are excessive: guests are expected to leave the apartment almost ready for the next guests, otherwise there is a minimum €80 fee. I understand paying extra for early check-in, but paying extra for towels at around $200 per night is strange. This is private accommodation, not a hostel. The building may be old and “authentic,” but that does not make the stay comfortable. Overall, far too many conditions and too little comfort for the price.

Great location. A bit noisy in the mornings with stilettos walking backwards and forwards on bare floorboards but nice and quiet at night. Beautiful decor in property in lovely historical building. Lighting a little tricky in lounge area as on a sensor so in dark if you’re still for too long. Very Well equipped for somewhere without kitchen ! All in all our stay was very comfortable. Nous avons passé, un excellent séjour ! La chambre est parfaite décorée avec beaucoup de charme. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Narbonne.

Très bon séjour. Laurent qui nous a accueilli a été de très bon conseil poir visiter la ville. La chambre est propre. Bien décorée. Avec draps, serviette nécessaires de toilettes fourni. Mais attention ce n'est pas un HOTEL même si c'est sur hotel.com. donc pas d'accueil, arrivé et départ à heure fixe. Pas de bagagerie. Mise a part ca une fois prévenus je recommande
