I booked this room in January 2026 for 8/28/26 checking out on 8/31/26. I received confirmation of the reservation the same day. It was for a room on the lower floor with 2 queen size beds. Two weeks before check-in I called to confirm the reservation directly with the hotel. It was confirmed. Upon arriving, with my family, I was informed that the gift card I had was being denied. I checked the card status, and with sufficient funds available. I then walked to a nearby merchant and used the card without a problem. So, I had to pay the hotel fee with a credit card. I was then told the room would be on the upper level with 2 smaller beds. I was told a requested room could be made ready in 1.5 hours. Being LLWS Championship Weekend, I would not be able to find a room at a similar size and price. Meanwhile I used the card all weekend at other merchants and restaurants without a problem. I was not expecting a 5-star room, but it definitely should have been better maintained and supplied. Rather than stay the extra night, we left on 8/30. When I asked for the receipt, I was told the person that did that would back in an hour. Only the first day trainee was at the front desk. None of us wanted to stay any longer. The staff also made us feel that we were the cause of the problem. I was to receive the receipt via e-mail which I did twice, both times being incorrect. We stayed at this hotel previously when it was a different chain. It obviously was not a change for the better.

Property was dirty and looked like it was closed for a while. The attached Fridays was closed, the Keys that I was given didn't work, towels not folded neatly with no washcloths. No local menu's or info about the breakfast on the property. A/C very loud. Room was clean enough, bed seemed old. OK for the price.
