Arana House

The Expedia description does not match the actual accommodation: It is not a 4 star guest house but rather a 2 star hostel. Also, we couldn’t find the house in the first place since it has no name on it, neither would people living there know the place (in the hostel itself it then shows a different name). The location is good since all restaurants, bars and shops are around, however it gets super noisy during the night. The worst thing for us was the dirtiness especially in the shared bathrooms. The host made an effort to clean them after our complaint (which wasn’t noticeable), however they are not being cleaned daily (looks like being cleaned once a month). The room itself was ok ish, but the mosquito nets weren’t tight to the wall properly. The host provided us with anti-mosquito measurements, still no improvements on the nets were made. If you are looking for a real hostel experience it’s ok (organizing board game nights for example) but me myself I wouldn’t stay there again.
