Wingate by Wyndham Kings Bay Naval Base I-95

We had a one night stay at the Wingate. Found the room needs improvement on cleaning. We found stains and food crumbs on the desk and table. The bathroom vanity was not cleaned. There was a used bottle of shampoo left in the bathtub, the towels appeared to be rummaged through and weren't neatly stacked, not sure if they were clean or used. The bathroom lights behind the mirror started to flash for no reason, it felt like I was in a nightclub. The TV remote was sticky. Found a live cockroach/water bug in the common area. The included breakfast was very basic, sausage, eggs, cereal and bread.

Our stay was horrible. The location felt sketchy, had unsure people constantly walking around. Didn't know if it vehicle would get broken into or not. We booked a suite with jetted bathtub, the keys did not work and black stuff kept coming from the filter from the tub. The receptionist moved us to another room claiming it had a jetted tub and it did not, so she moved us again to a no suite room with a jetted tub and again the jetted tub did not work. So we were stuck in a nonsuite, nonjetted bathtub tiny room. We tried the hot tub outside, it was very warm but extremely dirty. The hallways and stairs smelled of strong cigarette smoke. Our stay was horrible, the staff were very friendly and that's about the only good thing I can say about this place. I give it a 0.5/10 and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Would have liked to have had brighter lights in the room.

Room floors were never vacuumed. Room did not have any towels, I had to request them. The shower was leaking and continued to flood the bathroom floor. When I reported it, I was told their maintenance was gone for the weekend.
