We stayed in Bensons cottage for 3 nights, there were 5 adults so having en-suites for all the bedrooms was really good. The cottage was well equipped with kitchen utensils and good to have basics like tea, coffee and sugar. Also a nice touch to have a pint of milk and a cake on arrival. There was plenty of space but found the room with the fire most comfortable but the tv was in the other room with sofas which weren’t very comfortable and no tables for drinks. Also found the bed in the main bedroom was not very comfortable, it felt like the mattress needed replacing. All other beds were fine. We walked into Blockley which has a lovely cafe and small shop. The cottage was in a good location for driving to Stratford and Stow on the Wold.

Beautiful cottage. Loved the log burner. Would have preferred the tv to be in the lounge with the log burner as it’s nice to be cosy watching tv. So would suggest either moving the tv or having one in each lounge.

We spent 10 days in Benson Cottage over Christmas and New Year and it was just lovely. Great to arrive and see the Christmas tree sparkling in the front room. All the rooms had thick, good quality curtains which helped keep the place warm. Easily managed to cook Christmas dinner for 5 in the double oven and hob all of which were simple to operate and responsive. There's a couple of things that would make this even better - be nice to have at least half a dozen matching pieces of crockery as it's a property designed for 6. There were plenty of everything (and I'd brought enough with me too!) but suggest a couple more roasting trays and a vegetable peeler too. It was great to have a separate TV room for those film lovers amongst us, but as others have said it's a bit sparse and cool in there so appreciated the blankets. I'd suggest a couple of small tables and a table lamp or something to make it look less bare. We used all three bedrooms and really appreciated us all having our own bathrooms. I'd suggest though (I know I'm being picky but it wasn't a cheap booking) full length mirrors in the two front bedrooms and more than one hairdryer. Like other guests have said, I noticed a few nicks or scuff marks on the walls where pictures had been or similar but nothing unusual in a large property where people are in and out regularly.

This is the second time I have used Stay Cotswold for an accommodation and have not been disappointed. The accommodation was as photographed and described and in generally good condition with only minor wear and tear. The location and amenities requested in a travel cot and high chair were there. The Christmas tree was a nice touch. Would recommend.
