Days Inn Bridgend Cardiff

Staff at check in were really friendly and helpful. Room/hotel is slightly tired and dated, but cannot grumble as this is reflected in the price of the room. Will be back when next working locally.

The building itself is in a poor state of repair with a huge hole in the fascia board round the back. Cleanliness was poor. There was a false nail on the floor behind the bathroom door from a previous occupant. Not a huge issue in itself but it does make you wonder how well the rest of the room was cleaned. Our soap dispensers were empty on arrival too. That said, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The parking was easy and convenient and the amenities nearby, especially the Indian Restaurant and takeaway were excellent. A good and convenient place to stay but you they do need to up their game on maintenance and cleaning.

Clean room, comfortable beds and convenient location. It would be useful though to have a mini fridge in the room.

It’s a very basic hotel. There were a few stray hairs on the sink and bath. The desk wasn’t clean. Bedside cabinet had seen better days (room 119). Bed comfy, though I asked for extra pillowcases so I could double bag the pillows as I do not like exposed pillow edges (I think it’s unhygienic) and the receptionist said she did not have any to give me which was perturbing. Beware £5 per night parking charge.

Clean room but no body wash in the shower and toilet was hard to flush. Parking is extra at £5 a night. No fan, ac or any convenience like that. It is what it is.
