What an amazing stay this turned out to be for a last minute trip to visit the Normandy beach area. Mohammed made check in a joy and Sylvie the owner makes it feel more like staying with family than a normal hotel stay. She was able to get us a late dinner reservation by the beach even though it was a Monday night. They eveb set us up with the rental bikes including navigation assistance, so we had an amazing bike ride adventure to the restaurant, And Sylvie also took time the following morning to help me route my Normandy beach stops to maximize what little time I had. Anyways look forward to coming back and staying here again. I really couldn’t recommend it more if you need a home base while touring the Normandy area. Oh and don’t skip the breakfast! It was also amazing.

Existing reviews have said it all-the condition of the property both in side and out, the grounds, staff and owners are simply exceptional. The chateau is located in a very quiet area providing the most peaceful of settings. Only a 20 minute drive from the ferry port at Caen and near to all the historic beaches, museums, cemeteries making it a more than ideal location. The owners are rightly proud of their hard work to restore the magnificent building, it is beautiful. Plans are imminent for additional rooms to be opened in converted outbuildings and I am sure the same high standards will prevail. The only minor observation/downside is that there are no restaurants/bars within walking distance.Good restaurants are within a ten minute drive however the owner who is a fine cook offers to cook dinner to order making it a very personal and pleasant evening meal. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh every morning using local produce. A quintessential French stay-book it you won't be disappointed.
