This is a lovely property under new management. It still has the previous name, Albion River Inn, on the sign as the new sign hasn’t arrived. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and our room had a nice ocean view and a deck with 2 chairs. During our stay the restaurant was closed for renovation but they did provide breakfast to the rooms on request. The WiFi is slow and intermittent and along much of the Mendocino coast there is no cell service. This lodge is located in Albion, about 5.5 miles south of the town of Mendocino. We would stay here again and would recommend it.

We love visiting the Mendocino coast and town And have wanted to stay and dine at this beautiful ocean front inn on or previous visits but could not get a room or dining reservation So glad we could stay there this time! Close to town and many amazing state parks but private and a high quality service experience Our room looked over the river meets ocean bay Sea birds were there The food and service in the restaurant was creative delish and four star!

The view from this property is amazing! The area is very quiet and peaceful! Although I could look at the view all day, it would have been nice to have a TV. Wish the restaurant would have been open during our visit.

We LOVED our time in the Mendocino area and this lodge made it perfect. Thank you to the entire staff for making our first time in Northern California a great experience. The restaurant’s menu and staff were outstanding, and the wine flights were abundant. We’ll be back!

The property was breathtaking the pictures do not do justice. We went to Mendocino for our anniversary weekend for the first time and it was the best experience. The staff was so lovely and kind and the rooms are one of a kind. It’s like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. Just simply stunning I have to come back and stay here again. Restaurant is under renovation I cannot wait to try it.

Excellent staff with a make-it-work attitude toward customer support. We had a couple of minor facility issues and the staff excelled in "The Moments of Truth" (as per Jan Carlzon). Service to the client was their guiding principle. Excellent view and wonderful restaurant on property. We will return.

Beautiful, clean, quiet and gorgeous views! The room was great with an amazing view and fireplace and breakfast at the restaurant was delicious. I will recommend this lovely spot to friends and hope to travel back in the future!

The view was amazing and my room was clean, but the exterior of the buildings and the interior was very dingy and in serious need of paint and a facelift. Lots of cobwebs and one of the windows was missing a screen. The food in the restaurant was good but very pricey.

The property needs some updates and clean up. The cottages are darling but lots of dirt and grime around the sink caulking, chunks of paint that have fallen off and left all over the deck. The lounge chair are way broken in. The bed was nice but the shower head could use a soaking. Apparently Expedia doesn’t give the full amount of what you pay for the room to the property. I had an extra $147 that I owed on checkout and the front desk agent didn’t understand enough to explain to me why.

We were in cabin 20. This cabin is pretty run down and dated. The real low point for me was the stained, gross bathroom flooring and the badly in need of being replaced bathroom sinks. Toilet ran on day 2 and it wasn’t worth calling for it to be fixed, it just needed tweaking. All bathroom fixtures and contents need fixing or replacement. Everything is just old and needs to be modernized. The hole in the wall above the bed and generally old and worn thrift store furniture and pictures don’t help the vibe. We were comfortable enough but new towels (ones that don’t tear while toweling off) and comfy bedding are needed. Nothing was soft. No extra blankets provided or basic toiletries. Coffee and tea in room was fine. One spoon for 2 people not enough for tea and coffee preparation. Luggage racks or a bench at the foot of the bed would be helpful. No really good place designated to put luggage. The stars of this show is the lovely staff, wonderful restaurant and the views. Rooms are nothing to write home about.

The room has a wonderful view of the Albion River mouth. We stayed in an upstairs room which doesn't have an outdoor balcony or deck. They offered us a downstairs unit when we checked in but we declined and we are glad we did. We enjoyed sitting in front of the big picture window with our coffee in the morning, watching the ospreys diving for fish. There was a nice gas fireplace to keep us warm in the chilly mornings.

The view is spectacular. I took 1 star out, as there were noise pretty obvious from next door when taking a bath or so. Aside, during the stay, there was a rainy and stormy night, the sounds of the wind were loud and scary. My husband and I could not sleep well due to the noise level. Overall, I still love the view and I wish the noise level can be improved. Would definitely recommended to stay in this place, as it is such a beautiful hotel with nice view.

The view from the property was nice, but a little further than I anticipated. Balcony and room is outdated. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The room didn’t have a tv and wifi was not the greatest. Also no microwave on the premises. A little too expensive

Amazing cliff top lodging with views to die for. We were in 14 and 15 down near the restaurant and bar. Spacious rooms with sliding doors into a decked area with the view. Easy check in and instructions. Wood burner (which we didn’t use) which would be amazing in cooler conditions. Amazing sunset and we had a clear night sky which was spectacular. Well situated for Mendocino and around. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but did have happy hour drinks on the lawn to drink in the views. Our terraces and chairs had seen better days and need some attention - but nit picking here. If you want a wow factor on the north Cali coast - this is it.

There were several issues during my stay. Firstly, the room lacked a hairdryer and bottled water, which was inconvenient especially since the on-site restaurant was unavailable. Additionally, the 24-hour service desk was unresponsive to both calls and texts. I had booked an ocean view room, but the view was obstructed by bushes and trees, requiring me to leave the cottage to actually see the ocean.

Absolutely amazing experience. The best hotel I've ever been to. It was quiet, clean, and offered beautiful views of the ocean. I will definitely return. Props to the front desk as well, who were kind and easy to talk to. Offer d suggestions for dining. And experiences.

Hotel is beautiful. Our check-in experience was a little odd – woman at front desk scolded us immediately for driving in wrong way on poorly marked driveway, and had somewhat hostile attitude towards us immediately, which was strange and unpleasant. But setting is unmatched, rooms are dated but pleasant, and restaurant was excellent with very friendly and professional staff.

Hotel is beautiful. Our check-in experience was a little odd – woman at front desk scolded us immediately for driving in wrong way on poorly marked driveway, and had somewhat hostile attitude towards us immediately, which was strange and unpleasant. But setting is unmatched, rooms are dated but pleasant, and restaurant was excellent with very friendly and professional staff.

Stayed for one night for a work trip was greeted with two nice ladies. I was able to check in early which was very helpful with my schedule. Parking was right in front of my little cabin, which was very convenient. The room was roomy very clean. The bed was extreme comfortable and the bathtub was huge! The best part of the room is by far the view from the balcony. I would have loved an extra night just to enjoy the view more! This is the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend for a couple. There are no TVs, which for some could be a bummer. I didn’t get a chance to check out the restaurant, but was told it was yummy was recently renovated. Hope to come back with my husband next time!

Excellent staff with a make-it-work attitude toward customer support. We had a couple of minor facility issues and the staff excelled in "The Moments of Truth" (as per Jan Carlzon). Service to the client was their guiding principle. Excellent view and wonderful restaurant on property. We will return.

The property is beautiful and hearing the ocean all night while sleeping was indescribable :) The room was clean and very comfortable. Check in was easy and the staff were so nice and engaging. The location is 10 minutes from Mendocino center and 20 from fort Bragg, very easy drive. It was the perfect end to 4 days hiking and camping on the redwoods:)

The room has a wonderful view of the Albion River mouth. We stayed in an upstairs room which doesn't have an outdoor balcony or deck. They offered us a downstairs unit when we checked in but we declined and we are glad we did. We enjoyed sitting in front of the big picture window with our coffee in the morning, watching the ospreys diving for fish. There was a nice gas fireplace to keep us warm in the chilly mornings.

The view from the property was nice, but a little further than I anticipated. Balcony and room is outdated. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The room didn’t have a tv and wifi was not the greatest. Also no microwave on the premises. A little too expensive

This is a lovely property under new management. It still has the previous name, Albion River Inn, on the sign as the new sign hasn’t arrived. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and our room had a nice ocean view and a deck with 2 chairs. During our stay the restaurant was closed for renovation but they did provide breakfast to the rooms on request. The WiFi is slow and intermittent and along much of the Mendocino coast there is no cell service. This lodge is located in Albion, about 5.5 miles south of the town of Mendocino. We would stay here again and would recommend it.

Amazing location! So peaceful and quiet!! Check in and check out was easy. Moderately priced for area. The state parks nearby are incredible! This was a nice spot not far from Mendocino headlands and Vandamme hikes.

Amazing cliff top lodging with views to die for. We were in 14 and 15 down near the restaurant and bar. Spacious rooms with sliding doors into a decked area with the view. Easy check in and instructions. Wood burner (which we didn’t use) which would be amazing in cooler conditions. Amazing sunset and we had a clear night sky which was spectacular. Well situated for Mendocino and around. Didn’t eat in the restaurant but did have happy hour drinks on the lawn to drink in the views. Our terraces and chairs had seen better days and need some attention - but nit picking here. If you want a wow factor on the north Cali coast - this is it.

The view was amazing and my room was clean, but the exterior of the buildings and the interior was very dingy and in serious need of paint and a facelift. Lots of cobwebs and one of the windows was missing a screen. The food in the restaurant was good but very pricey.

We love visiting the Mendocino coast and town And have wanted to stay and dine at this beautiful ocean front inn on or previous visits but could not get a room or dining reservation So glad we could stay there this time! Close to town and many amazing state parks but private and a high quality service experience Our room looked over the river meets ocean bay Sea birds were there The food and service in the restaurant was creative delish and four star!

The view from this property is amazing! The area is very quiet and peaceful! Although I could look at the view all day, it would have been nice to have a TV. Wish the restaurant would have been open during our visit.

La struttura di base è carina ma ha visto tempi migliori basterebbero alcuni piccoli cambiamenti parlo nello specifico nella camera 9 come la sostituzione della tavoletta del wc che è rovinata e fa un brutto vedere e la moquette va smacchiatore/sostituiamo o addirittura eliminata. La vista è speciale e anche la zona è suggestiva. Ottimo ristorante con piatti italiani ottimi lo dico da italiana non è un complimento regalato ma veritiero.

I almost don't want to give this rave review because I want to keep this gem of a place all to myself. It's simply magical. My daughter and I were pinching ourselves the whole time we were there: the unreal back deck and chairs, ocean view, privacy, quiet, comfy bed, huge bathtub and amazing breakfasts. Cody was such a pleasure every morning. Each day we were out hiking and exploring but couldn't wait to get back to our room to sit and sip wine and look at the ocean and the family of quail who came to visit. We loved everything about it. Everything. Cabin # 13: you made some very special memories for us and we'll be back. Thank you thank you thank you.

I had a mixed experience staying here. While the location and surrounding environment are fantastic, the "Ocean Room“ was very disappointing. It felt as though my room was the only one that hadn't been updated. The exterior paint was visibly peeling, and the room had a strong musty/moldy odor throughout my stay. The bathroom was unhygienic—the sink faucet leaked continuously, and the showerhead had mold on it. To top it off, the bed was far from comfortable. While the setting is wonderful, this room urgently need renovation and proper upkeep.
