I went to the Marriot for a weekend in Salem. The desk workers were friendly and answered any questions I had. The room was so clean and the shower was very spacious. My husband had a great birthday here.

I had a great stay here! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made for a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Parking was also convenient and easy to access. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

The Hotel overall was nice except a few maintenance items. The exaust fan in our bathroom didn't work so, every time we took to hot of a shower the steam would set off the smoke detector outside of the bathroom. The cabinet doors that house the mini fridge would stick, at one point I didn't think i was going to be able get it open. The staff is where this place really fell short. Upon arrival we let them know we had five guests staying and would need extra towels, even called back down to front desk every day to request extra towels. Never got them. Our kids just ended up bringing towels back from the pool area. Never once brought extra towels in the 4 nights we were there. Upon checkout I requested to use a different form of payment than the card I used to book the room with. Which they had on file because I used it at check in for the security deposit. After he confirmed the card number, agreed to charge that card. Went to use the other card for breakfast later and it got declined. Check the account and sure enough they charged the wrong card. Luckily all pending transactions hadn't posted yet and I was able to fill that account back up before getting hit with a bunch of overdraft fees. The problem is, that was the spending cash we had set aside for the rest of our trip. Overall the hotel was decent but the staff was pretty much useless.

The bathroom door in our room was broken and it felt like a safety hazard. However, when we called the front desk in the morning, someone came up and fixed it within minutes. However again, it broke again almost immediately and I got the sense that it was more or less an ongoing issue with the room. Nonetheless, the room was clean and pleasant and the hotel in general was very nice. I did appreciate how quickly the repair happened!
