Marina Fener

Unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy a stay at the hotel. After good communications with us prior arrival with regards to the transfer we had booked, that communication stopped on the arrival day. Without a heads up or any apology, we were dropped off at a different hotel by the transfer provider. Telling them that this is the wrong property, we were told by the driver that he was advised by Mariner Fener to drop us off at this hotel. The staff at the hotel Treekos (a sister hotel) explained that there was a “water damage” at our room at Marina Fener and they have moved us. Whilst I understand that this may indeed happen, there are a few issues. For one, there should be a clear communication from the hotel booked, not just a changed drop off location. An apology would be nice and an opportunity to review other options. We have booked the Fener because of its seaside location - the Treekos had nothing like that. Also, comparing our experience at the Treekos with what the images of the Fener looked like - it is not a comparable hotel and felt like a forced downgrade and the way it was explained it seemed more like a ploy of accepting bookings at the higher rated Fener and then filling empty rooms at the Treekos. In short - even without staying there, I can’t recommend staying here.

Note: 1. Overbooking happens in this hotel very often. 2. They will take you to their sister hotels (Treekos Suite, Marina Blue) which have totally different room quality. 3. Make you check-in to one of the hotels. 4. As a result, you can not get any refunds. 5. All I wanted was just chilling after the tough business trip week, and it was totally ruined. 6. In the end, I just do not want any other victims like me.

Beautiful property and very relaxing. The food was very good and the room was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
