Studio 6 Suites Madera, CA Yosemite

We were visiting relatives in the area and we needed a room for two nights. This first room they gave us had some ants running around in the bathroom, but they quickly gave us another room that was free of the little critters. The room was very clan and modern, and the bed was excellent. There was apparently a pool, because w saw some children running around wet with their towels, but we didn’t go exploring to find it. Overall the room was clean, modern and quiet. The AC worked fine as well.

I liked the king size bed and the refrigerator. The bathroom had a high tech mirror and the pool was extra clean. The color of the stucco was not too appealing but it was new.

Overflowing trash cans on the property The bed in our room had the wrong size sheets! Too small. Leaves a lot to be desired…

The staff was friendly and nice, the website advertised morning breakfast, which the unit did not have. The pool was dirty, the room was clean, however, killed three roaches in the room. The one night we were there.

The motel was under reconstruction, and there was a lot of debris. The mattress was severely stained.

The only thing we liked was the air conditioning was excellent. The rooms need to be refurnished with new furniture and new carpeting. The outside of the hotel needs to be cleaned and painted.

Wi-Fi was so slow it was unusable, the laundry machines weren't working and the ice machine was not working. Ridiculous.

The first room I was given had obviously not been cleaned in weeks. The carpet was filthy. There was a thick layer of dust on everything. They gave me a new room. It was better, but marginally. There was a muddy shoe print by the shower. They cleaned it, but not entirely. And now the next day, I have numerous red bug bites. I was there with a group of students and they had roaches. If it was cheaper, I'd throw up my hands. But at $100/night in MADERA, this is a big fat no. I did not expect the Ritz, it's Motel 6. But, I do expect clean. Gross. Gross. Gross. Avoid at all costs.

The receptionist is always nice when we go in there and the rooms are always clean.

Room was very dirty and with spider webs. Bathroom had no sink, sheets stained, room smelled bad and floor was not vacuumed. This place is just filthy.

Safety lock broken, dirty floor, table/counter not wiped. Stained sheets and towels.

Don’t expect much. Place was dirty; floors were not clean. My feet were black so please bring sandals to walk around, which is something I typically do, but here it was noticeably bad that the floors weren’t swept and mopped. My dog ate an old stale fry that was sitting for who knows how long. Spiders and roaches present throughout the stay. Unexpected surcharge for pets at $60. I was also told no pets on the bed (not sure how this would be enforced), but my room sheet blankets were already dirty with blue marker stains and hair from who ever stayed or tidied up the place last. However, for an economy rate it was nice on the wallet to say the least. Basically a spot to rest, utilize the restroom, and explore the Central Valley. I would definitely look elsewhere for hospitality.

The room was excellent, very clean and fresh. The staff was very polite, courteous and a delite to be around.

First time staying at a hotel in madrea ca and was amazing of how clean and comfortable out stay was for me and husband

I will not be back. Filthy floor, large, gross, yellow stain on bedspread. Bed was so squeaky we kept waking each other up when turning over during sleep.

Only negative comment I have is my water was never hot. Lukewarm at best

Great and easy check in. Room was spacious and clean. The only thing I would add is having more towels in the room. Other then that, had an amazing stay.

There are hand prints, and dirty drips on the mirror. The microwave isn’t plugged in and it’s hard to reach the plug. The Wi-Fi password did not work, and the Bluetooth on the TV would not connect.

The room was spacious and the staff was helpful .

The property was clean although we were hoping for a bottom room since our dog is disabled. The room and bed itself was comfortable.

In one of the rooms was ok but the room I stayed in the AC wasn’t working well

My stay was great, I just didn't have the remote for the TV. Other then that, it was great!

Biggest issues. 1: shower head was chest high (for reference I am 5’9” 2: people do live there and have no respect for the one time tenants. 3: the noise! Either the music or the freeway it was noticeable

They employees were horrible. They threatened me and my wife with violence. As we were leaving the guy banged on the door then yelled and said he was going to kick my ass. After that i laughed and as we were leaving they called the Madera police who aren't very good either. The guy lied and said i brandished a knife then the police didn't even ask and arrested me then took me to jail . They found no evidence and still took me to jail. The worst service i ever had anywhere. I suggest no one ever stay there. Especially if you don't like bugs or roaches.

After checking, I discovered it was coming from the mattress itself — a revolting, sour body odor that made me sick to my stomach. I immediately went to the receptionist and asked for a full refund. She even admitted I should get one, but since I booked through Expedia, I had to file with them. While I sat in my car with my family trying to find another hotel, I witnessed what looked like nonstop prostitution and other sketchy activity happening all around the property. This is not a safe place for any family, period. The final insult? Expedia called me the next day to say the motel’s manager refused to refund me because “an hour and a half” was enough to charge me. So basically, they expect you to pay full price for a filthy, unsafe, scam of a room. This motel is a disgrace — dirty, shady, and run by people who clearly don’t care about guests, only squeezing money out of them. If you are a decent person, family, or couple, STAY AWAY. I don't even understand how a serious business like Expedia can work with an establishment so terrible, the only person I want to thank in all this ordeal is Yara a customer service representative that truly tried.

I had given up on motel 6 all together after staying at a couple in Fresno CA. Literally those were disgusting l, horrible managenent dirty etc etc ....... ******* HOWEVER: ********** the brand new studio 6 in Madera just opened in December 2023 and is such a wonderful option! All rooms getting full makeovers, now have beautiful thick bedding, super clean rooms, no scary people wandering around the property ever, the owners are so sweet and kind and live on the property so they want u to love your stay... Totally safe, quiet, right off 99. Down the street from the whole Walmart shopping type area . And still at the low motel 6 type price. Still pet friendly!!!! Seriously we travel for a living so I have stayed in lots of hotels and omg. I will be back here next trip as well!!!! Book this one if it is available!!!!!!!!
