Very good Clean, comfortable and tidy

We stayed here for 1 night and had a bargain last minute deal, in summer (but no longer heatwave). The room (ground floor) was recently refurbished, clean, spacious, lovely bathroom with shower and toilet. Smart TV with access to some free movies as well. Very central location but not noisy.

Awful parking no chance of improving . Saw one person while I was there in 3 days very polite offered to help with luggage . Stairs not really suitable for children or elderly.(as I am ) Take your own mug in my room(Single) I had what resembled a thick pottery cup ( no saucer ) Bedding and towels pure white and delight . New en- suite bathroom toiletries included. Diddnt smell fresh ( smoke ) carpet was threadbare . Decor and red curtains awful needs replacing . Could not keep window open . Very central very quiet Beautiful old building. The main thing was not 10 inches from my window scaffolding which was used by builders Saturday and Sunday morning who were very loud vocal language unrepeatable . Could be with TLC attention to detail a very sought after single occupancy….

The rooms were very clean and there was plenty of tea/coffee available. The host was very helpful and pleasant. The Guest House was situated in a quiet location just off the town centre and about a 20-25 minute walk from the Railway Station. If I was visiting the area again I wouldn't have any hesitation in staying at the Archway Guest House.
