Murrieta Hot Springs Resort

Stayed for one night with our pup from Sunday to Monday and was pleasantly surprised with the relaxing stay! Accommodations: We stayed in one of the historic Stone Lodge rooms which were a good size, conveniently located near a grassy area and the baths, and most importantly quiet! Bed was super comfortable so we got great sleep. Had some minor issues with the TV, robes were missing from the room and could not reach anyone at housekeeping or guest services when we tried to call, but Tyler at the front desk was very helpful. Baths: The baths were definitely the highlight of the stay. It was still busy at 5pm on a Sunday but we didn't have any issues finding loungers or spots in the baths. The contrast terrace tubs were almost completely full so expect a wait for these but we were able to snag one and this was definitely one of our favorites. There was a bit of hair and debris in the baths since it was the end of the day but to be expected and it was much cleaner the next morning. We appreciated that we had 24 hours access as hotel guests and took advantage of a night soak as well which was very peaceful. Amenities/Activities: This was maybe the one disappointing part of the stay. The sauna was closed and a lot of the activities offered such as the mud cove are scheduled before the 4pm check in or after the 10am check out. Also for the pet fee you basically don't get anything like bowls or beds or other than being able to bring you dog. At least parking was free!

staff courteous and friendly, loved the steam and sauna rooms, mud bath, sound bath for the overnight guests. Food was adequate at the Cafe. All the mineral and hot springs pool were amazing!! Looking forward to our next visit! The special Yoga classes for the overnight guests should be offered every day, not just on select days.

The pools and hot springs are amazing! Very healing and nurturing for the body. The staff is kind of hands off but very nice once engaged. I highly recommend this place:))

They recently reopened, so a few kinks to still work out. The landscaping has some work to be done, and the restaurant hadn't opened yet, and check-in took quite a while. Pools were great, finding a lounger was difficult during the hours the day pass people would come in.

We had a great time! Access to additinal adult mineral pools is a must if your looking for a more peaceful soak.

The hot springs are incredible. With booking an overnight stay you have access to the hot springs for two full days, which is a great value. We enjoyed the small private hot tubs filled with natural springs water, which you can access only if you are an overnight guest, which were AMAZING. during the day, the public main part of the hotspots, which is open for day users was busy, so we mainly spent our time in the private area that you can only access if you are staying overnight. For dinner we dined at Talia’s kitchen, which we did not enjoy, but the next day we ate at the casual cafe next to the adults only section, and the food was good.. I highly recommend Murriata Hot Springs resort for your next getaway. We are already planning our next visit.

Room was clean and spacious. Staff was great and very welcoming/helpful. Pools were good, ranging from different sizes and temperatures. I would’ve liked them to be more temperature regulated, especially for the 24 hour pools, and slightly cleaner. They give you refillable water bottles but water stations are few and far in between. Overall though, fun and great experience. Will come back again.

The array of geothermal pools was great. The bath house was nice. Day pass visitors seem to be the priority which makes it difficult for those staying at the resort to have access to most of the pools or seating. The staff were very nice, but there weren’t many. We had issues with our room and no one answered the guest services phone when we called. They clean the pools in the morning. They check pool temperatures throughout the day. I have additional concerns and emailed the property.

The place isn’t clean some of the workers are rude

Water closet was broken, being not able to flush from time to time. Check out time is kind of early (10:00 am).

Property is great, lots of pools with different temperatures clearly marked and staff go around checking temperatures. Property and facilities are very clean, beautiful resort with very friendly staff. A must stay if you are looking to relax in natural geothermal hot springs.

Beautiful property but some of the pools had lots of dirt, skin flakes, and hair. Not sure if because it’s a hot spring the cleaning is different. Other than that the room was very nice and cozy.

Very slippery tiles in the building with the hot/cold walk. Not enough shade, not enough areas to sit around the pools. Nice breakfast cafe but very limited options. Very good rooms, but cleanliness around the property could be better. Restaurant has amazing food, service could be better. Plant more trees, improve maintenance. Make it more cozy, comfortable. Water should be changed after each use in the individual tubs.

I didn't like the bugs in my bed, the rotting wood banister, the shower in our room that smelled like urine, once the tiles got wet. The toilet that kept getting clogged, having to ask pillows and sheets for the sofa bed. Having to get mud from a bowl for our mud experience. I was disappointed with this property.

Pros: Property/grounds are beautiful. Service is polite and professional. Cons: Inconsistent heat in hot springs; room smelled musty.

Middle of suburbia, very poor service. Nice mineral pools. Fairly clean. Liked the old Architecture of the old bath house but the new buildings did not fit in. No continuity of architecture or physical appearance. Not enough plantings. Poor visual concept.

Very nice vibe! All of the staff way very nice! The walls were a little thin-could here our neighbors whole conversation! Besides that excellent ! Will be going again for sure!!

Very noisy at air condition

Room had a shower door that did not close and a large gap under the front door. Very dark room. No storage areas Walls thin. Room is not worth the 362 a night we paid at all!!!!! In future I’ll get a day pass to use the springs. Front desk check in a nightmare. Hotels over charged us then took forever to fix it. For warning that if you choose pay at hotel option that’s not really the cards. They billed me both nights room and tax the day before I arrived. We wanted to pay cash and then they billed my card again which in turn alerted fraud on my card and I then had no card to use the remainder of my stay. Frustrating. Scott the hotel manager was the only one who could figure it out and he was very nice.

Windows were painted and unable to open/close. Prices are unreasonable. Wellness activities unavailable weeks prior to stay. Check in is @ 4 pm & check out @ 10am without late check out availability. Definitely not worth the $$$$.

Nice room all but he lighting in bathroom none over sink area, spacious shower and comfy bed. No elevator for second story rooms.

Beautiful property but services and staff lacking. There's no restaurant, no room service, no mini fridge, you can't find anyone on the property to help you. Not even towels and robes a plenty you have to call to find someone to bring you a towel. The bar at lobby is nice and property has potential but needs more attention.

Beautiful property, spacious so it never felt crowded. Staff is warm and welcoming, and Kevin was especially helpful showing us to our room and taking us on a tour of the grounds. We checked in around 2pm on a Friday, no line, took maybe 10 minutes to go over everything included in your stay. And as far as whatever construction might have been going on that people were complaining about… didn’t see or hear a single thing. The only minor thing is the walls are thin. Very thin. But we’re not there to spend time in the room (although it’s beautiful and spacious). But couples be warned ;)

I first visited after seeing an Instagram ad. The hotel room was spacious and nice, but it was not cleaned well. The mattress on one side of the bed was sagging. And the 1m tall large stand on the veranda was not fixed, so it seemed like it would fall forward. I went with my 9-year-old daughter, and the stand was too dangerous to pass. So I called, but no one answered. I called several times, but no one answered. I called and waited for a long time, and when I asked the staff, they said the stand was not fixed and I needed a gown, but no one came.

Was already staying previous 2 nights but still needed to check in again. The housekeeping kept on asking to checkout. Front desk and housekeeping should have better communication.

When we checked in, the person said they didn't see any reservation under my name when I showed the Expedia reservation, she said she would have to book it from her end as it didn't show up, I stressed about making sure that I need to get the room I booked through Expedia as booked their luxury suit, and I ended up with an average room, after going to the room and climbing all the stairs ( No elevator in the property) our access cards won't let us in when I called room service we were told you need to go back to the reception area to fix it, so we again took our luggage and went to the front desk, after going to the room I wanted to get some ice and after going down, the ice machine is not working without a sign saying out of service, so I had to go back upstairs and call for ice. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the entire stay was nothing but stress rather than relaxation, we are back now and I see I was double charged for my room, one time through Expedia and once through the property. I called a few times and emailed and no one got back to me yet!!

It’s a beautiful place, our room was quite lovely (once we found it) and all the soaking tubs were quite enjoyable. But… The check-in process was the WORST I have ever experienced. When we arrived there were a few people ahead of us to check-in and the lobby quickly filled up with over 8-9 groups checking in. There was one person handling check-ins and it did eventually jump to 3 people and we had the luck of landing with a very new employee who was constantly waiting on the help of the other two to get her through our check-in. It took us AN HOUR in that lobby- meanwhile we had two young kids in the car absolutely falling apart. We also had plans that evening and were very disappointed to lose an hour of potential soaking time to get checked in. Once we finally received our wrist bands and room number and drove in and out gates to our building… the sign in the building included every room number except ours. We were going in circles until we realized the sign was just WRONG and our room was right there just somehow had been skipped on the signs that tell you which direction to go! I’ve been meaning to check my CC to see how much they charged me because they also told me the charge would change because we added on our kids, but we’re never given any information as to how much that add-on cost us. We also asked for a late check-out — you’d think after the horrible check-in experience that this request would be an easy yes but we were given a flat NO.

Perfect Weekend Getaway with Amazing Mineral Pools and Service I stayed at Murrieta Hot Springs last Saturday and Sunday and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The property is absolutely beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and an inviting, relaxing atmosphere. The mineral pools were a highlight—clean, soothing, and set in a scenic location perfect for unwinding. The on-site TALIA restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was top-quality, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. Service was exceptional—attentive, professional, and friendly. Every staff member I encountered throughout the property was courteous, knowledgeable, and clearly took pride in making guests feel welcome. Overall, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing weekend escape. Great location, amazing amenities, excellent dining, and world-class service. I can’t wait to come back!

The beginning of check in was just ok. It appears that the person who you get to check you in will determine what kind of service you get. I saw a representative providing great service, providing details and asking the guest what they would like to experience. They even gave their cards to contact them if anything was needed. Unfortunately, I got the representative who did not know how to work her computer. Informed me that my credit cards were being declined, I called bank and they stated it was never declined but actually has been charged. When I approached the representative again she stated oh yeah it did go through. She rushed through the check in and when I asked about the day pass for the next day ‘she stated she was about to get to that’. She gave me rough directions to my room which resulted in me running around getting lost I then ran into an employee with a cart escorting another guest and asked for directions. He stated that the front desk should have offered to have an escort. He was kind enough to escort me. The resort would benefit from calibration on customer service so that great service occurs as the norm as opposed to a lucky draw based on the person you get.

This newer hotel still has a lot to work out, rooms are trendy and cute but LOUD real loud. Not just normal hotel noise. It’s more like don’t get any sleep LOUD. The lobby bar is very cool. We kindly called to ask for a late check out and the staff on the phone was rude, told us ‘you need to leave your room now’. Did offer a day pass at a price. A simple we don’t have a late check out available today would have sufficed. This resort property was renovated from a small college and it shows. They kept a lot if staff, which is great, love that! but they are not trained in hospitality. Spa was fabulous ! We shared our frustrating sleep experience at check out. Staff just shrugged his shoulders. Unfortunately, for the price, we won’t return. I suggest a day pass and spa visit.

front desk staff wonderful and early check in no problem

Unfortunately when we returned from our event at 10:00pm our key didn’t work to get into our room. We called the front desk numerous times but couldn’t reach anyone. Finallly after 20 minutes someone answered their main line. The person who assisted us said that this tends to happen.

The property is beautiful and the hot springs were amazing. There were so many it didn’t feel to crowded. It’s nice that there are hot springs jut for over night guests. The room was super cute, big and clean. My only complaint was the check in process, there was only one employee with a long line of people. It took forever. For such a nice property and the price this process should be streamlined better. The manager needs to do better at scheduling and making sure there is plenty of staff to help at check in time, especially on weekends.

Location to tubs!

There is nothing like a full day of relaxing in the hotsprings or panoramic sauna and ending the day in your room on site. Ask for a lakeside view and enjoy waking up to a relaxing view, not to mention hotel guests have 24 hr access to the hotsprings. The cafe food is similar to other spas. Be prepared to order food from nearby restaurants after 7pm. Its the perfect getaway for the family AND theres an adult ONLY area.

Long wait at the reception, not good food.

This is a wonderful property for relaxing - truly 5 stars. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is that the breakfast options are terrible. It needs a nice restaurant open all day.

We loved being overnight guests at Murrieta Hot Springs Resort. Our lodging was the Hillside Suite and included a private geothermal tub and an outdoor hammock. Our bungalow was spacious and comfortable and just 40 steps from the "6-pack" geothermal pools. Nice perk: overnight guests have access to 12 pools not accessible to day trippers. We had great pool side service from Ahnee and Marly and were welcomed by customer service experts Riley and Kevin. At the Tortoise Shell cocktail bar, Veronica made me a special lemon drop drink that was exceptional, and I also had great service from Fritz at the Cafe Azuli. I also loved the mud bath activity, sitting in all of the geothermal tubs, playing in the Oasis pool, and relaxing on the sandy beach. The spa is still working out a few quirks. There isn\'t a sit down restaurant on site, but you can order delivery from Door Dash to the reception area. Poolside service seemed understaffed on Thursday afternoon, and the poolside cocktail bar opened 30 minutes late on Sunday. My wristband didn\'t work for ordering food and drinks most of the time, but they did let me charge my orders to my room. Some servers seemed frustrated about problems with the ordering system not working and the lack of food options for guests. Even with these little glitches, I encourage you to give Murrieta Hot Springs a try. The property is beautiful, the pools are plentiful, and I felt like the staff was doing their best to be helpful and cheerful.

Really nice pools with geothermal water, the property is new. - Everything is very disorganized, staff forgets stuff - Cafe Azuli should be renamed into Cafe Desesperación as you should only go there out of desperation. For breakfast it feels they just get stuff from the nearest 7-11 and warm it up for 3x the price.

Hidden in plain sight, this incredible property has so much potential. We especially liked that over night guests have 24 hr access to the pools. Once they have the food situatuated it'll be perfect. The wristbands for access and payment we're a welcome surprise and made getting around and paying easy and convenient. The towels for the pools being distributed in the day use checkin was not great, but they're open to improvement and feedback from what I could tell.
