Relax Inn by OYO Sulphur Hwy 90

Older property been remodeled. No amenities, ice coffee etc.

TERRIBLE experience! Definitely NOT a VIP property! Bent pole holding up porch overhang with peeling paint. Paint peeling off of all exterior doors. Paint peeling off of inside of exterior door and both sides of bathroom door. One lock only for exterior door – no interior door latch. Paint peeling off apron/front face of sink. 3 light bulbs above sink – 1 burnt out and 1 missing. One dresser with 4 drawers and one end table with a drawer. ALL drawers had mold inside the bottom of the drawers and one had stuff left in it. No telephone. 2 double beds – one had a top sheet so thin you could see through it. No stoppers for sink or tub. No shampoo or hair dryer. Tub handle turned counter-clockwise. Commode handle and tank held together with black electrical tape. Direct TV but only a remote for Direct TV – this remote would not turn on the TV or control the volume. TV had a button to turn it on but no way to control volume which was way too low with the noisy A/C. Gaps in the caulking of the tub. Rusted shower rod.

A staff that is wonderful. Honest, good willed, caring people. Room was decent. Probably among the better places to stay in Sulpher. Off the main drag a big. If you need a place to stay for a few hours. Better alone than with a partner for the double bedrooms. Cost worth.

Choosing this hotel was easy because of its accessible location. The stay felt organized and relaxing overall. Staff provided consistent and professional support.

Could use a simple update of paint etc., feels dated. Owners very nice and attentive to needs or requests. Bed was comfortable and clean.
