The location, lake view and building is beautiful. We didn't get instructions about the lights and ceiling fans. The fan was noisy. Because the temperature had dropped it was cold. We couldn't figure out how to shut the fans off. The host showed me the unusual set up as we prepared to leave after 2 day stay. Shared bathroom. Terrible lighting. Rust stains in toilet. The rug in the great room smelled bad from dog. The property needs a lot of maintenance.

The check in was easy and the rooms were tidy and comfortable. I was a bit worried about not having a/c, but the windows were open and fans were on…it was a perfect temperature. There was a nice selection of “help yourself” breakfast items each day. Such a beautiful house; we are so glad we chose to stay there.

This place looked like what horror films are made of! Cobwebs in the windows, musty, tiny little bed in a tiny room with a fan....Unkempt lawn & driveway! Definitely weird, unless youre into that sort of thing. We said NOPE & stayed at a hotel!

This place is the greatest hidden gem of the Northwood. Make sure you book it. We are already planning our return trip this winter.

Beautiful house/property! Was sent door code via text. Home owners disappointed we never met but I was up and gone fishing early and came “home” late. Great first time bed and breakfast experience for me!
