Baymont by Wyndham Mequon Milwaukee Area

There were no garbage bags in any of the garbage in the room, none of our outlets worked correctly, poorly lit, water was not hot it was at the most warm. The tiles were disgusting there was missing paint chunks in the bathroom, the hot tub was broken and nothing was said at check in. We found out by it being covered with a safety cone on top of it.

This is an OK hotel that needs some work and TLC. We did not receive soap or shampoo the first 2 days despite asking. On day 4, we came home to our bathroom being infested with gnats. Pool was dirty. TV does not work in exercise room and exercise bike does not turn on. People were cavorting outside , drinking, smoking, and playing loud music on the hotel lawn at night. It’s in a good area. We brought up issues that were not addressed and when we checked out were told that we should have told day staff (we had told night staff) and that we would have to go through expedia for a credit. After the first 2 days they were more attentive with towels and maintaining the bathroom.

Solid hotel with good dining options within a 3 minute drive. Fitness facilities/room are sub-par.

It felt like we may have been the only room booked but they still made eggs and sausage for the free breakfast. The pool needs a touch up but was still nice to hang out with my son. Hot tub was not working. We were told that it has been broken since 2020. The mattress could use a replacement.

This has been my third stay in the last few months. The parking lot does not have the best curb appeal due to the extreme amount of cracks. The bathrooms could all use some refreshing.

Our room was not clean . The bathroom floor ,toilet shower area wall was moldy and in disrepair. The pool area had holes in the concrete with rocks thrown in the hole . The loungers by the pool were broken and dirty and unsafe .The top bed linens were dirty. I had to remove them.The smell of the room was mildew. I stayed here a few years ago. It was nice. It is now really bad.

I would have to say if we had to go on some of the negative reviews we would not have stayed here. Fortunately many of them were wrong! We had a comfortable stay, room was clean. Only downfall was the conditions- needs a paint job and whirlpool not working and according to staff will never work due to state codes due to the whirlpool being internally part of the main pool the state will not give them a certificate to operate. This is too bad!

Front desk staff had no personality. Felt like he did not want to be there. No elevators so you have to climb stairs, Lights in parking lot are non-existent. Bed was comfortable, Wi-Fi sucked unless you paid for a hot spot.

Older hotel and decor. Nice indoor/outdoor pool. They charge a small handling/resort fee in addition to your booking fee so be prepared for that. Good breakfast, friendly staff, good coffee. Would stay again!

The indoor/outdoor pool was unique and a great bonus to our stay. Breakfast was also nice. Terrific place for a family and close to many Mequon amenities.

I could hear the person in the next room snoring and their conversation. I could hear the people on the floor above me walking around. There were bugs and a bug trap in the barhroom. Needs a major update!.

Close to restaurants and freeway. Shower wasn’t cleaned. Chunk of old soap on shower floor and tub and walls still wet. Carpet in room felt damp. Bed very saggy.

We had 2 rooms and both had dirty tubs, dirty toilets, dirty sinks, unlimited nats. Its seemed like the more we killed the more came out. The entire logged smelled. Room service people were not friendly. The only accommodations were extra towels and another microwave because the one in our room died on day 2. Over priced for a roach motel. The room had an odor and the bed cover looked like someone had used it already. The dust on top of the headboard was several inches thick. The room definitely needs an upgrade.

I could use the shower. It was dirty and There is mold on the caulk. Not very clean around the tub with large areas that hadent Been cleaned in a while. Their were pieces of debris around The edge of the tub.

For the price I didn’t expect luxury. But I did expect the room to be clean. Tub looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in years. Dust on most of the surfaces. And extremely muggy, even with the A/C running full blast. Will not stay there again. Tried letting front desk know about concerns upon check out, but she couldn’t care less…

My family and I traveled to Milwaukee WI to my nephew Gerald Burtonsville funeral my family and myself stayed at the Baymont Inn in Mequon Wi and I we went to bed and I woke up all bit up. Reported to the front desk they took pictures they said we have no extra rooms we will have to spray the room and that's that so be careful staying at the Baymont by Wyndham were ever so I had to make my face up real good for no one to see my face, neck, thumb and fingers all bit up I'm not sure what ate us up

The room and hotel was dirty and it had a stench.

Underwear from previous stay were left on the bathroom handle and the shower was definitely not cleaned after the last stay.

Nice, relaxing evening in a cabin themed suite.

The rooms need new mattresses, but otherwise it was a nice hotel.

I booked a 2 Queen bedroom, but they were full size beds and they were usually lumpy and folded in. "BEWARE" THE HOTEL WILL CHARGE AN EXTRA $7.00 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE WHEN BOOKING THROUGH A 3RD PARTY". No elevator for the handicap (even though it was two floors) an elevator is a necessity; take a shower the water does not go down properly. Dried old food under the beds, stained sheets/pillowcases, the room did not smell fresh nor did the sheets. Towels and washcloths not clean, I had to go and buy my own. Even though there was free breakfast, the area was not cleaned consistently, limited food. The hallways of the hotel smelled old. Nothing about the place or the room are updated. Not even USB plugs to charge your electronics'. This room was not worth $157.00 for one night.

This is an older hotel. Which I knew, but the Internet speeds were atrocious (7 Mbps down, 3 Mbps up). The owner of the hotel was onsite and said he could call IT to approve my device, but that it would be a Max of 10 Mbps. I let the owner know, since I needed reliable Internet to work while staying I was not able to stay and checked out 39 minutes after checking in. He refused even a partial refund of my two night booking. There was also the fact the corners of the bathroom and tub hasn't been cleaned in a very long time and the room has a very musty odor.

The hotel was fine but my room smelled moldy and like smoke. There were people hanging out in the parking lot that were noisy.

The hotel needs renovated. My room had clearly been smoked in and the smell was horrendous.

It is very convenient to visit family and hotel/room was good. Nice to have breakfast available. Glad to have refrig in room as we needed to bring some food to our family. We were not able to connect to Netflix on tv.

We were bumped from our room and given no options other than a room that didn't work for our family. Had a terrible night of sleep and weren't offered anything for the inconvenience. Will not be staying again. Hotel was kind of gross too.

The hotel manager claims that reservations should have a 5% resorts fee. There is not mention of this on the Hotels.com App in any of the fine print. They hand write the additional fee on the already paid invoice from Hotels.com. The manager pointed to a 5% cancelation cleaning fee in an attempt to justify the additional charge. When challenged on the subject the manager then blames the fee not being on the invoice due to not having a steady sales rep from Hotels.com or Expedia. I would never stay at this hotel again. They are clearly trying to take advantage of customers.

The staff was very good from checking in to checking out. No issues with loud noises or others guests. This place was peaceful and we will definitely reserve again. The only complaint would be the handicap parking. It was a bit too far but we managed it. 😃

Our attendant at check-in was amazing! Super friendly, easy to talk to and accomodating.

Everyone who works at the Baymont is super friendly and helpful. My husband's a light sleeper, so when we realized we were on the first floor, he asked if we might switch to upstairs and we were quickly and cheerfully accommodated. It's not the newest or fanciest place in the area, but it's conveniently located for folks visiting Fox Point or Mequon family members.

Room was dirty service was rude

Prepaid in full through Expedia. Additional fee of $9.13 not mentioned at check in was noted on receipt. Called back property staff quite polite but said they were supposed to have mentioned at check in, however they add the fee for third party reservations. Called Expedia who kindly will follow up and compensated me with rewards cash.

I advised the property that i would not check in u til around 4am due to my flight arrival. I called when I was on my way and the lady at the front desk was rude and told me to hurry up. Arrived and the hotel had a very sour smell. Very out dated porperty. No elevators. Gave me a hard time for extra towels when they only provided 3 a I booked for 5 adults and stayed for a whole week. Questioned me as to why I needed more toliet paper. Just an overall unpleasant experiance. Only thing good about this place was Ms Connie the morning front desk worker. She is sooo sweet.

I did not appreciate being charged $50 for each room when they were ready and available just because I was there early. I understand if the room were not available that was not the case. Also, I asked to leave my suitcase at the hotel and the person told me to leave them in the main area unattended. So I ended up paying the money to get my room.

The hotel is dated. reminded me of an old country kitchen. I didn't mind though. the pool was older but clean. Very quiet hotel (very few guests?) Breakfast was a little scant but served the purpose. I would stay again. the price was right.

I love how welcoming it felt coming in. It felt like going into grandma’s house where, yes—the furniture is older but it’s cozy. The staff is super friendly! I do understand most people have high expectations for hotels, but I do appreciate the tones and older decor of this hotel. Sometimes it’s nice to walk into a place that isn’t so modern or high-tech. Our room was perfect for our family as we have three littles. Our kids enjoyed the couch and the big queen bed. Everything was pretty clean. It’s important to just bring your own cleaning equipment if you’re anything like me and enjoy extra cleanliness but it really isn’t even necessary. Breakfast, in the morning, was so peaceful, cozy, and just what you need for a little wake me up: eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, yogurt, juice, and coffee. While I did not attend the pool area with our other two boys, my husband did with our oldest. They enjoyed it! Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates a quiet, safe, and cozy environment. It isn’t for someone who expects high tech or over-the-top decor. It’s perfect for a few nights stay or a little get-a-way with your family for a night. There is a $100 deposit that should hopefully be credited back to your account a few days after check-out. Also, parking is so spacious. You should have no issue. I’d rate this 4/5 because again, I appreciate quiet, simple, and the basics. A lot of these reviews talking down on this hotel are probably from entitled people.

Convenient location and grear prices.

The location was great, the area felt safe and the staff was very friendly, but the room, especially the bathroom was very dirty and I would have a hard time ever staying there again.

The hotel was a short drive to Milwaukee where we had concert tickets. Very clean and the staff was very nice. A bit disappointed that the hot tub was not available, but overall, it was a lovely stay. Would stay here again!

Staff was very friendly, especially the gal working Saturday, October 25. The rooms weren't as clean as they could have been. And I was disappointed with no coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was okay... but the real downer was the coffee... it was so weak you could see the bottom of your cup. I think this is an easy fix! The helper just needs to know how to properly make coffee! We had a large group, and were very thankful for the pool and lounge area for our kids to enjoy.

The front desk staff were super friendly and supportive of our needs. The housekeeping staff were always smiling and saying hello. The breakfast had very few choices but what they had was good. The pool water was cold and the pool itself had a lot of chipped paint. Our room was clean and spacious with the exception of the bathtub it was nasty.

Was only there late night to early morning, had breakfast and left. Great value for the price. Breakfast was decent, the only complaint was the sausages should be browned!😩

Very quiet place, the pool is very well kept and fun design. I wish the breakfast was better. They should invest in a waffle maker. The ego style waffles weren't very good. Maybe another option besides eggs and sausage. Otherwise very spacious nice place, great customer service!

THIS is the best hotel in mequon.. I stayed at 3 while visiting my son who attends Concordia University.. trust me you will regret it.. nice staff And the breakfast is 🔥

The breakfast was the worst we have ever had. The sausage was undercook scrambled eggs were oily. We desired to try the instant oatmeal there was no microwave to make the oatmeal we had to take it back to the room to make it which had a mess. Then there was no honey or brown sugar to sweeten it. It was not good
